    I have had my ebike for a few years now, they are brilliant for older people where the fitness is not quite what it was. Everyone wants to know the range on a charge but there are too many variables to put a figure on it. Of course the best part is that you can use all the cycle routes which you can't do on your motorcycle. Didn't see too many people around, perhaps it was a bit hot for them. Nice review Mark really enjoyed it.

    Mark, I really enjoy your motorcycle reviews because of the no nonsense, clear and anti-bias descriptions of each manufacturer you test. I especially like when you test other forms of transportation such as this e-bike and the CFMoto quad runner you tested recently. Keep up with the great motorcycle reviews and lets see some more unique forms of transportation in the future. Cheers!

    What a brilliant review for the U.K., all the reviews I’ve seen so far just seem to use the throttle, virtually no pedalling. This is the first proper review I’ve seen. Thank you so much. Once I can afford to buy 2 (wife wants one as well) I will be doing so. I will be using it to commute to work, as well as pleasure.
    Just one note you forgot to mention the rear light also has indicators as well.

    The problem with these (and others is the price). I had anold mountain bike with v brakes and for a laugh I bought a 500w hub kit and banged it on. And it's quick. 22mph, with a throttle. And doing 22mph actually deters car drivers from overtaking you at any opportunity. I didn't bother with the cut off brake sensor or the pedal assist, just the throttle works fine. And the best of all is that I can carry a shed load of stuff on it..easily 20kg of various stuff that I couldn't do on a normal bike. £380quid for the conversion and about an hour and half to do.

    I want one, but remember they are still NOT road legal with that 48volt battery (36v is the legal limit there). I just reluctantly sold my Cyrusher XF800…lovely bike, but not road legal and I chickened out with the risk of fines. Great and useful video, TY👍

    • @markpulling12

      Hmm interesting you say 48 v not legal ....I thought it was more about the watts 250 w continuous.... cyrusher do sell these "restricted " to 250 w on their website ..which is how they sell them legally??? They have big ol' 250 w stickers on the motors ... so personally I ride them with no worries whatsoever...but I'm very open to others thoughts and advice best wishes mark

    Looks good. But for the price you can buy a whole car with MOT that will run reliably, and you can also buy a decent motor scooter or even 125 cc Motorcycle. Of course neither of those are made for trails, nevertheless it is an indication of just how over-priced most e-bikes are. Great review and looks like you enjoyed it!

    If this is like other e-bikes, it probably takes a few rotations of the pedals before the motor kicks in which can make gaining the initial momentum tricky given the bikes weight, especially on an incline so can you use the "walk mode" you mention to give you an initial push off? I'm also in the UK so if I ordered one would receive the version with the throttle removed as standard to comply with UK law.

      @@markpulling12 Thanks for your reply Mark but I don't think I asked the question very clearly. If I leave the throttle in the box, (to comply with UK laws), can I use the "walk mode" button on the handlebars to give me an initial push off up to walking speed at which point my pedalling will have caused the motor to kick in anyway? I just need to know there's something to help you get the heavy bike going initially on those first few rotations of the pedals before the motor kicks in by default.

    So if this thing powers itself without pedaling, then I think it's not road legal is it?
    Came across one of these on the road the other day when motorcycling. He was doing 30, so not legal at all.

    • @markpulling12
      @markpulling12  2 роки тому +1

      No it's only not road legal if you fit the included throttle...you have to pedal at all times ... throttle is legal in some countries... The cruise control feature is on alot of bikes I believe

      @@markpulling12 Super review , I think Jimmy is right Mark, in the UK has to be pedal assisted, ( if made after 2015 I think ) if it runs without peddling that would probably count as a throttle. I converted an old mountain bike ,into an eBike (Bafang motor) that has a throttle, but I was assured by the D O T that it was perfectly legal because the bike was 20 years old., though, I wouldn't like to argue the point in court! Looks a super bike, and a lot more powerful than my Bafang 250W 36V

      Just another thought Jimmy, about the 30mph, I regularly reach 40mph on my just pedal powered road bike, so the guy might have been peddling like hell! and doing 30 quite legally?

    You have the stem / bars on the wrong way around. That head angle looks very steep, was it twitchy at all? I think if your after an ebike your much better going to a reputable bike shop. The problem I have with all these random e-bikes is the price. $2K+ gets me a true used motorcycle (or new China bike) or a hell of a bicycle, instead of a generic bike that's kind of heavy with a hub motor and questionable uses - being neither that good of a bicycle or electric. My daughter tried something like this on gravel hilly roads and got hurt due to crappy braking: that wouldn't happen on a real mountain bicycle or a trail cycle.
