Meghan Maike (meg ‘an’ mike) arrives with her debut single “Redbird”. Riding a saloon bar
pickin’ rhythm, cloaked in Nashville City finery, and featuring one of those instantly engaging
pure voices that stop you in your tracks for a beat, the singer-songwriter is shooting for the
bleachers at her first bat.
Meghan describes the bolt of inspiration that delivered her “Redbird”:
“I was sitting on a bridge overlooking the river when the song arrived, in its own time. It wasn’t about the words, or the person - it was about the seasons and how he lived them. I sat there scribbling furiously and laughing to myself, because I felt my friend was there, telling me all about it.”
