The point I want to let you know before you see the MMA...There are sometimes people who think something is wrong with the empty space or the line, but the members of BTS did not fill his space and performed due to the expression of respect and love for Suga because of his shoulder surgery. And MAMA is also amazing, so please watch it.

immediately leaving here some OP comment about the water stage _My cousin was a dancer for Black Swan stage at MMA. I heard the stage was slippery with water & members as well as dancers fell a lot. It was very cold & physically challenging, but members led it well and they could finish the shooting well. My cousin was a modern dancer_

In Break the silence J-Hope said that JK was always worrying him on stage because he was always “giving it all until his body breaks”. And JK said, with his usual disarming sincerity “Armys came to the concert to see us like this, maybe it’s the only time of their life they can see us. I don’t have a choice but to give them all” One day you’ll watch a live perf with Army around them, chanting, holding them with their screams. It’s again another show and emotion. And you understand why the boys depressed this year after the tour cancellation.... this is their reason to be BTS... Was nice also to see you speechless in front of blackswan 🥰 we all were.... 💜
Your comment is spot on. I also think back to performances like MAMA 2018, the Mic Drop performance with the added dance breaks. I truly held my breath because they almost killed themselves to pull that off. And seeing them almost crawl off stage and the pain in their face when they finally got seated with the other idols. They truly perform for their lives every single time. Also, this year i was supposed to see them for the first time, and the thought that one day I WILL be with ARMY screaming and in that atmosphere is all that kept me going the last 9 months. There is nothing like that energy between BTS and ARMY.

Jimin's vocal technique is crazy. He uses tonal dynamism and uses different vocal effects depending on the emotion he wants to convey: growling, distortion, vibrato, creaking, airiness, break, ornamentation. You will hear all of it the more you listen to BTS songs. So add to that his very unique voice, the way he sings is very distinctive and you can clearly hear him even if he sings along with many people. And the way he just dances so hard on stage and still sounds like that is amazing.
I love how you noticed their passion when you said you feel like theyre performing for their lives. I think its one of the reason why theyre the biggest musical act. They dont take things for granted and put all their strength and effort to a performance even though they're this big
actually the stage design for the on performance as well as the intro bit with them walking down the stairs was inspired by another one of their music videos, N.O, which was also the inspiration for the title ON bc its no but flipped. I love, love, love Disturb's version of "The Sound of Silence" . If anyone out there gets a chance to watch either the live version on Conan or the Disturb video you will not be wasting your time, both are excellent! Highly Recommend.
What I love about the On perfromance is the enterence and the bacground design witht the white strips in the back all are styles from their N.O music video which they have said before that O.N is the opposite message to N.O. from their earlier years when you look at the video and their lyrics to both songs! their creativity is endless....
I just realized, have you watched their Tiny Desk Concert? Cause if not then you're missing out! I think you'd really appreciate it. They're performing with a live band and it's a little more stripped down. And of course they killed it :)

Jungkook makes it look easy but the strength and balance it takes to execute those lifts in black swan in water. His beautiful high note vocals during the bridge in On always gives me goose bumps! 🔥 they killed this performance!
What you saw at the beginning was a representation of the BTS Universe. So the constellations spelled out each of their names and BTS plus the logo for both BTS and Army (a door close and a door open). Also what you saw at the beginning was a Sun and the Moon and then the dance begins with an eclipse of the moon with the sun in the back. As they are walking down the steps before the "ON" performance the music you hear is to a song earlier in their career called "N.O." it was actually their first MV.

BTS performed every night for a week on Jimmy Fallon about a month ago and I remember when they performed "Idol" being blown away by numerous employments by Jimin of the growl in live performance. Though I may be wrong, I remember thinking wow Jimin has added a new vocal technique to his already well developed arsenal. I can't recall it pre-Covid so I am guessing lockdown has given him time to develop in new ways.
at this point I've this performance at least a dozen times and it was a delight watching your reaction. Your expression sparkled throughout the entire time. Enjoying your perspective.
Yea, that is very accurate. They are performing for their lives. I always get the same feeling.. It is more than just an amazing performance. There is an added value.. A lot of great performers out there but I never get the same feeling with anyone but BTS. 💜✌🏼

When they mess up anything if ever it’s just so stinking endearing bc they are so good at everything always 🥺 one time Hobi slipped on stage at a concert and he moonwalked out of it please that was adorable 😭😂 he mentioned it in some interview. Can’t remember which. I know they are so professional so any slip is soooo endearing to me. Bc I know they are trying so so hard. They give it all for every performance and cut no corners from their energy to stage set up
Lol, no one is ready to see them live for an award show performance. They go all out for those and their stages are incredible. You should see some of the sets they used for the week they dropped a performance a night for Jimmy Fallon. They were gorgeous. It's not something you can see in most of their current live performances, because of the lack of an audience, but BTS feeds off of the energy of the crowd. V/Taehyung said in a recent interview that they knew that ARMY would be watching, so they made an effort to keep their energy high by thinking of ARMY seeing them perform. They did an online concert in October for two nights and it had been arranged for ARMY to actually be there like through a Skype call. They had as 5 to 8 screens with 100 ARMY on each screen and Jimin, in particular, didn't realize that they were live and could actually react to what the boys did in real time. Towards the end of the show, the guys got to see and here ARMY on the screens up close and personal and it made them so happy that it made Jimin cry. The second night, BTS knew that ARMY were really there and that the screams and cheers they heard weren't recorded but live people and the energy of the performances went through the roof. The difference between the energy of the first night and the second night was so different and it really blew me away just how much of a difference it made. Also, you almost got borahae right. The accent is one the first syllable, though, not the second. It's more like BOAR-a-hay. You should have heard several fans say it during the second half of this performance. I really enjoy your reactions and I'm looking forward to seeing more. I noticed that people are already mentioning the 2019 MMA performance but that was nearly 40 minutes long. Before Covid, BTS had a "bad" habit of turning award shows into BTS concerts. All of their old performances are well worth the watch but that one is particularly long. I'm really looking forward to Tuesday now! Borahae!

Loved the reaction and what you had to say about it, especially coming from a person with experience in theater. A lot of ppl don't understand how difficult it is to perform live and I'm glad that you expressed that. I also appreciate that you picked up on the fact that they are singing live while dancing such a complex choreo and how skilled and disciplined that requires them to be . I can't wait to see your reaction to the other performances. I would also recommend the MAMA 2020 performances. I had commented before that if you think you were blown away with their MV's , you really have no idea what your getting into. Let's just say that when it comes to BTS they seem to only do better with every performance, so be prepared.💜👏🏼

Well, now I just have to wait until Tuesday to see the other half Darth Maul. 😂 These performances are live, but filmed by their team, so even if is not doctored they could pick and choose their favorite takes. The lockdown/no audience shows has given us the most beautiful, exciting and touching performances, with the best videography. But still their live-live performances are something otherworldly. Can't wait for you to see some.
Lol your captions are killing me! I knew you were going to be blown away by the production/performance. If you watch the first portion again, (Black Swan instrumental) you’ll notice the back up dancers were wearing masks as well but the ones whose faces were in close proximity with one another were wearing face shields hidden by dangling dark crystals or whatever they were. I just thought this was interesting and shows how they consider everything.
BTS MMA 2020 Performance... is great but you haven't seen MMA 2019 yet... It's epic and is the top of the genre. The reviews in American news outlets were amazing. I think you'll appreciate the ancient mythological references. I do hope you'll do that soon.

They put this kind of energy into every stop on a world tour. Day after day after day. It really is like theater. In fact, they have had issues with going too hard in their concerts, to the point of exhaustion and injury. Saw them in NJ in 2019, after a 16 hour road trip. Totally worth it, especially after the tour got postponed this year.

Suga had surgery on November 3, so he's still recovering. He had been putting it off since last year. I love that they kept a space for him and kept his part in the backtrack. Seeing that drumline without Suga in front was sad, but at the same time sweet that they did not change the choreography. They kept his part open throughout the performance. He cannot be replaced. 💜💜💜💜💜

People have said that BTS perform like they are still rookies every time they step on stage, meaning they treat every performance as though it is their first and one mistake will end everything for them. They are so intense on stage and have been since their debut!

You might want to think again about Jungkook punching you in the face.He has a black belt in tae kwondo and has been boxing for some time now.

I love, love, love Disturb's version of "The Sound of Silence" . If anyone out there gets a chance to watch either the live version on Conan or the Disturb video you will not be wasting your time, both are excellent! Highly Recommend.
What I love about the On perfromance is the enterence and the bacground design witht the white strips in the back all are styles from their N.O music video which they have said before that O.N is the opposite message to N.O. from their earlier years when you look at the video and their lyrics to both songs! their creativity is endless....

Jungkook makes it look easy but the strength and balance it takes to execute those lifts in black swan in water. His beautiful high note vocals during the bridge in On always gives me goose bumps! 🔥 they killed this performance!
What you saw at the beginning was a representation of the BTS Universe. So the constellations spelled out each of their names and BTS plus the logo for both BTS and Army (a door close and a door open). Also what you saw at the beginning was a Sun and the Moon and then the dance begins with an eclipse of the moon with the sun in the back. As they are walking down the steps before the "ON" performance the music you hear is to a song earlier in their career called "N.O." it was actually their first MV.
Now imagine them getting energy from the audience...... its even better. 🤯😳

BTS performed every night for a week on Jimmy Fallon about a month ago and I remember when they performed "Idol" being blown away by numerous employments by Jimin of the growl in live performance. Though I may be wrong, I remember thinking wow Jimin has added a new vocal technique to his already well developed arsenal. I can't recall it pre-Covid so I am guessing lockdown has given him time to develop in new ways.

Yea, that is very accurate. They are performing for their lives. I always get the same feeling.. It is more than just an amazing performance. There is an added value.. A lot of great performers out there but I never get the same feeling with anyone but BTS. 💜✌🏼

When they mess up anything if ever it’s just so stinking endearing bc they are so good at everything always 🥺 one time Hobi slipped on stage at a concert and he moonwalked out of it please that was adorable 😭😂 he mentioned it in some interview. Can’t remember which. I know they are so professional so any slip is soooo endearing to me. Bc I know they are trying so so hard. They give it all for every performance and cut no corners from their energy to stage set up

Lol, no one is ready to see them live for an award show performance. They go all out for those and their stages are incredible. You should see some of the sets they used for the week they dropped a performance a night for Jimmy Fallon. They were gorgeous. It's not something you can see in most of their current live performances, because of the lack of an audience, but BTS feeds off of the energy of the crowd. V/Taehyung said in a recent interview that they knew that ARMY would be watching, so they made an effort to keep their energy high by thinking of ARMY seeing them perform. They did an online concert in October for two nights and it had been arranged for ARMY to actually be there like through a Skype call. They had as 5 to 8 screens with 100 ARMY on each screen and Jimin, in particular, didn't realize that they were live and could actually react to what the boys did in real time. Towards the end of the show, the guys got to see and here ARMY on the screens up close and personal and it made them so happy that it made Jimin cry. The second night, BTS knew that ARMY were really there and that the screams and cheers they heard weren't recorded but live people and the energy of the performances went through the roof. The difference between the energy of the first night and the second night was so different and it really blew me away just how much of a difference it made. Also, you almost got borahae right. The accent is one the first syllable, though, not the second. It's more like BOAR-a-hay. You should have heard several fans say it during the second half of this performance. I really enjoy your reactions and I'm looking forward to seeing more. I noticed that people are already mentioning the 2019 MMA performance but that was nearly 40 minutes long. Before Covid, BTS had a "bad" habit of turning award shows into BTS concerts. All of their old performances are well worth the watch but that one is particularly long. I'm really looking forward to Tuesday now! Borahae!

Loved the reaction and what you had to say about it, especially coming from a person with experience in theater. A lot of ppl don't understand how difficult it is to perform live and I'm glad that you expressed that. I also appreciate that you picked up on the fact that they are singing live while dancing such a complex choreo and how skilled and disciplined that requires them to be . I can't wait to see your reaction to the other performances. I would also recommend the MAMA 2020 performances. I had commented before that if you think you were blown away with their MV's , you really have no idea what your getting into. Let's just say that when it comes to BTS they seem to only do better with every performance, so be prepared.💜👏🏼

These performances are live, but filmed by their team, so even if is not doctored they could pick and choose their favorite takes.
The lockdown/no audience shows has given us the most beautiful, exciting and touching performances, with the best videography. But still their live-live performances are something otherworldly. Can't wait for you to see some.
Lol your captions are killing me! I knew you were going to be blown away by the production/performance. If you watch the first portion again, (Black Swan instrumental) you’ll notice the back up dancers were wearing masks as well but the ones whose faces were in close proximity with one another were wearing face shields hidden by dangling dark crystals or whatever they were. I just thought this was interesting and shows how they consider everything.
BTS MMA 2020 Performance... is great but you haven't seen MMA 2019 yet... It's epic and is the top of the genre. The reviews in American news outlets were amazing. I think you'll appreciate the ancient mythological references. I do hope you'll do that soon.

They put this kind of energy into every stop on a world tour. Day after day after day. It really is like theater. In fact, they have had issues with going too hard in their concerts, to the point of exhaustion and injury. Saw them in NJ in 2019, after a 16 hour road trip. Totally worth it, especially after the tour got postponed this year.

Suga had surgery on November 3, so he's still recovering. He had been putting it off since last year.
I love that they kept a space for him and kept his part in the backtrack. Seeing that drumline without Suga in front was sad, but at the same time sweet that they did not change the choreography. They kept his part open throughout the performance. He cannot be replaced. 💜💜💜💜💜

People have said that BTS perform like they are still rookies every time they step on stage, meaning they treat every performance as though it is their first and one mistake will end everything for them. They are so intense on stage and have been since their debut!
