how did your SUV pull that? I want the same size trailer that I plan to pull with my 2023 BMW X5 . I was wondering how it pulled and how bad it chewed up gas.
It pulls it very well. Gas miles dropped to just below 15 mpg. I’ve towed it in the mountains and had no issues, biggest thing is to make sure you distribute the weight evenly with a smaller SUV and single axle trailer.

Would the q5 be able to tow 3000 lbs?
Yes, It’s rated for 4400 pounds. I have towed 5,000 from Pittsburgh to NYC. I also two my 6x12 enclosed unbraked trailer a ton without issues.
@@westonlieberum1 thanks for the info. I have a 17ft Boston whaler that’s just under 3000 lbs. no need for trailer brakes?
I don’t have issues with 2 motorcycle and gear probably putting my trailer at 3000.
