I love your homey vlogs, so relatable as a newish mom. Also shopping for a 2 year old girl is so fun!!! It’s like shopping for yourself without all the sizing probs and weird body hangups. Such an unexpected parent reward. Hope you start getting better sleep soon!
I'm from Sydney but I lived in Toronto for 2 years and let me tell you, I thought I hated winter before we moved and then I experienced a proper -20C all the time, 5 month long winter. Now we're back in Sydney, I actually get excited about the seasons changing and coming into the cooler weather because I know exactly how cold it gets and how to dress for it, and it's really not that bad compared to what other people in the world experience! Winters do get noticeably colder in Melbourne, but in Sydney in winter it's pretty common to still have 20C days - but it'll be under 10C in the mornings and evenings which feels pretty cold when you've never felt sub-0!
For context, I have the Sezane Emile cardi too and in winter I'll wear a pair of jeans, a cotton t-shirt underneath and that cardigan and feel warm enough, sometimes even too warm during most days. I never really wear my coats anymore unless I'm heading out at nighttime because I've got such good knitwear, and I know in the mornings it'll warm up and I won't need it.
I was a Crocs hater but then got some Croc sliders and I love them so much! They are great beach shoes and even in winter they are great quick slip on shoes if you need to pop out like to put the bins out or something!
I can 100% relate to your desire to move back down under. I lived in NZ until I was 12. 35 years later, and I still cant cope with Canadian winters lol. NZ was such a magical place to grow up in. Bare feet and outside all the time and the ocean 15 min away. Perfect childhood!
@kate.spiers I got married and had a wack of kids fairly young. It just isn't doable to make such a big move at this point. I'm stuck with surviving the snow lol
I felt cold in Sydney today because it was sunny but only 24 degrees 😂 If I had my pick though, I’d probably move to Queensland (best weather and not as busy or expensive as Sydney!)
Enjoying all the vlogs! I work from home with 3 children under 5 and it’s a lot of working at random times. I sit on the couch a lot with my laptop while they are playing or watching a show. Just gotta wing it most days. 😂
The universe is telling you if you don't get the lamp (or insert lamp equivalent) it'll still go to a good home. No love lost, so you can resume your chill vibes 😊😊😊💡🛋️
Haha so glad we all got the closure from the lamp saga! I think it's the universe saying, it wasn't meant to be and it's gone to another home and that you don't need it. Please keep the vlogs updated with your house makeovers, dahlia's room is looking absolutely beautiful and can't wait to see what you do with your room. Can I ask where your bed is from? Also very random but we're moving into our new home and need to know how you pronounce your surname as it's the same as our new street name. Is it Spiers as in 'Spy-ers' or 'Spears'... like britney haha xxx
I desperately want to move to Australia too 😂 I live in the US and even these comparatively mild winters are NOT IT for me! Have no ties there though so it’d be a little complicated 🤔
I think all immigrants feels like moving to a warmer company around this of the year. It’s just always cold. We need good spring summer now. And may I ask where are the mini rattan lampshades from please?
Hello Kate, How lovely to see you back on here🤩 You know that you have blocked me - obviously by mistake...do you think you could reply to my email or on here please? Thank you otherwise if you cannot it’s okay I will follow you on here but I am not a UA-cam person at all... Have a lovely Spring xx😀
I love that you are vlogging again! ❤🎉
Thank you!! ❤️

Oh no I completely get it, they have their place in society and I respect that. But at my core, I’m still a hater 🤪
What about a Birkenstock. I belong to that cult 😂
“Oh no”😂 will be my saying of the year! DJ having just the cutest clothes, jealous 😂

Ahh that’s so similar to me. Why haven’t you gone back? Just settled in Canada now?

My upbringing is so similar to yours and every winter I plan my move back to Australia as well! Winters are just so long.

The winging is so real. Also I guess with multiples they play with each other! 😂

The mask called 72 is amazing.
Kate, you have to try K-18!'s "molecular level hair mask"!! It's a miracle product.
