Wales - one of the most beautyfull places on earth. And highly underrated. Even by the welch themselves. We were often asked: "So, what brings you to Wales?" Us: "holliday!" and the reply was often: "Why?" 🙂 One of our favourites is Beaumaris and the nearby Puffin Island. 🙂

four years after you uploaded, the algorithm finally gives it to me! 60-years old Mumbles man here, living in Brunei. So nice to see my old haunts especially the Mumbles! I left the UK in 2010, last visit was 2017....must return soon! Lovely video, thanks!
This is a wonderful video, thanks so much. I'm a Londoner, but fell in love with Wales long ago. The Gower is genuinely one of my favourite places on earth, especially when the sun is shining!
Hi, thanks for commenting. We love California too, we've been there a couple of times and want to try the north of the state next time which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.
You must have money to travel so I suppose I will never see Wales, and I can't even imagine what it is like to live near the ocean. It's like a different world. So interesting and beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful video.
I was born in South Wales so I know the South Wales coast fairly well and there are some lovely villages etc along the South Wales coast; in land too. The Glamorgan Heritage coast is very beautiful. Fontagary bay very nice with it's pebble beach
Nice to see the Glamorgan Heritage Coast an Merthyr Mawr sand dunes mentioned because a lot of people don’t know about it and it’s a beautiful place that I’m proud to call home!
I too lived in Rest Bay Porthcawl in my childhood and spent many lovely days on the beach there, and Pink Bay and Kenfig. Also love Porthkerry in Barry and Saundersfoot near Tenby (sadly, my memories of Tenby involve lots of rain!). The pub at Worm's Head is amazing to sip a pint during a storm!!
I lived in Porthcawl and spent so much time at Rest Bay. Used to ride my bike along the country lanes. Also loved Trecco Bay and Ogmore. Had a wonderful time in Tenby, beautiful memories. I am old now and live in Australia but my heart still lives in Wales
Such a well put together video! S. Wales is blessed with Outstanding Features. Castles. Beaches. Parks.Ect act. My ( Ours ) Favourite was always The Gower Peninsula in particular Rhossili!! A Great friend & I would Always travel west on public transport just ,too be there. Sadly he is no longer with us .His Son and I scattered his ashes on Land & Sea at Beautiful Rhossili. R.I.P Skipps. Many thanks and Kind regards Colyn.
Love our beautiful country.. how many people have moved to Wales in the last 18 months? The Welsh people and the Welsh language is important too. I met a women few days ago bragging she bought Gareth Thomas house in Bridgend area and huge house on the Pembrokeshire coast for holiday homes 😢
Coming to South Wales in July for a few days and came across your guide . Excellent , just what I was looking for and very well put together .. Cheers 👍
What a fabulous video to have stumbled accross! My partner and I are looking for a honeymoon destination in Wales, and this has been really informative and helpful - thank you :-)
Thank you for the lovely video! My husband and I had been talking about visiting this area for years and finally booked travel for later this year, which day by day looks less and less like it will happen :( But we shall see! Hopefully we will be able to visit, at least some day!
Great video, thanks for putting this up. I really enjoyed it. I'm 55, Cardiff born and have lived most of my life in south Wales. I've visited most places along the coast and I'd say your choices are spot on. If I was to add one more, it would be Whiteford Sands and the area around Llanmadoc on the Gower. It has a beautiful large beach with quite extensive sand dunes and it's surrounded by very pretty countryside. It's a bit of a personal choice though - I have so many memories of summer holidays there, camping with my parents in the 1970s!
This video is great! Visiting Wales in May and this video has given me some clues of where to go. Does anyone have any advice on where I should start and end a walking holiday of a week or so where I can easily get somewhere to stay each night?
The Wales coast path is great and we love the coast of Pembrokeshire (also Gower) getting a place every night could be tricky but still should be OK in May.
Absolute agreement! I grew up in Porthcawl and have most happy memories of Tenby. Any chance of a video on Porthcawl schools? Not all happy days, but...
Very hard to put them in order but a very good choice of locations. I’ve been to all of them my self. The only one I question putting in the top ten is Rest Bay. Don’t get me wrong it’s beautiful and I love Porthcawl but there’s far nicer places. I would of had Oxwich Bay on the list for certain. Thank you for that tho, lovely video and well put together 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks for commenting, Rest Bay is a great place for families and surfing and easy to get to from the M4. But there's a bit of bias (well more than a bit) because it's my home beach and where I used to play as a kid, so I had to include it.
You should be grateful for the Senedd. It’s literally only bit of control we’ve had in our own country since Edward I built those castles you’re so fond of.
Depends on what you like to do and how much time (and the eather), Rest Bay, Porthcawl has surf schools and board rentals, If walking is your thing, then the Gower and Worms Head is beautiful. For just a pretty seaside experience Tenby is our favourite town
@@flydriveexplorethanks . i got 4 boyss.2 teen 2 toddlers.dont mind to spend money.if you want to add any thing else.i will be happy.and im going to stay 3 nights
Sorry, Mr West - Should I say 10 minutes from A40 which is the dual carriage from the A48 and M4 - As you drive down west it is the MAIN road. Happy Now????????? Next time I'll consider ALL the comments from the pedantic road classification enthusiasts.
South Wales is my beautiful home 🏴
Thank you for the interesting videos that you do , it was a pleasure to meet you, can’t wait to buy you a coffee, nige

Very Informative video. I've just come Back from Wales and it has become my absolute favourite place in the world! I can't wait to co.e back again.
This is a wonderful video, thanks so much. I'm a Londoner, but fell in love with Wales long ago. The Gower is genuinely one of my favourite places on earth, especially when the sun is shining!
Glad you enjoyed it! It's been a great weekend here.
From Newport myself. 58yrs old and I'd forgotten what a beautiful land we are blessed to live. Thank you. Bless.🏴
Same here, you can forget what's around us.
Thank you soo much for including mumbles!!!
Great presentation of the top 10 spots on the South Wales Coast 👏 Thanks for sharing with us!
Thanks for watching

Thanks, we do enjoy living by the sea, especially during the storms (watching from indoors of course).
my one and only trip to Wales so far, we visited Tenby , it was beautiful and fascinating and I hope to visit again
We love Tenby, we haven't had a chance to visit since Jan, hopefully, next month.
Eine gute Idee - wir hatten 3 Urlaube in Wales - überall war es wunderbar. Wir lieben Wales. Grüße aus Deutschland.
Danke.
Hallo aus Wales

Yes, I've filmed a few walks around the Vale of Glamorgan.

Agree, a beautiful but very underrated area.

Yep, we can get a lot of rain. Inside a warm pub is a great way to watch the winter storms.

South wales is a stunning countryside
Another place which is a great place to visit for beautiful views and historic items is Burry port to Pembrey Country Park.
Hopefully, when the weather improves and we're allowed to travel again we can explore the area.

Marcus, absolutely fabulous - when we can travel again we'll head over to Wales, and this is an inspirational list - thanks again bud, stay safe
Thanks, we can't wait to get out but at least we can still walk to Rest Bay. It's really quiet as well.
I live in south wales very romantic places
I really didn't need more places to add to my list should I ever visit Wales lol It is quickly ascending my list of future trips!
Some of the beaches are the best we've seen and they are usually not that crowded. Hope you get to visit soon.
What a fabulous video to have stumbled accross! My partner and I are looking for a honeymoon destination in Wales, and this has been really informative and helpful - thank you :-)

Brilliant , I Love Tenby , I'm there most summers , But Stackpole is my favourite beach .... Regards from Abertillery .. Diolch 👍

Hi looking to tour south wales coast next year, nice video ,very interesting thanks
Thanks for watching. Hope you have a good time.
I haven't been to Tenby since about 1980 ish, I think ill be taking a drive when the U.K. reopens, not far from Neath.
We'll be doing the same. It's still really nice just avoid the bank holidays like other seaside resorts.
Curious, did you frequent the Knight's Arms? I must have seen you somewhere in the '70s and '80s. Great to see many of my childhood places too.
I didn't really start going out until the mid 80s when the Knights was in decline.
Thank you
_Really_ interesting video and a few we haven't been to yet. Thank you both
Glad you enjoyed it
I can’t believe Aberavon beach never made the list !!
Thanks for all the brilliant Info!

Great choices (Rest Bay local here) :)
It's a great beach.
Great vid mate, Photography is my hobby and was just looking for some new ideas and now i have some , thanks Russ from Caerphilly

You missed Barry island and the fairy castle and Caerphilly castle.
I'm from Porthcawl so Barry was the rival seaside town. I think Barry may deserve its own stand-alone video.
