I am doing horde every 10 days and built this for my day 30 hoard. THIS WORKED SO WELL! Thank you very much for creating this video. I love playing the game, but am not quite good (or creative) enough yet to take on the horde. This made my gameplay so much less stressful.

Deserve way more views!! I use a similar method with the bars and hatches at the fighting point but I’m always disappointed with how it looks and this has such a great asthetic!

Thank you for this. This was exactly what I needed, the only thing I would say is for a real beginner it might be a struggle getting all of those resources for the first blood moon. But the good news is if you die, like what happened to me, before you can finish it, it's not a big deal the blood moon just ends. I had it ready (and I even modified it somewhat) with resources to spare by the 2nd blood moon on Day 14. You said it will carry you through Day 14 only but I don't see any reason (so far) why it won't last more blood moons than that even. I threw some Iron Spike Traps in the mix and everything at a few places you said they like to attack as well as underneath the bridge by the main fighting position for the ones that fall so they hurt themselves if they fall too, and even more spike traps so they hurt themselves while trying to get out of the spike pit too. Not sure what if anything it does, but it looks nice and works great. The blood moon itself was over by midnight, and all that was left was a nice big pile of yellow bags for me to loot when it was done :) thanks again.
We only said day 14 because we couldn't guarantee that it could work for day 21. It certainly has for us with modifications but sometimes it hasn't, depending on how fast you level as well. It's just based on the person's experience with the game but we're glad this helped you!

Zombs select the shortest and softer way to reach out to you. So with this base zombs will trying to get you using by up ladders to the door. Easy way for them.
Actually, we remove the first 2 ladders at the very bottom (and the first usually at the top but forgot to do that here) But doing that, they will never see it as a path. Never had an issue with them trying to climb

I have a base that’s somewhat similar to this one. I built it before horde night 35 and it took massive damage from the police spitters on the front of my base. The stairs where also partially destroyed and they where 3 blocks wide. But the base still held , they never made it to the front of my base. Definitely a good base design. But not a endgame base.
Yup! Definitely not which is why we said it was good until day 14! The spitters are what really gets it 😅

Hey first of great vid, very informative, second of, is there an easy way to get cobblestone? Ive upgraded to tier 2 quests and i havent gotten alot of cobblestone from the traders im on day five and im working on making this base for my multiplayer world for my first horde night, thank you!!
We tend to get our cobblestone from trader, usually buying from the shop or shoveling it from the palets. Worst comes to worst, we mine clay and stone and make it ourselves!
will this base last would it be viable late game?? also you guys are doing amazing with the editing and keepig it clear and informative you guys are gonna blow up big in the 7 days community for sure!!!

how effective are steel spikes? can they take down a good amount of zombies before they break as a passive defence? currently doing a playthrough of darkness falls best mod so far !
Spikes are a little iffy these days. They're good short term but the overall usage and maintenance is not always worth it. They're fun to play around with though so always give it a try. Makes things interesting!
I can’t seem to get the scaffolding planks to sit on the bannister. It only locks on to the box above or to the side?l. Any ideas?
You probably have the blocks on-face rotation, which positions them on the top of certain blocks you're on. When you're on the block settings in R, make sure your rotation is set to the normal/regular one and you should be able to get it. Let me know if you can't figure it out, and I can get on the game so I can give you the specific details!
I'm not able to locate air duct ramps in the shape menu. Do they have a different name?

Die war echt cool gewesen die horten base. Können sie noch einen bauen, mit der selben Beschreibung eine die sehr schwer ist? Den viele andere machen das viel zu schnell und ich kenne nur 2 Personen die das in ruhe machen sie und eine andere person. Das wäre mall echt super von ihnen

Suggestion: Next time could you estimate the cost of your horde builds? aka bases cost the amount of block frames needed and upgrade cost.
We actually listed it in the description! But in the future, we can include it in the video itself. This base definitely still works!
I don't have baluster rails in shapes.
Sometimes it's hard to find! I struggle myself but it's definitely there. Make sure you're searching in all shapes

How many hordes did you survive in this base? my next horde is day 21 and I don't know if it's worth doing
At the state it's in, we don't recommend using it for day 21. There are certain things you CAN do to this particular base to make it viable for day 21 like upgrading to concrete and adding electricity, but it can also depend on your game stage as well. We plan to release a video showing how to modify this exact base for the harder horde nights because it definitely is possible!
@@VylasPlays I won't be able to deal with electric traps (unless I manage to unblock them by then). I'm currently producing concrete, I have a lot of ammo and good melee weapons. I think I can do it
@bartekbiegun6942 No harm in giving it a try! Make sure to have a lot of pipe bombs, grenades and molotovs on hand. Those also help a lot to prevent the zombies from stacking too much. Also doesn't hurt to have a fall back position if you have the resources, which could simply be the same setup, just behind you. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
@@VylasPlays Hi, I'm currently on 42 day horde. I upgraded everything to steel, which was heavily attacked, I have one punch turret, I have an electric trap in two places and it's going very well, great base

ok so I know you listed the materials required but I would really appreciate if you told me how many blocks I need for this, I spent all week doing jobs and I'm strapped for time lol definitely my fault but yk
Edit: I winged it, basic tower defense style. Almost died. Please folks, plan out your builds a day in advance.

Hahah well usually you won't have much resources to build something stronger but we're planning to release a video that shows how to extend the base for late game because it is possible with this particular build
Change the bridge to something thinner.
upgrade to concrete.
add extra ways for zombies to get to the main ramp in case of damage.
then build base with better resources in a hard biome for high game stage and better loot.

Made this base for horde day 14 and they came up the ladder in the back. So yeah it totally failed...
Did you remove the bottom two ladders? Removing the bottom two (and even the top) will eliminate them ever thinking it's a path.

you are unnecessarily exposed and will attract a ton of spit. Dont use hatches they are cop spit bait. Dont use railing, use the (double) catwalk railing at the fighting position. Dont use flat railing to prevent zombie stacking, use the diagonal. This base is kinda nub copy of the pro's (and no I dont mean me).
