What I love about the far cry 5 music is it’s slow progression throughout the game. In the first region (John) the music is more upbeat than all the others, while Faiths is a representation of how now the Cult is taking it seriously, seeing this as a real fight now. But Jacob’s region show the sheer desperation on both sides trying to kill each other and it’s SUCH a good way of silent storytelling

I've always liked how in the whitetail mountains, the music doesn't sound like you're fighting, it sounds like you're being hunted
