Great video with some awesome includes for Rocco! Another essential card in my Rocco deck is Indomitable Creativity. Destroy all your foods to cheat out a massive board which typically leads to more triggers for cards like fireweaver
The main change I have in my version is that it's more equipment focus. The Nahiri in Aftermath is fantastic as it casts from exile too. Chiss goria is also a great addition as the foods can make him come down for 3 Red. Something I'm suprised wasnt in the list is rain of riches, as the treasure you make from it, and manufactor, help you guarantee a cascade trigger. Great video anyways
I considered Rain of Riches but wasn't sure I could consistently get treasures! Great card suggestions! They just spoiled a ton of food support in LOTR so I guess my list is instantly outdated hahaha
Personally, i try to avoid "until end of your turn" exile cards and only focus on "end of your next turn". Naya ramps well, but spending mana for end-of-turn exile is always a nonbo
That's kinda stupid, and unfortunate for you. Its card advantage for every player, with the added cost of small, incremental value over time for the Rocco player. It's way less disruptive than mill - at least everyone gets a shot at playing the exiled cards, whereas mill just boosts the graveyard player
If I decide to make this deck it's going in lol, thanks for the idea. I like commanders that do things on end step, like Urza Chief Artificer for example.
@Edward Daignault it's such a great card in this deck. Since it's instant speed you can cast it at an opponent's end step right before your turn and depending on how many tokens you have and how many creatures your opponents have on board, it can totally wreck face lol
Yeah I did have it in there bit ended up cutting it for space cause I felt it might be a bit situational, but you're absolutely right it seems like a blast to play!
I don't really think this is a group hug deck in the true sense. Yes, the commander does "kinda" give away resources but it will occasionally mess with your opponent and when they use those resources you get stuff that you can leverage for an advantage.
@commandpower1987 oh I agree, not a true group hug for sure. Do you play test these decks or anything, curious how well they perform. I made your Venser Corpse Puppet deck and it was fun (but yeah my friends hated it lol)
I generally goldfish and playtest them online as I'm building them. I would say I end up building around 70% of them. The Venser deck was super strong you are right, I think it would be too much for some playgroups
@commandpower1987 once the poison counters start adding up on people, they get very grumpy lol 😆. On time I messed up and gave everyone a poison counter (including myself) and my buddy had proliferate, so gotta be a bit careful too sometimes lol.
Really awesome video. food tokens do need to tap though.
Oops, completely derped on that, thanks!
in my quest to build an optimal rocco deck i have found enough cards to make 2 more decks
He really is such a versatile commander!

That's an awesome include! I've never played with that card so didn't think about it but seems really good!
Great video, and deck! I recently built him and am having a lot of fun - this helps a lot with my build, thank you1
Appreciate the support, glad to help, he's definitely a fun and friendly commander!

Yeah those tend to be much better but there are still some good ones in the first camp!
@@commandpower1987 absolutely, as long as they don't cost mana, or at least very little
My friends see it as mill now because they will not let me trigger anymore
Oh dear haha he's been busted!

Just pulled Rocco and this was an awesome set of helpful cards 🙌
You're welcome, glad to help!
Rocco is giving me decision paralysis by how versatile he is wtf
Yeah same, and virtually every new set will have a lot of good cards for him!
Fr fr, he is my commander for my adventure deck, my fortell deck, my +1 +1 deck, and my artifact deck.
Hehe amazing in all of those
I ran into this when i started putting cards together tonight. So crazy!
He's such a sweet commander, should be a blast!
I kinda wanna try this with a full doubling season package, anyone has any experience with that?
Oooh that sounds more powerful!
I know i said this in your previous video, but rampage of the clans is a great game ender in this deck once youve amassed enough food tokens lol

@Sinistra359 yeah I can see that catching people by surprise for sure, be pretty cool. Instant speed is always fun for that type of stuff.
@Sinistra359 and they wouldn't even have summoning sickness if you did it on someone else's turn, that's very nice
Yeah I did have it in there bit ended up cutting it for space cause I felt it might be a bit situational, but you're absolutely right it seems like a blast to play!
In a previous video you said sometimes the group hug decks have trouble closing out games...how do you feel this one stacks up?

Bruh I need them to reveal what partner Frodo does so I can decide whether to do abzan or naya food tribal
Haha, I wonder too. Maybe frodo will just be white?
The moxfield link is not opening properly:(
Let me have a look, sorry about that
Should be working now hopefully. Worked for me!
