- After building an impressive repertoire, touring and performing with A-list acts such as Jay-Z, Nas & Damian Marley, M.I.A., Christina Aguilera, Siouxsie Sue, Richard Ashcroft and more as well as appearing at numerous UK, European and US festivals including Glastonbury, Big Chill, Wireless, V, Hove and SXSW among others -- Akala made a very successful entry into India with a Hip-Hop Shakespeare performance at the Tata Theater (NCPA) in Mumbai, the NH7 Weekender in Pune and an episode on the critically acclaimed TV Show, The Dewarists.

It's so true what he mentions about the Indian diaspora in the UK, especially the older generations.
They have lost touch with reality of their ethnic countries despite still being attached to the tradition of it.
Its like a weird place they find themselves in where they neither identify as English nor as Indian.
