People seem to be adopting the PS5 at roughly the same rate they adopted the PS4, which is good considering the PS4 was 250 USD at this point. PS5 is still at its launch price and in some regions its price actually went up! A competent Microsoft that could give Sony competition would be nice, but its not looking likely as long as Microsoft has given up on exclusive content.

The next big wave of current gen adoption will be GTA6 Sony will probably do a deal with Rockstar to sell GTA6 as part of a PS5 pro bundle.

It's not everything about exclusive games is lacking or whatever it's the lack of next Gen games from both sides is why players are not upgrading to the series x and the ps5... And with everything bein so expensive life come first
I haven't upgraded to the PS5 because of my problems with my PS4. I can't play any games on my PS4 Pro because its so LOUD. Yes, I keep it clean, I've changed the thermal compound and the fan. I just don't see a reason to upgrade. Maybe the PS5 is loud, maybe it isn't. I know my Xbox One X is whisper quiet and all i have to do is keep it clean. I haven't had to do major maintenance to it like i have my PS4.

PS5 still outselling waitbox 5 to 1, PS4 is just that good and every sale still counts for PS, be it PS4 or PS5, even cod wants the PS4 gamers
It's a problem for Sony and their big AAA exclusives though. Literally half their user base can't buy them. Spiderman 2 could have doubled its sales if people upgraded.
PS5 sales are doing more than the PS4 sales to this time in the life-cycles. Even though there are still so many PS4 owners taht have still yet to get a PS5. That is AMAZING. That Ps5 has still sold more than PS4 in the life-cycle to date and so many PS4 players still to come. You know they will get a PS5 eventually. Sony is dominating.
In my opinion, Sony doesn't have near enough exclusives on the PS5 to justify even getting one today and we're over 4 years into the gen already. Sonys definitely disappointed me for the PS5..
At least ps5 controllers don’t need new batteries every 3 hours

I've been enjoying what Sony has made regardless if it was 1st or 2nd party. Nintendo has also been killing it lately. I also sold my xbox after redfall and I have seen no reason to buy another one. Of you have a ps5 then sell it if not then dope

The company needs a leadership change. They need a Japanese CEO. Just like Nintendo has. Phil Spencer and crew have ran the company into the ground. I do not own a PS5 and I see no point in having one.

PS5 sales may be hindered by the lack of exclusive games and the popularity of titles also available on PS4. So true best buying Xbox they have all exclusive games and the popularity of titles
Even people sticking to their PS4, PS5 still outsale Series.
Main reason for upgrade for PS5 is to play your backlog in PS5 upgrade or stable 60fps for PS4 back compatibility.
Why get an Xbox series when you have an One? Just grab Gamepass and play series games via streaming. Yep, Microsoft shot themself in foot with this one.

This is the dumbest take. Tango game works was one of their finest studios and won them multiple awards. Evil within and hifi rush along with Prey was loved by fans.
I own an Xbox but i can accept facts that PlayStation has better exclusive.
Xbox this generation is absolute dumpster fire. Halo sucks, gears is non existent, Forza horizon was good but the mainline Forza sucked. Hifi rush was the only good game this generation and now they are closed.
The worst part is they sent out a memo a day after sitting the studio that they want more games like HiFi rush. Xbox is run by morons right now
