I also got a 2022 1LT Elkhart Lake Blue. With no Z51 or mag ride or front lift just like you. In addition for the low profile spoiler and performance exhaust. I like that you get the front end splitter with the low profile spoiler. It is so much fun to drive. You are right that you don’t need to spend all that money and you still have a great ride. That is relative because with tax and license my C8 cost $83K which is not cheap. I look forward to your future content on the 1LT. ✌🏾🙏🏽

Hi, I appreciate your review, especially your thoughts on the mag ride, which I agree on. I’m also wondering how much I’d use the front lift. I’m looking forward to your thoughts on the lift, especially with the costs rising up to $2600 from $1500. I’m hoping to order a C8 HTC next year and I’m planning on ordering with the minimum options but picking those that I really need plus a couple for the looks.

Help you out here Clarence, contact eRiggin in Louisiana. Get a cut proof blue chain and a cut proof lock. I use this on my F-150 and trailer when I travel. I run the chain over my spring shackle and thru my rim. If they move my truck quarter rotation the entire ass end is coming out. It will take a torch to cut the blue chain. Cheap investment Clarence, sorry for your loss.

You absolutely will love the hard top convertible. Like I said before, you get a two for one in a automobile. I have the top up, a/C blasting on those extremely hot days & the top down on the breezy days. Either way, the C8 demands attention.
Beautiful car! I saw the video when you picked it up. I'm surprised to learn that you went from a 2LT to a 1LT...kudos to you for that. I bought my first Corvette (a 2019 GS) in January....love the car, the only regret is that it's a 1LT. Sorry about the trailer theft....smh.

For me the 2LT, magride, front lift are all needed. Especially the Z51 for track days & autocross.
I plan on getting Z51 or Z06 base (cant afford 2LZ Z07)
Love your stuff but strongly disagree about mag ride, when you change from tour to sport to track the suspension gets stiffer or softer depending on what setting you are in. With regular ride you cannot change the ride it is always the same. Also mag ride takes bumps better, have had both and will never go without mag ride again, the difference is huge. If all you want if a smooth ride the regular suspension will work

Being a 2LT coupe owner, the loss of blind spot detection, front cameras and rear view digital camera (coupe) in a 1LT would make me nervous, as its super hard to see out of this car, especially the back/blind spots. Good luck man, stay safe.

@@cgarnerspeed252 I have a 21 HTC 3lt Z51 with front lift. so very familiar with the HTC it is the only way for me as like the look of the HTC. Have a very low number on a Z06 will be pretty much the same spec as my stingray.
Clearance make a link to Brink of Speed video on proper mirror alignment. I teach kids to drive, the new way is a much improvement. Or Clearance make your own. My I suggest. Look at Chevy Dud 2020 car salesman on every option setting up you c8. Both are dated and you could help new owners. How close are u to your trailer replacement. I contribute months ago.
The 1LT C8 actually has 10 speakers. It was the C7 1LT that had 9.

My brother was at Las Vegas two years ago and his got stolen, Well he got a phone call from the California highway patrol that they found his trailer and to come and pick it up.... The only good thing about it was that it had new tires and now chrome fenders, they were black before...

Sorry that happened to you,with them stealing your trailer,But stay positive,we all know that YOU will be just fine!!! You have a C7 and had a C8 coupe,and now you just purchased a new C8 convertible. So obviously, YOU are successful,and NOT Broke. So a $4,000 trailer is not that big of a purchase and you should be able to replace that on your own. But the Go-Fund-Me will take care of that easily, right 👍🏿

Yes, you said it in the video, you can definitely buy a C8 on a budget. It's common sense that you did what alot of people do with convertibles.... To offset the extra, extra money that a convertible version costs, you obviously did not get the other options and trim levels you had in the coupe. It's simple. For example, going with the 1LT trim, leaving off the lift,Z51,magna ride, exhaust,etc. It's ok to say that,for real. We appreciate that much more. Love your C8 brother it's awesome, regardless of what equipment is on it. Smart way to offset the additional cost of hardtop convertible

I would say you do not need the Z51 because it’s really used for the track.
Hey Clarence, did you add the front splitter? I know that a splitter only comes with the Z51 package. Also, are you still getting the ZO6?
You can add a front splitter as an option even on the 1LT when you build your car.

Hi, i just noticed that you can get the red stitching with 1 LT. Some folks had to upgrade to 3LT to get the red stitching plus $500. I ordered my BLK/BLK 2024 2LT Z51 HTC today with ETA for delivery in Feb 2024.

Do you miss the heads up display. That is the one thing I am debating between 1lt and 2lt. I have it now on my GS.
The HUD is a must. In fact I believe it should be a standard feature in all cars.
That front lift is to me the most nessescary option.And if you don't need it to get in you're driveway you will someday.Unless you don't have a splitter @ all.
@@richardmorris7063 I need it for my driveway. I have a C6 that scrapes every time I pull it into the garage. I’ve geo tagged no less then 250 spots that I use the auto raise feature on the lift. Agreed, money well spent.
@@metfish most driveways, there's usually a little curb then a driveway that's usually @ a grade to let water run off.Id have to have that cause I want a carbon splitter..

The 1LT HTC is a pure sports car. They throw in a rear view camera to see threw the mail slot rear window with the top up. The engineers got it right and you really don’t need all that crap, (Z51) the 1LT HTC is the fastest and lightest HTC Chevy makes.
Ok CG, I've been waiting for this vid. I see that you cut out alot of the options so that it's more affordable. Considering the convertible is a almost 7k option. I immediately priced this trim. I'll wait for you to make a vid on this. It's amazing to me that you said that you felt that the features you cut were not needed. Basically you could live without them. Had you not cut those features this car would have been far more expensive. Alright, I can't wait for the next vid. Sometime ago, I mentioned to you that I thought it would a great idea to have a ferrari 458 on your show in your collection. Now the farrari 458 would be worth the C7 trade. Since I mentioned this to you, the values on the ferrari 458 has risen quite a bit. Let me know what you think about having a ferrari 458 and would you trade in your C7 for it.
Hey brother, thanks for the comment. Well, in my personal opinion I think the extra options is truly a personal preference. For instance I had no choice but to get them on my 2020 C8 because Chevrolet was only building z51 and higher options cars and this time I wanted to build a car that made sense and I wanted to be able to show my audience that you can still build a non option corvette and still enjoy it. In regard to the 458 it would be nice. But I wonder what the audience for that car is like.
@@cgarnerspeed252 Your vids on the 1 Lt will be interesting. As for the 458. There are a few channels that show cased the mods. But, I understand your point. The C8 is very popular. Chevy can't make them fast enough. Personally I think chevy should spin corvette into its own separate brand. The corvette is now truly a premium vehicle. Future iterations are going to increase in price.
