You don`t say where you are from, but the whole of Europe is fascinating. I have seen things here that have left their mark on Europe for centuries. Eg, books found in a disused and walled up library in Valladolid, Spain, in which the printed words / paragraphs were `inked` out - and in their place the hand written opinions of members of the Order of Preachers : AKA The Spanish Inquizition. A rather dark part of the last half millenium. I don`t think that the library is open to the public. Certainly when I ( we ) were there it was a privaleged look around the part of that part of the college ( The English College, Valladolid ).
Why, are certain antique pieces worth so much? One of these appraisers said, "this is the work of a talented Craftsman, mastering his craft for decades! Skills developed, training, opportunity to practice, health of the Craftsman, have to all come together! "It's why some objects, seem to have a bit of magic to them!"
He forgot to mention the other type of ship which was built at VSEL, AIRSHIPS, the R80 was filmed as it was revealed for it's maiden voyage, and was guided from the hanger by hand i think it's on UA-cam.
My older sister got rid of hers a few years ago she struggled to sell it. They have restored the Victorian features but said she couldn't get much in the wardrobes. I just think she needs to Kerry out of Primark.
I feel like they talk more about a different type of antiques in these older vhs shows than they do on the programs today. Is that due to changes in popularity? Or are these antiques also less common and come up less often than they used to? So for that reason are less often on shows?

The amount of time they used to give to brown furniture; they rarely look at it anymore; can't give it away.
