Also I just watched the turnaround. I had no idea you were behind the Turner ovation and his turnaround. What a cool thing you did. Keep being you pal. Love the videos and your infectious personalty. Philly loves you. ❤👏👍
Yo cuz, just watched the turnaround… This movie brought tears to my eyes because I live philadelphia so much and so proud of you philly captain!! This is such an incredible beautiful story thank you for this!!
The big difference between Jay Leno and Seinfeld when it comes to cars is that Leno is your typical hands-on, down-and-dirty gearhead, while Seinfeld is simply a collector!
Great video Captain We make are annual trip every year to the auto show This weekend coming up we will be in town Can’t wait !!! Plus the birds are playing we love it from your neighbors to the north right here in Scranton Pa thank you for the great videos Captain you help us out go to places when we visit Like 9th street Italian markets we love it all !!!
Thanks for doing this Cap save me the toll and ticket money. To me it seems like its going down hill. Not alot of manufacturers are showing up. I haven't been to the Philly auto show in a few years since they've been doing away with land rover, bmw, mb, and now lexus.
Thank you for posting this so I'm convinced once more that I didn't miss anything important, such as fawking at someone's jalopy from a distance. Some is with the awtoshows at Warrington, Philly, Bryn mawr. Those shows become virtue signaling and a way for collectors to market this junk, or to promote said junk not to be a piece of junk to begin with .
I've only ever seen 2 curb side EV charging stations outside of a rowhouse, down in South Philly. And once I saw an outlet on the front of someone's garage out near Andorra that said it was EVs.
I've never watched any of the Fast and Furious movies. And I don't feel like I'm missing all that much. Or, at least, enough to make me want to go watch any of them ...
We were able to get an exclusive look at The Philly Captains notes and fun facts from the 2025 Philadelphia Auto Show: The Subaru display would motivate more car buyers if they used the 'Rabbit of Caerbannog'--The rabbit in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" movie instead of dogs and puppies... The Tesla Cybertruck, was actually designed and manufactured by the "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits computer-animated characters, and because the title of song actually fits perfectly to how buyers of truck feel like after paying that kind of dough for this heap.... The remake of the Twisters movie, the "Twisters" Truck does not come with a copy of the Hasbro game 'Twister'... The 2025 Philadelphia Auto Show food is in keeping with theme of show is actually made of delicious fresh Roadkill... Strudels...
How could they make a sequel to Twister? Why would they make a sequel to Twister? Questions everyone was asking when it came out. Last year I think? I do love the acceleration of my EV, never had a car before that would push me back into the seat the moment I touch the pedal. You are right about the issues with EV charging in areas with row homes. I doubt even in 20 years there will be enough public charging to cover all the people in cities with that type of housing. If you can't charge at home overnight it just doesn't make sense to get an EV.
There’s a mid sized section on another floor called “Custom Alley” I think you missed, you might not have liked it because sales people hawk fuzzy dice, car simonizer, custom paint jobs ( flames..) rims and hydraulics…
Hey John it was great meeting you at the auto show. Keep doing what you do. Hope to catch you around town again. 👍

See you there!

Hey Philly Captain, great video & tour of the Phila Auto Show-Convention Center-Center City Phila..Enjoy your day and Tootles..
I think after the Las Vegas thing, that everyone would want a Cyber Truck, especially after they said they were going to clean it up and drive it.
Twisters is on Peacock

It does seem like it’s getting smaller every year
I believe that the teeny tiny smart cars have a special framing that stops the car from being crushed completely

That mascot wasn't the mascot of NJM. That's the 76ers mascot, Franklin the Dog.
I'm going to DC's car show at the Beginning of February. Hopefully they have a lot of vintage cars.
