    With the education you gave, we have no reason for not exploring the high potential of plantain in feeding ourselves instead of relying on imported foods. Keep it up.

    Your amazing. Thanks for all these educative videos. Please can i process elephant foot yam as elubo using the same procedure as yam

    • @Globalfoodbook1
      @Globalfoodbook1  3 роки тому

      To prevent oral toxicity/itchiness as a result of the elephant foot yam, I recommend you first soak them in tamarind water before completing the rest of the poundo yam method. I hope this helps.
      I will make a video of this whenever I find the elephant foot yam.
      Thanks for all your kind words.

    Is it safe to add in my Smoothie along with my other protein powders(whey)????
    I'm curious due to the fact that it wasn't cooked & i would like to incorporate it in my smoothie.

    • @Globalfoodbook1
      @Globalfoodbook1  4 роки тому +2

      Hello Smith,
      there is no harm in adding it in smoothie but I won’t recommend that. This is simply because the taste of the unripe Plantains might alter the taste of your smoothie.
      However, using ripe plantain might be a better option.

    • @Globalfoodbook1
      @Globalfoodbook1  4 роки тому

      Oh dear, I can't say precisely. But you can start off with 10 plantains at a time and measure how much they yield. Cheers

    Nice vid. I don't know if it will impact the outcome of the flour but I found that soaking the slitted unripe plantain in hot water for a few, say 2 minutes, makes the peel come off easily.
