With Auto Section box you can also just type any view name if you want to create a new 3D view if none of the available 3D views will work. The grow and shrink function looks awesome. Can't believe I missed that! Also will look for an opportunity to purchase your own cabinets add-in. It looks powerful
You know what would be cool? Like a video on Revit LT workarounds. Ways you can achieve complex Revit models in Revit LT. I don't know if that's possible.

Cool stuff as usual, thanks a bunch! One thing I've been trying for a while now to make Revit do is to calculate the area of a room including the area of the door sill as well, the underside. That would be the most correct way to calculate the area of a room and not quite as Revit is doing it, like placing the boundary in front of the door. Would you maybe have some suggestions on how that can be done? I've been adding room separators and very thin walls to create a new boundary, which afterwards I've hidden, but it's just an annoying hastle to do everytime. Hvala!

Isn’t there a way to specify this in the wall-settings for openings? Otherwise, you may be able to automate it with dynamo. I do structural work, so...Revit is comparatively simple for me. ;)
I think it just allows you to target which view it is applied to (as opposed to the standard 3D / standard 3D User) and allows you to specify offsets and sizes. Seems not that useful to me, but apparently it is... I prefer to use dynamo and just custom-script solutions. This is the easiest way to extend Revit.
Love your channel, being using autocad for more then 10 years, thinking about moving to revit, but i have to draw a lot of carpentry plans in details, what program do you use for it? is it possible to manage it all in revit ?

You can use Revit for that...I think there is an LT version of I am not mistaken. There will be a learning curve, and in terms of material takeoffs, you will need to be careful about how you build your content in order to give you flexibility in scheduling. If you are a heavy AutoCAD user, you might also consider rhino for 3d Modeling. It doesn’t give you the same advantages of view creation and scheduling, but it is extremely easy to creat 3d models.
There isn't a baseboard category for schedules, but you can get around this by filtering down a wall schedule to only show the baseboard wall type that you used.

No one is watching Revit tips videos for the entertainment. 50% of these videos arebackground noise. Less distraction, more to the point. There are a lot more interesting topics for chit chat shows format. Keep it simple like in original videos.

For me the advantage is the customizable buffer and you can assign shortcuts to quick section box & grow / shrink. BX offset is very small to my taste
