36th Fuerteventura World Cup - Highlight Video Surf-Freestyle

Strong winds of up to 40 knots (74 km/h) pushed the GWA Wingfoilers to new heights at the World Cup on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura. In the surf freestyle discipline, which is all about the best tricks and jumps, 17-year-old Spaniard Nia Suardiaz and 18-year-old US-American Christopher Macdonald came out on top against their competitors. With their victories, the top two not only won the event on Fuerteventura, but also the world championship titles in the surf freestyle discipline.
