- Ashley, John, Del, Lodz and Max are back to discuss the 2-0 defeat at home to Wrexham, reflection on Transfer Deadline Day as well as looking ahead to the upcoming BSM Trophy fixture away at Gillingham
Wrexham fans were more upset with the whole "Getting introduced to League 1" arrogance...
"You haven't been properly introduced to League 1 yet and if you give us 60% possession we'll hammer you 5-1." something like that. I found it funny, but it did make me want wrexham to win more!
I love the trash talk... it's all in good fun. Makes the games more fun and starts rivalries. love it!
"The team is not that much of an attacking threat and is that a suprise? No" well yes, it must be, as 3 of you predicted you would score between 3 and 5 goals in this game? so a bit of a suprise then? . I suspect you will come good this season though. Good listen thanks Up the town
this is what made me laugh so hard! short term memory issues i think lmao
Ashley thanks again for your appearance on The Local Pundit. Harry's comments while he was tucked in bed were appreciated as well. Props to you Gents agreeing to dish and take from Wrexham fans. Enjoyed Del's colorful descriptions and laying out how he felt. Win loose or draw all you can do is learn and carry on. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
69.8% possession, 0 shots on goal.
Fair play to Wrexham's defense, but that's brutal. What's the point of possession when you do nothing with?
So you stand by what you said and still believe all that you said? Or after all that no one will still admit they were wrong lol
Exactly! Ash stands by what he said, so lets break that down: Ash said that Wrexham aren't very good and have reached the end of our progression (top of the table and no losses yet), Ash said that Wrexham fans were getting bored (the Wrexham fans were loud as hell, and there were a lot of empty home seats), Ash said that our owners were getting bored (major stadium expansions are being planned). So when Ash says he stands by what he said, exactly which part?
From a Wrexham fan Peterborough acted like a group of posh boys but that Fernandez guy seemed class
Wrexham fan here, I want to let you I think you guys do a great job with your videos. Having 5 people contribute in a video can be tricky. Each person was well spoken and insightful. I wish you were Wrexham fans so I could enjoy your content more often.
I agree with Max. If you are getting shut out of the box you need to try something different and putting the ball up in the box would at least have been something to create a little chaos in front of the goalie.
Imagine talking shit then can't be man enough to admit you were wrong.
Great podcast boys and brave true fans being painful to try and analyse your team’s performance after a defeat. Great comments Del - Wrexham’s big bruiser centre forwards were Palmer at first then Fletcher. Wishing you well for the rest of the season apart from the game at Wrexham of course & that you finish near the top but of course below Wrexham. Up the town and thanks for the welcome back to league one after 20yr.
You guys have a great podcast. Agree with Max and Del ,you have a great team just need to get dirty, get it into the box and cause some havoc, it doesn't have to be pretty ever time. Look forward to seeing you again in January, hope we have good weather, it will be a great game. :)
At the beginning you talked about Wrexham's high press. This is the very first time I've seen Wrexham playing that high press and we were relentless with it at the start, so clearly a Parky tactic specifically to counter the Posh play-out from the back approach. I thought your team looked really good at the start, very comfortable playing one-touch passing out of defence.
Wanted to pop on over and thank Ashley, again, for his time at The Local Pundit. I'm not on Twitter/X, I watched the 'original' podcast here. I don't agree with some of the things said, but we don't have to agree as long as we are respectful. I'm guessing Del meant Ollie Palmer (not Mullin) looking like a boxer. Dobson is a pit bull. He has transformed our midfield; if we make it to the play offs, much of the credit will go to him. Looking forward to January. Wishing you all the best with the podcast! Up the Town!!
John never blinks unless he’s speaking
