Holly crap thank you so much the software really just unlocked the phone from recovery mode i thought it was a motherboard issue 4013 but it just got my phone out of recovery mode that's amazing. It was a cracked screen iphone x so i didn't bother to fix it and just got a new phone. But having all my data back is awesome

Nightiger - what was he talking about at the beginning with the “shift update?” I don’t understand and he doesn’t reply on here.
@@VeinyDickTracy If your on a Mac - on the keyboard press the option key and update button via itunes then select the beta file. If on windows - press the shift button on keyboard while clicking on on update via itunes then select download file and follow rest.

I finally figured this out! Download the current update or one before it you have on your phone , add it to itunes, then update. Worked for me

In iPhone 7 the baseband is still broken, this resolve the data recovery. And now you have a nice ipod!

Mine turned on by restoring it to iOS 11.4.1 using a IPSW file after doing this. However after playing with it for a bit it shut down and went back to boot loop. While it was on i tested the mic, camera, and it also made calls but it just died.. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. It’s never been repaired either.

Another opportunity for apple to fix this bypass and make data recovery again impossible! Its good helping normal peoples to recover data but when companys have access to this guide make easier to block this process with the new update!

I had this error and this method fixed my problem. I guess my baseband chip is broken because i still have no service. After ios 12 is relased, i wonder will i get the same error again if i update on official ios 12 version. Thanks
where did you find the file?
From the link in the description, about 2 months ago. But i think you can’t flash back from ios 12 to ios 12 beta if you alfeady updated your device

It's interesting that Apple is DELIBERATELY disabling iphones because ios detects a flaw in the startup. This is dishonest because a person may still want to use their iphone as an ipod. Or a camera. Or a web browser. What right does Apple have to disable my iphone that I own?

A quick tip to get the device firmware name at least. Links provided don't work.

No idea if the method still works but if you wanna try you maybe able to get the firmware now.
