The song, Unforgettable Day was written and composed by Dimash and his dad back when he was 15 years old, probably about a first or new love event. It is another signature song of his. When he hit that high D8, after missing the D7, he made it unforgettable for all of us.
Thanks Ryan! This song is a fan favorite and there are different versions. I like this one because you hear the trumpets so beautifully. Please next Olimpico, an Italian song and another epic performance by beautiful Dimash 💙💙
I also love the trumpet break in the middle of this one which is why I actually like this version best. The instrumental breaks in the other versions don't highlight the trumpets at all.
This is a tender but melancholy song about finding his true love, but ultimately losing her to another. He sings about the day they first met, and how blessed he would be to have her in his life forever. The more urgent part is him asking how he possibly could give her up to another. The song is a fan favorite. Dears have learned the Kazakh lyrics and he leads them to sing parts of it in concert. It has become like a love letter between Dimash and his Dears, and it's always a highlight of every show. I don't think anything was off in this performance. He was simply feeling the tender but sad meaning, and connecting with his Dears. ❤❤

Also the dog whistle note... he didn't mean to hit it, his voice just jumped to it by mistake, he actually wanted to hit I think half a octave lower somewhere around that. THANKS for your reactions to Dimash!!!!……. Unforgettable Day, this song is composed by Dimash. This performance was on Gakku Is Kazajistán at 2017 with 150,000 dears. The most highest note in the World, D8 (4800 hz) vibrato ( dolphin note) by 5 seconds. He’s subsequently said, “this D8 wasn’t planed! “ Is an amazing performance. Greetings from a Mexican Dear! ❤️🇲🇽❤️🇰🇿
@8:48, it's actually higher than a D8! Ppl say that bec that's what a voice coach said way back then... however it's not really known because it hasn't been done before.. but it's very close (through the video) to 5000hz!! And would probably be more like an E8 or even an F8?! 😉💯 We call those whistles he does his dolphin 🐬 range❤️
That concert was outdoors, a Gakku event like a fate of 140,000 people, and I think he had come home from China just for it. So, perhaps both time and effort and maybe, no practise run or perfect setup might have played a part. But that version of that song is the most spectacular to me. I believe Dimash and his dad wrote and produced Unforgettable Day when he was just 16, about a first love and date. He performs it quite a lot.

But also you can see in the piano Igor Krutoy which it was the one that wrote the "Stranger" song and helped Dimash to create that impecable performance. I really would like to see your reaction. All DEARS please like this comment so maybe he can read it and make a video with this reaction lol. Comment here below if you want a "Stranger" reaction.
PLEASE react to Stranger from Dimash you're going to get blown away! Especially since you talked about sub harmonics, he didn't do that but he used a beautiful low note which sounds similar
Thank you for your honest reaction. I agree to an extent that Dimash may have been experiencing some issues that made the performance more difficult for him than normally. He still delivered an amazing performance by anyone else's standards. The D8...received 100% paws up from all support pups in attendance. Thanks again. MARK
DImash never, ever does anything without being invested 1000% into it. He wrote this song when he was younger (it's been translated to Mandarin as well and performed by Terry Lin). This is how the song is performed (you should look at other versions). Always exceptional!
He is singing at a concert he gave in his native country. I think he was also sick with the flu going into this concert. He didn’t want to cancel to disappoint his Dears(it’s what he calls his fans).
I did hear that he wasn't feeling on top form for this performance and was getting shots in his throat beforehand so that he could sing. That's why he was underpowered. He was going for a G7, it didn't come out so he tried again and actually made it to a D8. He aimed for something but it didn't come out exactly how he wanted it. Nobody's complaining though!!
This is the second song in the set and the one before involved loads of dancing, so I think he was a little winded. But based on the fact that he just did a 4 hour concert a week ago (okay, so it wasn't all him), I'd say he has good stamina.
I attended his live concert in New York in 2019. He performed many songs. I would not think he could give 100% to every song. Yet he makes each song special.
Even with the famous D 8 with this performance I like the digital concert version better, I like the soulful / jazz I there. I notice this mic movement when he started gaining popularity internationally I heard it’s because so people know that he is singing live, yes he’s that good that it’s hard to believe sometimes, I’m also skeptical in the beginning. When you get used to Dimash performance he usually takes the ear monitor when he is about to blow off. But there are times also especially in a very loud crowd that he keeps it for example in Olimpico performance
The bit with his microphone. Microphone. 🎤 to show he's really singing I a second. After the D8. Some one whistled backed same note. He did look a bit tired

Thank you for reacting to Dimash! This is one of my favorites- I think you really ‘missed the boat.’ Perhaps if you enable the subtitles and restrain from pausing so frequently, you will experience a greater understanding of this song. Knowing the backstory will enrich your experience. Unfortunately, your example of a blind man was insensitive. But it reminds me of the 7 blind men and the elephant. Asked to describe what each man felt, each had a different reaction. One man said the elephant was as sturdy as a tree truck, another said as smooth as marble, another as skinny as a stick, and so on. Each perceived a part of the whole, and missed the totality. I do think that you have some idea of the unique genius of Dimash- I hope you continue to react to him. King Dimash! 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️
I love your story of the blind men and the elephant, it's one worth remembering. When it comes to this song and performance, I think we Dears have all heard it, and all of the different versions of it, so many times that we do, of course, know what it's all about and we have been relating to it emotionally for years. But in all honestly, I can say I was probably clueless the first time around myself and probably saw it as the simple song that it is, just as Ryan did.
@@lovesyoutube8591 Perhaps there are not subtitles in English available for this particular performance- that does not prevent the informed from searching for performances that offer subtitles;)
Hi, great reaction agaín! I appreciate you are honest (and still respect the Singer). Although you just met Dimash and have to react to A Hugh list of songs of his, van you please please react to his just released song and mv “The story of one sky”? Its A real masterpiece! It rook Dimash three years to create, compose it (the song and story) and its A short movie (12 minutes). And what I heard, the moet expensive mv ever (7 miljoen us dollars!) For me this song shows what A genius Dimash is and with 28 so involved in the difficult problems the world is now. Dimash promotes peace and tollerance always. I went to his concert in Düsseldorf in april this year and his speech about this subject… we all could feel his emotions and anger about it. Please, watch it!
Most of Dimash's best songs are when he's been part of a competition with one song a night or as part of a concert with multiple singers where he only has 1-4 songs. This was part of a full concert, and I can tell that his full concerts really wear him out. It's impossible for him to give 100% throughout a long concert. Nor could anyone else who puts that much into his music.
Great reaction and analysis. Dimash wrote "Unforgettable Day" himself when he was still a teenager and he is singing in his native tongue. This was at the annual Gakku TV open-air concert, with approximately 150,000 fans in attendance. Gakku TV is the first music channel in Kazakhstan that exclusively airs content produced in Kazakhstan, promoting Kazakh music, culture, and patriotism. During this 2017 live performance, Dimash made sure to erase any doubt that this was anything other than a true live performance by moving his mic quickly from side to side as he sang. Dimash set a record for the highest note ever sung in a live concert when he produced his now-famous D8. He not only hit a D8 but also did a glissando and held it for several seconds, even adding vibrato to it. It was a spontaneous attempt because he missed the slightly lower note he had initially aimed for immediately prior when he was shaking the mic from side to side. Although, there are still the occasional trolls who claim that the note was pre-recorded or that it was an electronic glitch. Dimash is truly on another level. His voice seems limitless, and no matter how many performances of his you watch, he will always surprise you with something new. The Guinness Book of Records lists the highest vocal note ever produced by a male as an F8 (F#8, 5989 Hz), achieved by Amirhossein Molaei (Iran) in Tehran, Iran, on 31 July 2019. That was done in a studio, where the singer was just trying to hit the note and had been working on his whistle register for years to prepare for this attempt. He held the note briefly after a proper warm-up and several attempts. Here are the lyrics: I fell in love with you at first sight And with your playful honey-sweet words I was fascinated by your charming ways I couldn't stop looking at your shining face
Oh, dearest That unforgettable day Oh, dearest That unforgettable day
You are my long-awaited dream You are the light of my life I want to hold you in my arms You are my life's purpose, my everything

He composed this song when he was 16. Not a very deep meaning so he is more relaxed. But he sometimes shows his D8 in this song.. sounds like a dolpin or dog fluit. Very impressive!
It was from his 2007 gakku concert i think? At that time after several flight for tours and hours of traveling's jet lag he wasn't feeling very well, you could sense it from him he reserved and held back more than he usually was and, and at that d8 right before that he lost his voice and try to compensate it with that soaring sky note. There's a theory amongst the vocal coach that he did actually hit higher than d8 right at that silence, but human's ear couldnt actually catch that then he lowered it to d8 lol Oh, and that mic swinging of his actually kinda to proof that he never lip syncing, because he's always hit it perfect on high note even when he's kneeling or crossing his arms on his chest which a singer "should never" do when singing, his larynx always so relax and the "adam's apple" movement is to smooth, his performances overall too "healthy" for an opera singer.
Amazing singer A2 D8 range in LIVE performance ❤

The song, Unforgettable Day was written and composed by Dimash and his dad back when he was 15 years old, probably about a first or new love event. It is another signature song of his.
When he hit that high D8, after missing the D7, he made it unforgettable for all of us.
Hey. You’re honest reactions to DIMASH are super cool and i love it! Please react to Olympico by him.
Moving the mic means there's no effects being or a backing track used to create the sound - proving he's singing live. Vitas does it too.
@@gdouglas999 Yes, I agree fellow Dear. Love those trumpets!
@@lied1484 When the trumpets aren't there, it's like losing the flute in the break in "Hello."
@@gdouglas999 Haha, so true!
During this performance he was sick and not feeling well but chose to perform anyway. He hit D8 but he can go up to his highest whistle note G#7
@ Monica .....totally agree!
It was very interesting to watch you and hear the comments of a professional! Please watch the video "Be with me" as well as "Stranger"! It makes an impression!!!!

🤗🇹🇷🇺🇸👍👐
The mic thingy was just to demonstrate that he was not on autotune or some other software like that since they often don't handle that scenario in the best way. Also the dog whistle note... he didn't mean to hit it, his voice just jumped to it by mistake, he actually wanted to hit I think half a octave lower somewhere around that. Never the less once it came out, he went for it and added vibrato/tremolo to it just because otherwhise it ain't flex enaugh
Great reaction & yes you have to be honest. Once you know he was ill I think you'll agree that was amazing when unwell. Thanks for your reaction 😊👍
@ Christina Braun....your source that Dimash was ill? Hadn't ever heard that was the case!
@@lindahake1666 on one of the videos of this concert.
Primero porque Dimash nació para cantar y segundo es un ser honesto, disciplinado y ama cantar y ama a sus dears y no es comercial es un ser correcto e iluminado ❤
@7:34, He started doing that technique with the mic to show the people that were saying that he was lip syncing that he is actually singing it ALL live! 😜
Nice reaction - thanks! Plenty of crescendos and decrescendos in Ikanaide 😉! A simply beautiful performance and song!
Its a very emotional song for him!
I read online that he was told by his doctor not to perform because he was under treatment for neck issues.
I think he does that with the mic to prove he's actually singing. I'm guessing many don't believe it's him.
THAT IS THE 8TH WONDER RIGHT THERE..🥰
👉Unforgettable Day

Please see Dimash's "the story of one sky"... He wrote it, stars in it, sings in it and most of all you will get a glimpse of his soul. It is a true masterpiece. A very advance spirit. We are lucky to experience this otherworldly soul.
His voice is piercing the sky and reaching throughout the universe...speechless. He is from another planet and not from our planet.
Is an amazing performance. Greetings from a Mexican Dear! ❤️🇲🇽❤️🇰🇿
He plays with the mic at that moment bc many criticize that he can’t sing live,so he does it to prove he is singing live& it is all him!
He wrote this at 19 and now he's 28 so hopefully he has grown over the years :)
Yes i have a request i want to hear you sing, for real i want to see you sing.
I can definitely make that happen haha!
Greatest voice ever ❤
@8:48, it's actually higher than a D8! Ppl say that bec that's what a voice coach said way back then... however it's not really known because it hasn't been done before.. but it's very close (through the video) to 5000hz!! And would probably be more like an E8 or even an F8?! 😉💯
We call those whistles he does his dolphin 🐬 range❤️
My favorite performance of this song is from the 2021 Digital Show. Worth checking out. 🙂
He is doing the mic shake to show that he's singing live
One of my favorite Dimash performances.
Estamos assistindo ao melhor entre os melhores, simplesmente incrível, saudações do BRASIL 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷💖
The crowd whistling using their mouth, but Dimash whistling using his throath lol
BRO!!! PLEASE REACT TO "STRANGER" from Dimash. I don't know if you saw that performance already but that performance he did 10 out 10 in everything (maybe 12 out of 10). Singing with a great variety of voices, Incredible low voices, impecable techniques, Communicating Emotions, New Instruments, Great customs he and his dancers, really nice decorated stage.
Gracias por reaccionar al gran príncipe Kazajo Dimash
Yes, he was sick during this performance.
MARK
I love him.
More Dimash please 😀❤️❤️❤️
DImash never, ever does anything without being invested 1000% into it. He wrote this song when he was younger (it's been translated to Mandarin as well and performed by Terry Lin). This is how the song is performed (you should look at other versions). Always exceptional!
😇🌍🌎🌏❤❤❤Dimash is a gift from God to us all 🙏! Hello from Romania!❤❤❤
It was said he does the mic thing because he was accused of lip syncing and he DOES NOT EVER,!
If I remember correctly, he was actually under the weather when he gave this performance.
Very observant, Ryan. He was sick that day.
@ doityourownway.....your source for this comment? Have never heard this mentioned before.

That is and was the highest note ever recorded live ~!
Yes!!!! D8 only dimash
The bit with his microphone. Microphone. 🎤 to show he's really singing I a second. After the D8. Some one whistled backed same note. He did look a bit tired
I don’t recall ever seeing his neck veins strain before. So maybe he wasn’t feeling 100%.
Olympico (ogni pietra) is a great next one. A lot of low and high

Спасибо за реакцию!
И отдельная благодарность за то, что вы один из тех немногих реакционеров, которые делают картинку в кадре с Димашем больше, чем себя. Димаша надо обязательно видеть на большом картинке, а не только слушать в маленьком окне.
But in all honestly, I can say I was probably clueless the first time around myself and probably saw it as the simple song that it is, just as Ryan did.
there are no subtitles for this performance ; nothing he could have done about that :)
@@lovesyoutube8591 Perhaps there are not subtitles in English available for this particular performance- that does not prevent the informed from searching for performances that offer subtitles;)
@@RR-LMSL18 Well, fans probably insisted that he analyses this performance, for him to hear the D8. It`s not the end of the world :)
@ RR...agree!! 🎯💯
BEAUTIFUL DIMASH !!! ...

CB Dutchy.....he doesn't know enough about Dimash yet to fully appreciate the power of The story of One Sky.
How is it possible to whistle so high I will never get it .
Here are the lyrics:
I fell in love with you at first sight
And with your playful honey-sweet words
I was fascinated by your charming ways
I couldn't stop looking at your shining face
Oh, dearest That unforgettable day
Oh, dearest That unforgettable day
You are my long-awaited dream
You are the light of my life
I want to hold you in my arms
You are my life's purpose, my everything
The heart wants what it wants
The fire in me is still ablaze
I'd be the happiest in this world
If destiny brought you to me
Oh, dearest That unforgettable day
Oh, dearest That unforgettable day
You are my long-awaited dream
You are the light of my life
I want to hold you in my arms
You are my life's purpose, my everything

He composed this song when he was 16. Not a very deep meaning so he is more relaxed. But he sometimes shows his D8 in this song.. sounds like a dolpin or dog fluit. Very impressive!
For this performance, Dimash was sick. Great reaction!
@ Sofia B.....your source for this comment?
Dimash Обожаю! Люблю! Super!!!
Спасибо за реакцию.Посмотрите новый, официальный клип "История одного неба".будет очень тревожно и эмоционально.500 %.Димаш сценарист и композитор.
There's a theory amongst the vocal coach that he did actually hit higher than d8 right at that silence, but human's ear couldnt actually catch that then he lowered it to d8 lol
Oh, and that mic swinging of his actually kinda to proof that he never lip syncing, because he's always hit it perfect on high note even when he's kneeling or crossing his arms on his chest which a singer "should never" do when singing, his larynx always so relax and the "adam's apple" movement is to smooth, his performances overall too "healthy" for an opera singer.
