I hope I can find a 1/1 like that one day. I would be in heaven. My favorite car ever. you did a Camaro dirty. It looks awesome. Great video. Great skills I always take away something from your channel and videos. So if you can't find I have it. Thanks for a great build. 👏👏👏
Greetings. A request to show more of the box and certainly when there is multiple options. I enjoy your videos and you create what you want as we ALL should and appreciate our creative outlet... or do I dare say childhood.
I ABSOTIVELY POSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT LOVE THIS BARN-FIND Version Of Yours Chris ‼️‼️‼️ Thanks AGAIN For Sharing Your Skills and Love Of This Hobby. God Bless You and All Yours 👍👍, Gary.
Sure enough sir..!! Always respectful and appreciative of your methods, results and vid content.!! Sorry but don't look to me for one of those negative comments....
A nice touch could have been the hood hinges and springs from another kit and thr hood propped against a fender. And a scratchbuilt bird's nest where the carb used to be?
Beautiful build! I have learned so many cool techniques off of your channel throughout the years and continue to learn more😊😊you are a true artist Chris! Thank you!
Another great build. HOWEVER, it did get a little "exhausting" at the end (insert Dad joke response here). So. how old am I? I was 23 in '69 and Uncle Sam still 'owned me" but this was one of the dream cars that kept me going - until I traded Army greens for good old Blue Jeans. Thanks again, Chris, for you unique and clever "takes" on each model you build.
Always a pleasure watching your videos great to learn new tips and tricks Chris...a true modeller thanks for taking the time to explain things and how it can be done
It's not an hpiguys model build without Chris hand painting the transmission silver. How many little bottles of testors silver do you go through in a year? Lol
excellent timing … I have been waiting to see what is in the box. Thanks for making this and all your other videos Chris - your channel is appreciated.
As a fellow model builder I have built this model umpteen different time the exhaust system is totally incorrect for this issue of the model chambered exhaust only issued for the 69 Z28 only a small block the hedders we're only available with the small block Z28 Factory 396 hadd cast iron manifold and non chambered exhaust this can be straightened out finally we get a correct Hood thank you Chris for doing your work I'm sure Revell will sell plenty at least they're trying to update unlike some other manufacturers celis new decal sheets and pad printing tires y'all know who I'm speaking about buyer beware
I dig that beater look for a Camaro. I drive a Dodge. All kidding aside that SS hood is a great addition. Now with the other Revel versions and a bit of kitbashing we can build just about every version/ option '69 Camaro a feller could actually buy. Cool. Would be nice to see some new blue oval , Mopar and AMC kits. If I am going to dream I am dreaming big
You know Chris, always love your videos! No matter what the build is, it's always entertaining to watch you build these kits. You always manage to keep it fun, "even though the haters try to spoil it!" Ah what are you gonna do right? Stay pleasant dude, keep on building & making these REALLY cool videos!
been watching your videos for a long time I enjoy every one of them this one really got me laughing don’t you just love the negative Nancy’s !! Looks awesome keep up with all your great work and videos
If i may ask, why have you not built many car kits from hasegawa or tamiya? They are much better in terms of detail compared to these omder amt and monogram kits.
Hey Chris, The Camaro looks great, nice weathering. Really liked the fiddle music today. What color of green was the Short Cuts? I have been using these spray cans when I can find them, they work well. thanks!
Did you find a tiny hint of a seam running the full length of the body along the top rib of the front and rear quarter panels? I did the Revell Challenger and initially thought the body seamless until I hit it with primer.
Great weathering techniques Chris. Although the 69 Camaro is one of my favorite cars and seeing it all beat up like that nearly brought a tear to my eye....:( Build on!!
I like to watch the actual build sequence at 2x speed. It makes the music a little goofy, but I slow down to normal speed when you talk. Great video, as always.
Man, that looks just terrible ! Great job ! 😉 I remember building a couple of these Camaros back around 1990 or so, and they were excellent kits then as they still are now. That new hood adds another whole dimension to the car too. Thanks for another interesting review, Chris.
Great build. Love your stuff. You can still find the vintage molds of this kit on the auction sites and swap meets. I picked one up last year for about 25 bucks with shipping. Probably one of my favorite builds.
I wanted to let you know I love your model car builds on your channel. And I wanted to let you that I purchased tamiya 1:16 scale porsche 935 racecar with suspension and ignition wiring opening doors hood engine cover and door steerable front wheels. I also wanted to say you a great on the Camaro SS 396 model build. Now if only if you could the real thing parked out front in your driveway right.
These Revell 69 Camaros have always been the gold standard for Camaro lovers but I wish they would have included the standard dual exhaust instead of the Yenko chambered exhaust which has never been offered on these Revell kits since day one.
LMAO Model Whiners. I love your videos you do awesome builds. I get ideas from your videos which helps me out. I'm getting back into model building. when I was doing it I was about 14 years old
Thank you for sharing your weathering technics. I was scratching my head with that crackle tech, but it all came together and looked great! Wondering where you find that oil slick stuff?
Very nice weathering. You do a great job with the weathering, and have a lot of paints for weathering in your arsenal, but you should take a look at the AK Interactive washes and pigments. I’ve been using those with great results. This looks like another great well engineered Revell kit. Thanks for sharing.
EXACTLY what I expected them doing, aka use parts from their many versions of that kit and then add the new hood and vents. Which is actually a good thing. This kit many variations are actually one of my fav kit (since they're all the same kit with certain differences). I though they would've also have added a "normal" exhaust pipe set, 'cuz from what I've read the exaust they use were something GM tried but they weren't that good, so they recalled all the cars with them to put on a "normal" exhaust system. But that's still fine, just thought they'd take the time to do this as well since they took the time to make a new hood. Again, really nice build. I'm not into damaged vehicles at all, but the more I see builders like you build such cars, the more I'm thinking of doing one myself one day.
A set of stock exhaust manifolds would've been nice too. Also a set of tires that fit the larger rallye wheels. The exhaust from the revell '69 Nova will fit nicely att the back. In the front it needs to be trimmed to fit the manifolds. Stock manifolds can also be found in the Revell '69 Yenko or COPO Nova kits.
Nice build, and its sad how a hobby thats supposed to be for enjoyment, fun etc is now over run with anal retentive's who need a model to be super detailed, lighted and shaded ,100 percent accurate and if it is not they bitch and complain .
Yeah, if they enjoy being that precise that's cool, but when they insist everyone else build their way and cut down those who choose to enjoy their hobby their own way is when it scares people out of the hobby for good.
Great job Chris as always .excellent job on the 69 Cameron 396 ss.
I really appreciate your review videos , Chris. They are helping me get through this recovery process from surgery. 🍿🍿🍿
Great barn find love the way you did it 🐎Mr. ED says Just Have Fun Modeling
I have this kit sitting half sarted in a box. this barnfind idea will work well with it. Thanks for the great inspiration Chris.
very cool, do it your way !
I hope I can find a 1/1 like that one day. I would be in heaven. My favorite car ever. you did a Camaro dirty. It looks awesome. Great video. Great skills I always take away something from your channel and videos. So if you can't find I have it. Thanks for a great build. 👏👏👏
That is so cool, nicely done.
great build!!
Sweet I like it the rs/ss grill is my all time favorite
Another cool preview and description of this Revell kit!!
Nice build too! Glue on!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Cool build like the barn finds
Excellent job
fantastic work Chris!
Greetings. A request to show more of the box and certainly when there is multiple options. I enjoy your videos and you create what you want as we ALL should and appreciate our creative outlet... or do I dare say childhood.
What a great barn find.
Cool idea!!
If Revell reads these comments, we definitely need a Grumpy Jenkins version of this car!!!
The MPC version of his Vega just had performance parts added to the stock kit. The wheelie bars glued to the gas tank just looked ridiculous.
Awesome job Chris.
I always like the stories of your builds
My kind of ride, crusty and rusty! Mighty cool Chris! Rock on 🤘 bud!
Remember when 1990 was only 10 years ago ? 😂. I’m 45 so I know how you feel Chris. Great job!
Yet another awesome job Chris stay safe and positive
Ya just gotta love that grunge ;)
Great mate👍
Great build Chris.Loved the weathering
Superb job in weathering as always! Thank you!
I ABSOTIVELY POSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT LOVE THIS BARN-FIND Version Of Yours Chris ‼️‼️‼️ Thanks AGAIN For Sharing Your Skills and Love Of This Hobby. God Bless You and All Yours 👍👍, Gary.
awesome build
I like a good barn find , very cool what you did to your model 👍🇦🇺
Thanks for sharing
Another fantastic build
Nice video sir! Car looks wonderful! Probably wind up getting one.
YAY another weathered Camaro. I loved the yellow Camaro and have been waiting for you to build another one and weather it
Once again, Chris great build and video, thanks for posting !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love it barn finds are awesome great job!
I love the 69 Camaros always loved the front of the cars great build keep up the good work
Oh yea, the 69 Camaro is nice!!!!
Great job on the weathering again. Nice build, thanks. Your back story always adds so much to the build.
Thanks 👍
Sure enough sir..!! Always respectful and appreciative of your methods, results and vid content.!! Sorry but don't look to me for one of those negative comments....
You do a great job of weathering Chris so I take it this is the version of a Wisconsin barn find 👍
A nice touch could have been the hood hinges and springs from another kit and thr hood propped against a fender. And a scratchbuilt bird's nest where the carb used to be?
Who cares what people say. You are an awsom builder
Beautiful build! I have learned so many cool techniques off of your channel throughout the years and continue to learn more😊😊you are a true artist Chris! Thank you!
Love it
It looks like a car i would drive.
Nice work as always Chris!
I really like the color you went with!
Weathering looks very natural. Nice work man!
Incredible job, this makes me want to get back into model building!
69 Camaro was my first hot rod. Still the toughest car ever!!
Nice work, never did one like this. Got a pile of unopened 1/25s and I think that would be an option. A Junkyard Camaro among the showcars :-)
Ist ja recht schön geworden!😉
When you’re so good at making models look shiny and new that you need to find ways to make them look old so it isn’t boring anymore.
Chris, what about a tutorial on using Rustall to weather, say, an old abandoned pick-up truck? Or the headlight brows on a '57 Chevy?
Another great build. HOWEVER, it did get a little "exhausting" at the end (insert Dad joke response here). So. how old am I? Better: Thanks for actually SHOWING us how it's done. 🤠
That's a neat build.
Almost looks like... You can just buff it out... And send it off to Barrett-Jackson.
Great review Chris, I love the weathering and aging touches, rust it, crust it!! Outstanding!!
It's not an hpiguys model build without Chris hand painting the transmission silver. How many little bottles of testors silver do you go through in a year? Lol
Well. You know what he says, there are those who like the smell of testors silver, and there are those who are wrong!!!
I think about two bottles in a year or so. It lasts a very long time.
LOL, yup!
@@hpiguy Now we know! Lol

Bondene. Thanks!

Those companies choose to not work with the channel.

Hey Chris,
The Camaro looks great, nice weathering. Really liked the fiddle music today. What color of green was the Short Cuts? I have been using these spray cans when I can find them, they work well.

What kind of brush on glue u use? Thx

love that bluegrass
What paint do you use to do the gearbox is it steel or silver? Been doing mine in steel and i find it dont turn out as good as silver
Do it in silver and finish wit a dark gray wash to bring out the detail.
It looks like it’s been sitting still for 32 years
LOL, yeah!
Last drove 1990. Funny!
Great weathering techniques Chris. Although the 69 Camaro is one of my favorite cars and seeing it all beat up like that nearly brought a tear to my eye....:( Build on!!
ME TOO 😭😭😭‼️
Love the build! Let the whiners buy their own kit and build it to the perfection they demand.
Great job, again!
Chris's whole point; Build it the way you want to.
Hi...
Long time viewer I'm taking years..
Can you use spray paint after the crackle on the seats for a smoother look?
I haven't tried it with anything but water based craft paints. Give it a shot and see.
I like to watch the actual build sequence at 2x speed. It makes the music a little goofy, but I slow down to normal speed when you talk. Great video, as always.
Does anybody know what that brown liquid paint was??
Man, that looks just terrible ! Great job ! 😉

That new hood adds another whole dimension to the car too.
Thanks for another interesting review, Chris.
Some call this aged look a Texas Suntan.
I love when you weather vehicles, it's so simple and effective. Plus with weathering a vehicle, you don't need to be a perfectionist lol.
Great build. Love your stuff. You can still find the vintage molds of this kit on the auction sites and swap meets. I picked one up last year for about 25 bucks with shipping. Probably one of my favorite builds.

A great build chris nice weathering. Now how to make mice turd's.Lol
You could grind up some course tobacco for dried leaves?
Just missing some little clumps of mouse nest materials : ) Great build!

I cringed when he took the emery board to the doors. And I've been weathering car models since I painted a dinosaur with Floquil weathering lacquers..
You are hiding stuff from us!
True, I'm not wearing any clothes while I film the builds. It's a bit risky with the super glue, but worth it.
😂😅😊
32years ago...lol!!
i know that this is your kit but could you build this kit in a mint condition build in the future builds otherwise nice job chris
I did it as a new Yenko on this channel a couple months ago. Same kit.
