    Thank you for sharing this video. Your collaboration with Holbein Acrylic Guache box is so beautiful.
    And I didn't realize until today how beautiful those Irodori sets were (especially the designs of the boxes!) though I am Japanese, live in Japan, knew about this Irodori series.
    I just wanted to tell you the meanings of some of the paint names you were wondering about in the video (your Japanese pronounciation is perfect by the way) hoping that will bring back your memory in Japan even more!
    Autumn Box
    "Uguisu" is Japanese name for the bird "nightingale" but when we say "Uguisu-iro (colour)" it refers to the color of "white eye" the bird on the Spring box. There is a long standing mix-up in Japan that many people think "white-eye" is "nightingale."
    Winter Box
    Seiboku = Blue Black.
    "Sei" is another way to read "ao (blue)". "Boku" refers to black colour but it literally means the charcoal ink (indian/chinese ink) we use for traditional Japanese painting.
    Spring Box
    Miosotis is the name of the flower commonly referred to as "forget me not." The Japanese name for this paint says exactly that: "Wasure Nagusa".

      Thank you for this, this is really interesting.
      I know the colors here are based on traditional Japanese paint pigments that Japanese artists have been using for centuries. These colors are so integral to Japanese culture that some ancient classic Japanese poems and literature reference these colors.

    i dont normally use gouache so im not sure if that blue black is common or not but it looks really close to a colour thats very common in watercolour called indigo, its a very dark blue and super pretty :)

    I normally don't comment on production quality as UA-cam vids are often home made hobbyist style etc. However please check your levels when adding music as an interlude. The sound was too high and thus hits like a brick! Its a pain to have to constantly change the volume as when you came back to commentary I couldn't hear you. Also dial down the bass. After all this isn't a nightclub!

      Yes, the volume ups and downs were a challenge. But worth the effort. Thanks.
      Also, I think myosotis is the forget-me-not.
