Question.. After making a new left and right sidelines... When you go into a race, do you still need to hold down shift to load the sideline files? EDIT: found my answer in the other vid.. NO, as the sideline files create a new AI fast lane file.
AC should apply new side files to the fast lane automatically, but I always hold shift the first time. You can verify the date and time of the fast lane to see if it's newer than the side files, that's how you know they've been applied
Before you can record a partial line you must first record complete left and right side files. The initial side files start when you cross Start/Finish and complete again when you cross Start/Finish the second time, so there is no need to "finalize" a complete line by pushing a button. When you are recording a partial line (to fix part of a previously recorded side line) one of the top buttons should say "Finalize Left" or "Finalize Right". If you click that button you won't have to complete the lap in order to write the new side line to file. Why the AI doesn't start in one of the vertical line of the starting grid? In my case, all the left position of the grid at Moscow Raceway that doesn't have an AI path.

Yes, this has already been done, in one of the attempts I managed to make the line on the right side, on the left not. Now I've tried one last time and the track does not even want to load. I'm trying to redo the Bathurst lines

Hi, I’m simply looking for a way to slow down AI to cruise speed, specifically on LA Canyons. I want to ride with multiple cars that will stay together and not crash. I’ve used track day on low strength and low aggression with a two-way traffic setup, but that’s not working out. Any suggestions?
Forcing lower gear ratios in ai_default files for a car on that track might help, but most road cars don't have adjustable gearing. Did you check the CM AI extension for options?
David Zahn You see I don’t even know how to access these files. I have content manager. I haven’t checked the extension. Could I just just put the AI speed at like 50% and not mess with the gearing. I want them to go slower than usual.
Hello, i would be glad to donate, but the app doesn't show up on AC apps list and I don't know how to make AI Helper controls to appear on screen. I installed AI Helper files on correct folders. However, my track doesn't include any side.csv files. Do i need those csv files to make AI Helper work? Can AI Helper create csv files from scratch? Thank you
This is a "feature" of how the New AI Behavior CSP extension works. There's an option in there that I think you have to tweak, or you can just disable it completely.

From what I understand the surfaces.ini for each track/layout defines which surfaces of the 3D track model are considered "valid". When any give tire is not on a valid surface it's considered "out of bounds". There are many times that the side lines may not actually map to the track boundaries, so you'd maybe want separate side files for that purpose, and then you'd need to created an app that everyone would need to run to report an out of bounds, so while technically possible it may not be feasible from a logistical standpoint. Feel free to PM me on Race Department if you'd like to discuss this more.

ACU Bathurst only has red lines on the sides and they jut in and out . I just tried right side .Nothing seems to happen . I can make a new fast lane but the ai is still confused . what are you clicking to start the recording I cant see your mouse pointer . track right tab ?
I've not tried only making one side file. If you make both side files and then hold shift while loading a session you should see the yellow lines appear along-side the red lines. If the yellow lines are loaded the red lines should change to match the location of the yellow lines.
Hello David, thanks for your useful app but I' ve a problem in Kyalamy 1969 witch I'm working on...I 've managed to create both sides, and correctly loaded them pressing Shift, but, when recording fastlane.candidate and renaming the two's(the pit one and the fastlane) the game load the updated lane with the old boundaries..How's possible to update the right and left boundaries when yellow loaded in the fastlane and pitlane?? I mean, I have to load the new boundaries each time with shift?? SInce I'm assuming the video is not saying that, so something I'ìm missing... (I'm on AI helper 1.6 version) THANKS!

Sergio Donato If the AI get caught "off track" they will sometimes fail to move. It may be they don't understand the grid spots are actually on track.

Hey, thanks. When i record the lines, i restart the track and it works but when i restart again then they become the original ones again.
