You guys doesn't use the possibilitys of low pass ground attack for don't wake up the AAA, i see you coming Strait line dive under AAA fire for the target , thats almost suicide !? How was you're death ratio on that type of attacks ? I mean for the group not just for one guy
statistics show otherwise. Within the top 10, we were the squadron with the fewest active heavy bomber pilots and the squadron with the fewest active pilots. Even so, we destroyed 354 targets on the ground. We used the techniques used by pilots of the time. There were few flights where we were unable to return to base. Getting damaged and managing the flight is part of it. We plan according to the distance from the target, analyze the aerial photography of the location, etc. We lost the Top Bomber Pilot and the 5th Top Bomber Squadron on the last day of TAW, even though the other squadrons ahead had twice as many pilots.
@@Paulo-hk8jw check mine, we are only 2 in my squadron on the Last taw at rly groundpounding the reds, i was 1st and my mate 2nd of the bomber list for a long time i died sunday (1day before the end) by a direct hit flak at 5.8km alt , rly sad XD, i've done some low ground attack on trainstation mostly never take hit of flak even on solo pass , bc i spot my target far away start dive far away to be at the deck at 5km away ( out of range of any Light flak and too low for heavy ) then i pass through the objective at full speed , and extract low dont climbing up before i was 10km away of the target. My comment is not criticism i just don't understand why you take that risk when you know the flak dont shoot at you if you come low ( tree top level)
@@CaMeL_BaG A feather. nothing my friend. I appreciate the feedback. As we use the JU 88 and HE 111, it is very difficult to fly decks with these heavy bombers. But let's get the class together to evaluate. We use this tactic for lighter planes like the BF 110, FW and Bf 109.
@@Paulo-hk8jw HE111 cant do low pass for sure, but the JU88 is quite fast and manœuvrable so i use it like that , specialy the C6 who dont have bombingsight
