Infectious mononucleosis results in widespread adenopathy. Roseola infantum (caused by human herpes virus 6), cytomegalovirus (CMV), varicella, and adenovirus all cause generalized lymphadenopathy. Q5 This disrupts the flow of lymph, which can lead to swelling. This is lymphedema.
