That 3% on mobile pay for the Altitude reserve actually kinda goes crazy. Especially if you're a city-goer, or just live in a place where most places take mobile pay.
I can see how it looks like that to some people, but I promise you that's not the case. To keep it completely transparent, on UA-cam everything is driven by views. The algorithm does a tremendous job of aggregating data to see how much people are watching certain videos and whether they are enjoying it or not. This leads to certain topics (and certain credit cards) becoming more popular than others based on how viewers naturally behave in large numbers. My theory is that the cards with largest TV advertising budgets and stronger brand recognition become the most popular in peoples' minds, therefore the become the leading topics that audiences want to see on UA-cam. The way I view my job as a UA-camr in this space is to deliver on what people want to watch (based on what my data tells me) while also trying out new topics to spread awareness of what else is out there (with videos like this that cover some awesome cards!). It's not a perfect system, but I'm trying my best to get the most helpful info out there. I also recommend that people don't just use UA-cam as their only source of information - places like Reddit are awesome for finding more individualized data points! As always, I'm open to suggestions as well - but this was a question I was waiting to answer here so thanks for bringing it up 👍
not true at all. obviously daniel has a great point but from the perspective of a consumer i want to bank with the most popular credit cards. id rather have chase, capital one, citi and amex rather than any of these on the list. maybe my desires will change later down the line but i promise you most people agree.
I just got approved for altitude connect with 3 months since last approve 712 and utilization under 20 I'm paying down debt real quickly that was last week I'm now 761 with utilization under 10 I think they saw it
AAA card Excellent for 5% groceries and has no fx fees/no annual. $100 credit for $1000 spent in 90 days. Their other card is 5% on gas. I thought these were great offers for people that dont travel much and spend the most on gas and groceries. Good back up if you're abroad.
There are 11 of those US Bank mobile wallet cards. 11. NO LIMIT on how many You can have, so after 3K in spend, switch to the next. All no fee. All World Elite. All no foreign transaction fees. Four of them (Harris Teeter. Mariano's, Ralphs and Pick 'n Save) have a $100 welcome bonus for $500 spend in 90 days. The others are the Kroger, Smith's, QFC, King Soopers, Fry's, Fred Meyer and Dillons card. Is kind of like overlooking the overlooked card. 🙂 Love Your channel!
I love us bank, you can apply for the same card and get the welcome offer again and again, however that 6-12 month in between card rule is very strict. I have the us bank shopper rewards card x2 and a us bank altitude reserve. And the best part is they waive all the annual fees for active duty military. Also the 8 visits include restaurants unlike some cards *cough chase*
I live in Florida and I just recently got the Kroger card and there are no Kroger stores in FL so you don’t have to be in a state where where stores are located! Just FYI!😉
Harris Teeter used to be here. I think I saw a map that said Lucky something was a Kroger brand here. I don't know where they are, but I do see Kroger vans driving around delivering in NE Florida.
I have the autograph card from wells fargo, i didnt know it was underrated I love it! What are your thoughts on a high yield savings from western alliance bank?(5.27apy) i currently have sofi:)
I always look at your videos and like them a lot but I would like to ask you if you could make a video of which credit app you use as experian, transunion, etc. And another video credits cards where they can check their credit score as an ITIN person. It would be a big help!!!
Would love to see a video of how you and Jackie are merging your finances now that you’re married and if there are any new changes to your 2P strategy!
I love my US bank reserve card i treat it as a cash back i put all my charges there and the costco shopping is just fantastic. Am able to pay everything using apple pay i make enough to cancel the AF the way i see it is am getting paid $325 to use this card the dinning credit is just amazing.
I didn't have any expectation on Fry's card but it was actually quite awesome. I thought it would be just usual store card but I can't be more wrong. Free membership is also big for me, a loyal Fry's shopper. As I use about 300gal of gas per year, just gas discount on it's own will worth about 150$.
Think you were right on the money with your list. A few others I think would fit the bill: Citi Costco Navy fed more rewards I heard of a Firestone credit union card? Long game I would love to do the BOA route but currently don't have enough sitting capital for the preferred rewards
The Autograph card blows all these cards out of the water lol. One travel partner for every flying alliance and points on honestly everything you spend money on with no AF.
@@Daniel_Braun One thing I like about the regular Autograph, you get 3X on those categories whether direct or 3rd party booking sites. No stress of missing out on points.
I literally just spike to someone about the Wells Fargo Autograph Card ans after the scam the recently had, he told me to stay as far away as possible from them.
I was wondering the same! I think it's going to be my first choice since I purchase groceries for my household and will not go over the 6k in one yr, but am worried if there is a better choice
The Apple Card does what the Altitude Reverse does but with 0 annual fee.. so it seems kinda dumb to pay a 300+ Annual fee for another card that gives unlimited 2% instead of 3% with Apple Pay which is accepted in 85% of the world or at least the US alone.
Why would someone need to sign up for the Autograph card? Im sure if you just wait, Wells Fargo will apply for it for you. Unless they are too busy dealing with Ponzi scheme allegations.
Is there a report that states 80% of people overlook these cards? Or is that just a lame UA-cam clickbait title. Would love to see a video on your thought process for these video titles soon. Thanks.

5% on Kroger card goes harder
These cards are overlooked because credit card UA-camrs get less referral bonuses for hawking them

hope you enjoy Korea~
With US bank keep utilization under 10% ,700 fico and 6 mths from last card for your best chance.

@@Daniel_Braun Another good way and what I have heard some people have done is product change from the GO after a year...it's an auto accept.
Can you do a video on how to stay organized and keep track of which cards to use where when you have multiple credit cards across multiple brands?
I love my USB AR! I think you forgot to mention that it's Priority Pass allows restaurant access.
Nice topic, Daniel. You don’t see this covered much, particularly the part why you share your views on why the cards are overlooked. Nice job!

Wells Fargo Autograph is genuinely such a good card. It’s my gas/electric car card, and I use it for my phone plans as well.
PNC bank cash unlimited credit card no foreign transaction fee. 2% percent cash back
Might as well go with a 2% percent card.
Until they add serious transfer partner. I will use my 2 percent card instead of the Autograph card.
The 8 US Reserve priority pass lounge visits also include restaurants, which is getting rare.
Good point, I forgot about that! I feel like that’ll probably go away soon though since other cards have removed that feature
@Daniel_Braun I was contemplating the card for that reason, but at some point simplicity >> optimization.
Good choices Dan. They don't get enough exposure no doubt.
that us bank altitude go card is incredible

Finally talking about the US BANK RESERVE. Card is literally a life hack. One of the best in the game.
Thanks for the comparison ... Very useful
Hey Dan, I heard the altitude go is supposed to be reworked in the near future.
That'll be interesting to see! I'll make an updated video if they do anything to greatly affect that card - thanks for letting me know 👍

AAA gives 3% back on Costco and gas, so good!
USB AR EAF is actually closer to 60 than 75 because unless it's been changed you earn the 4.5% on the 325 dining credit which works out to about $15.

For Kroger, is it 3k for both mobile wallet and Kroger Pay, or does each category get 3k or 6k in total?
I believe $3,000 in total for those 2 things combined
Each category gets a $3k cap.

no. I have one and have added a user...now it does not give you the priority passes for the second user though.
kinda crazy i haven’t heard of most of these cards

bank of america cash rewards especially if you are a platinum member. 3% if you're not, but 5.25% if you are
