On UA-cam? With its compressed video? Not a chance. Besides, you'll only be hearing the device you're viewing the video on - you won't be hearing the speakers. So. No.
@@TheAudiophileMan There are many videos on youtube where they make binaural recordings of various acoustics, or at least with a condenser microphone. It's just that in my city there is nowhere to listen and evaluate this acoustics 😒
Great review, and especially the comparison between the EVO and AURA speakers. I'm leaning towards getting one of those, and the more I hear about the AURA the more that sounds perfect for me. How do you think they will handle large scale classical music (symphonies)?
Thanks for the review, I have been considering these instead of the Elysian thinking I could get as much enjoyment for a reasonable cost saving. The one thing that is off putting is the cost of the matching stands £1,000). I suppose I need to see if Solid Steel make a model of suitable size and shape.
@@andrewbrazier9664 I have demo-ed the Elysian 3’s and 2 at home, the 3’s were too much for the room and the 2’s were great. I am waiting to try the auras at home which may just be enough for me. As I say the only potential fly in the ointment would be adding another 50% to get the matching stands.
@@festerfeet7302 "Matching stands" will have a much higher % profit margin than the speakers. Just use stands that will isolate them well. My Dali Oberon 1s are on basic stands with bamboo breadboards between them & the metal plinths 🎶
Feeling old having had the original Wharfedale and leak speakers back in the 70s , but no doubt these modern reincarnations bear no resemblance to those long gone originals . Nice to see the records on display , I don’t suppose it anything to do with me perchance 😂
From memory? (so bear that in mind because I had to send the PMCs back) I'd still go for the Auras, even though the PMCs sound excellent and provide a pretty good challenge, I would add.
So you listened to them? Coming from B&W I can tell you they outperform the 702S2 that I owned before, which were pretty terrible speakers for the 4k Euros I paid for them.
May i ask what is wrong with a speaker made in china? They look pretty well-built from what i have seen and the materials uses are decent for their asking money.

Thanks for the review of the beautiful wharfedale speakers
Nice review! Thanks for sharing.
The 80 th come back thanks for that 🎉❤

Please tell me, where is the test recording? I really wanted to hear how this acoustics sounded.

@@TheAudiophileMan I understand what you mean, but it turns out that I need to buy acoustics blindly, am I right?

I have a set on order with stands
Excellent. The towing (or not) of speakers is so important.
I ain't towing my speaker nowhere! I may however give them a slight toe-in to improve the soundstage... 😉

Thank you for comparison with two smaller and 1.5-2x less expensive speakers. It is nice to know that the Aura is better 😂

I think they would perform well, balancing the symphonic grandeur with the detail needed re. the upper frequencies.

You really need to audition them when spending that amount of money.
. I heard a pair a good few years back & didn't personally like the sound.
Just checked. these Aura 2s are 2k 🇬🇧 per pair 🔊

I’d love an Aura 1 review
I’ll try but I do have a whopping great review list already so it might be a tough one to squeeze in.
I can see different finish - some have chrome cones and trims, some black
Can you also review the Monitor Audio Gold 100 6G and compare them to AURA 2?
I've heard both, I think the Monitor audio 100 6G sounds better, but the Aura 2 is fantastic!
@@Moromete88 That's great! Thanks for the input 🙂
Never been a fan. In contrast to B&W, Focal, Monitor Audio, these are just not very resolving speakers. I admire your work, however.
