Windsurfing is a form of sailing, where a board is powered across the water by the wind.
Windfoiling has taken the windsurfing world by storm and is now is on everybody’s mind. You may have been sceptical about the whole foiling thing, but the fact is that everyone that has tried foiling has only positive things to say about it.
If you are a complete beginner, this article will hopefully give you a better understanding of what windfoiling is, how it works, and give you some guidelines and tips on how to choose the right foiling equipment. Light wind windsurfing has become fun again, like in the good old days.
Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam 2019
The spot of choice on Fuerteventura must be Sotavento, one of the most famous places to wind- and kite-surf in the world! The beaches are wide with gorgeous golden sand and the local lagoons at Sotavento and Risco del Paso provide shallow, flat waters for beginners and freestyles. The biggest selling point of the spot though, is of course the wind! The prevailing north-east trade wind on the island gets a massive speed boost thanks to the terrain. That powerful, consistent blow is what makes the entire island a paradise for freestylers and slalom speed demons.

Συμφωνώ φίλε Κώστα, κι εγώ τελευταία έβλεπα βίντεο και μου άρεσε αλλά είδα τιμές καινούριου και μου έφυγε το καφάσι. Αν βρω κανένα μεταχειρισμένο ίσως το προσπαθήσω. Πάντως κάτι βίντεο με μαθήματα αρχαρίων που είδα, μου άρεσε πάρα πολύ.
Beautiful video with the perfect highlights montage of the best event of the tour. Good choice for the soundtrack too, especially the last one.

Es una lástima que el montador del vídeo no tiene ni idea de este deporte, con este material se puede elaborar un video espectacular, que de hecho lo es pero es por las distintas tomas
En el montaje del vídeo se corta lo mejor, que son las finalizaciones de la trasluchada donde se ve realmente la destreza del navegante, incluso las multiples caídas que hay en las boyas, porque van pasados de viento

Hi Tonny, thanks for sharing! High quality images and very nice shots, the feeling of the race comes thru! My only complaint is with the editing: most of the cuts do not complete the action they start. We start watching the racers enter the gybe but we don't get to see how they exit. We see someone overtaking others on the reach but don't get to see if they succeed. I would have preferred longer cuts :(
I do agree 100%, very good video except the one drawback.

Hi ! I love the quality of the video, but since this is racing and not a promotional video for a board or sail manufacturer, it would be nice to be able to follow the action better. With clear sequencing for instance (Slalom finals race 1) and text editing with name/results per race. To me it is like watching a video of Formula One (cars) with the qualifications then the final lap then middle of the race then back to qualifications, etc. with no idea of who is in front, second, etc.
It seems the video is acccelerated for a 90ties sindsurfer, amazing speeds.
Just been in my 3th day of useing harness for the very first time. Planing in harness is fun. Only i cant even do a tack or jibe.
been there... forget the tack, jibe by placing your back foot on the leeward rail, start turning the board, switch your feet to get the board strait down wind, then try to get the nose a little more turned - flip the sail agressively with your hands -- that's it - good luck

Nice Racing update, horrible sound track, such is not going to get very many windsurfers Thumbs UP, becos of that..
unwatchable..chopped up into 2 second flashes of windsurfing .No continuity or flow..guess this is the "style" but , it is a hashed up mess to be reconnected and appreciated.

editing sucks. rounding marker jibes are cut with no exit. the exit is the good, technical bit. coming into the jibe is easy, it's the exit where the skill comes into play

The the video quality is nice, but the editing is absolutely Horrible! 12 min. lenght for nothing! it's like a commercial advertising.....a sequence of mixed 2 seconds long cuts! NOT a single jibe shown from the start to the end! No story to tell. For me impossible to see to the end!

Also the intro to this video shows how you cant be a featherweight and compete in windsurf races. To balance against heavy winds you need to be a serious beefcake.
