Confidence continues to increase for a Sudden Stratospheric Warming Event to occur around the middle of February, and that could bring a Polar Vortex split into the United States, which means Winter is NOT over yet!
Thank you restoring the “color ribbons”. I often have to watch with the sound off, and now can follow you either way. Keep doing your good work! This is my fave weather channel.
I am in new hampshire where i am we have only gotten 2 or 3 inches a storm. So far this winyer i been measuring and writing it down we have had about 13 inches total this year so far.but its still snowing tonight
@@WeatherOnTheGoForecastsSo glad I left Tennessee a year ago and moved to southern part of central North Carolina! As a grandmother enjoying the warmer clime and less extreme weather. Done miss the tornadoes!
Beautiful forecast, my friend! Question though, with the split you mentioned. When the cold fronts split, the one that moves further north into Canada will it eventually make it down into the United States or go the opposite direction? Because that will tell us if we're going to have an early Spring or not.
If the Polar Vortex splits, it’ll send cold air into the United States through the month of March too. Spring would be delayed by at least a few weeks.
Maybe, due to the Polar Vortex split that is likely to send colder temperatures into the Central United States by the second half of February. It just depends on how far south the storm track gets and also how intense the cold temperatures will be. I’ll keep you updated.
Warm temperatures the first 10 days of February, then a much colder weather pattern is possible by the middle of February and into the second half of Feburary due to the potential for the polar vortex that may return by then.

When is this polar vortex? I live in Northern Utah
It wouldn’t happen until around the 3rd week of February and beyond.
I just put the studded tires on my dirtbike and my plow truck is ready, so we will get rain 😂
Which storm will produce "Feet OF Snow" mentioned in the caption.
The storm across the Western United States that will produce about 80 inches of snow in the Cascades, the Sierras, and parts of the Rockies.
I don't like cold blobs. lol
Hopefully chicago gets some snow were just at 6 inches for the entire winter we have some serious making up to do with snowfall around here
Chicago should have at least a few opportunities for snowstorms around the middle of February.
in NY it has snowed almost every day for the past month, it’s been awful
