Legend! Listening to him it is hard to picture him atop a superbike blasting along the TT course, inches from danger. Hicky seems so normal, you'd expect some mad glint in his eye.
Yeah, amazing when you think what Hicky does for a living. You can see he is bike mad, like myself, just that he has god given talent and I have none :) Was great meeting him. I go to BSB occasionally and always watch the TT so now he will be my favourite and will cheer him on! Ade
They ARE proper racing bikes - just little ones!! They are demanding, quick and if you can ride these fast, you can rude anything! The kids were amazing, like mini MotoGP riders showing some amazing skills and track confidence. Ade
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, Hicky was awesome on the day. Always there for people. I now have somebody to shout for when I go to the BSB or TT next year! :) Ade

Great shout. Peter would love that, if the racing series was televised, even on some sort of bike channel. In all forms of sport in this country, although the infrastructure is very good in parts, there is little media coverage of anything other than adult activities. Ade
Watching that, you can see it is a lot about technique and you need to have the confidence to put your keen down to get round those bends with any kind of speed. Great watching.
Ha, yeah. A couple of other guys were there, including James Hillier. one of the blokes took Bikke out, you can see him 'waiting' for Bikke on the video. Ade
Ha, yeah, could be a laugh on the road. Not sure on the speed as on small tracks they would never likely reach it and the gearing is aimed at these twisty sort of routes. Seeing as heavier 125s go 65MPH - geared correctly I cant see why it wouldnt reach a bit higher. Still , these are not about top end but having the feel and ability of a big bike,. Ade
@@RevMonkey thanks for the reply. Might be something to add to my collection of small bore bikes when I have more money lol. I'd love to try raceing one on a big bore grom.
Not sure, due to gearing. These things are 120 up to 190cc, light as anything and 'normal' 125 can do 65 mph! As they are meant for circuits you can never get up much over 50 anyway. Love to see Hicky do a promotion whereby he rides this for one lap of the IOM TT!!! :) He'd still be quicker than me if I was on my Fireblade! :) Ade
I did go out there but the video was so slow you would have thought there was a problem. i was worried, scared and anxious. i didnt want to drop it! Ade
The bikes are sick but the price is absolutely ridiculous.. they start at like 6500$ and top of the line is 9 thousand dollars.. I would like a explanation on why they are almost as expensive as full size bikes and actually more expensive then some fullsize bikes? I mean the engine is made by someone else if I'm not mistaken so what's the deal? Is it just bc you can?
@@RevMonkey yeah I mean they fabricate the chassis sure but not much else..I guess ur rly just paying for the idea but it won't be long before Chinese manufacturers start cloning these things for a 3rd of the price and I'm fine with that. Id buy one of those and just upgrade it myself bc I can do some light fabricating. Just bc it comes out of Italy doesn't mean it has to be expensive
@@seanc6754 I believe you can already get much cheaper Chinese bikes. I do agree, it seems to have an Italian Premium on it, much like their sports cars!

Ade here. I did go out on the minigp bikes. I was rubbish:) I need more time on these things. They were mad fun though!
Wow. What a nice, humble bloke Peter is, considering he is a GOD of the road and track. Great video Ade, those bikes looks awesome!
Absolutely, and he is doing a great thing - giving back.
They are awesome. They cost more than the usual minimoto or pitbikes but these are proper, bonafide racing machines!

That guy is cool as a cucumber. Ade wanted to marry him 🤣

Looks like a great day out Ade. More mini action to come I hope.
Yeah, we love these mini motorcycles. They are fun and also great for learning technique. You have 1/3rd the distance to fall so a lot safer! :)
Ade
Yes we getting one each soon. Not sure which one though 😎
Great interview. Lovin Peter, so laid back and cool. Well done.
He is great. I have seen him a couple of times how. Very engaging and happy to talk to people.
Ade
Great video Ade. Peter was great and gave out a lot of good information.
Thanks 👍 Yes, he did. Excellent idea to get kids along the line of a motorcycle racing career.
Wanna see these on telly. Will make for great watching whether it is kids or adults.

Yes that's a great idea me and peter racing.
Nice. lovely having a track so empty to play around on.
Yes, that definitely helps. Much less intimidating. Bikke was pretty good off the bat, getting his knee down and doing some decent times.
Ade
Spotted your lovely MV by the car. Nice./ You should have taken it out on the circuit!
Ha. I did offer it to Peter to take on the track! :) He was busy all day helping all the others.
Ade
Im ordering one of these! Looks fun!
Great - tell us all about it. if you get one and film it we are happy to show it on the channel.

Sure! Will keep you updated!
Watching that, you can see it is a lot about technique and you need to have the confidence to put your keen down to get round those bends with any kind of speed. Great watching.
Absolutely. I did not have that needed confidence so I was struggling myself.

Like to have seen Peter on the bike itself - set a lap record!

Peter was scared to ride that day, thinking I will overtake him 😎
I think 2 strokes teach the kids to be a better rider
Yep. Cracking little machines. The kids have no fear so whiz round the track.
Ade
Bikke looked good, nice action there actually. Good camerawork. Somehow these bikes look super fast.
Yes they do. As they are small and one is nearer to the ground, the speed affect is pronounced. Scared me!! :)
Ade
It is actually quite nippy these bikes. The track was very tricky but really good fun.
I have been karting there. it is a tough circuit with the twists. Really get aching wrists and shoulders.
Yes, I find karting more physically challenging myself. All about relaxing.
Ade
Great camera action as the bike is so low it looks really amazing. Super sense of speed. It is like Moto GP speeded up! :-]
You are right. I have watched it a few times myself. Awesome really. As it is short circuit,. the bends come up really quickly.
Ade
That purple Merc looks mad!
Yep, my missus would like that! It belonged to one of our group.
I rode the bike down.

Peter's own bike looks dope. I guess you can put any livery on these bikes. Do they come blank?
The standard livery is as seen on the black and yellow bikes. Like a full size bike, you can customize it how you wish.

Yes u can, fully customisable
