Rory and Paris’s friendship development is one of my favorite things on the show! Their dynamic is so interesting. Rory was Paris’s best friend, even if Rory didn’t fully admit it. (But I do get why Rory didn’t consider Paris her best friend because she bullied her a lot in the past…) Anyway, I love how they constantly pushed each other to be better later on, with those rare soft moments that overshadowed the usual things that made their friendship so profound. It’s a big reason I kept watching the show. They’re never boring, so there’s always something new, juicy, and entertaining going on between them. They really understand each other, handling both crises and calm moments together. In my personal opinion, they’re the textbook definition of “friends for life” because they needed each other to grow.

I had a love/hate relationship with Paris for the first couple of seasons. When she helped Rory save herself from a jealous Dean, my heart started to warm to her. Plus Madeline and Louise were great sidekicks for Paris.
