- Menswear stylist Daniel Johnson joins BBC world news' Aaron Heslehurst to discuss how the work place is becoming less formal. The two also discuss how bankers in suits are having to work around their dress sense when dealing with younger, cooler fintech companies.
The discussion reached 111 million and was broadcast live on the BBC world news channel in 2017.

Funny how these "new" suits are made for a very slim fit, yet the new generation is the fattest on record.
James Milligan - you make a good point! But we often dress difficult shapes, I think the skill of a tailor is being able to get shape where there is none.
Great that you are able to adapt these outfits to those folks of a "weighty" nature. Nonetheless, a "slim" suit for an overweight person seems like a nonsequitur. No wonder that the "demise" of the suit is forecast. The majority of these folks are so fat that it is difficult to wear one.
James Milligan - I understand your point but we make suits to fit the person, it's bespoke. Our philosophy is that it should fit close, not tight. You want to enjoy wearing it.
@@DanielJohnsonPersonalStyling I just want to echo what you say here. I'm a short, fat guy who wants not to be, but I was made to realise only a couple of years ago that I need to dress properly for my current shape instead of buying clothes for a future, healthier me or hiding my shame in piles of fabric. After buying a tailored suit, made to measure shirts and braces (buttons, not clips), I'm now infinitely more comfortable and confident in my workwear than before & than casualwear.

Almost, one of his old makers. Some slightly different details and a much closer fit on the waist

GSG7 G - it's not but the lapel is very similar, one of his old coat makers assisted with this suit so you can certainly see similarities. Great eye you have!
