    Love this video! Tx. As a newbie it is very cool to see this press in operation with your set up and seeing the process live and the little details that you deal with during reloading. I purchased the xl750 and am acquiring all of (the many) the components to reload 9mm. I think this is the set up I’m going for….

    This sure is cranking out the product. Look like you may have had a couple issues with seating primers but it was a beautiful production.

      For the powder measure? Yes that is the original one for xl750.

      @@blinggnilb2 how did you do to align the powder measure so it doesnt interfere with the 3rd station where the bullet feeder goes? If I do that in my 750 then the failsafe gets so sideways that it stops working properly. the way the machine is designed is so the powder bar gets in the way of both stations 3 and 4.

    Just now doing my research on reloading presses and the Dillion just seems far more superior. Thanks for posting this video. Do you also reload other calibers as well?

    • @blinggnilb2
      @blinggnilb2  Рік тому +1

      Yes. I reload 9mm, .357 Mag, .45ACP, .223 and 308.
      You can’t go wrong with a Dillon. I also have a Frankford Arsenal X-10 that I need to make a video on.

      @blinggnilb2 Just out of curiosity why do you have 2 progressive presses? And if you had to choose one of the presses which one? I would reload 9mm 45acp and 556 because that's the only calibers I have.

    • @blinggnilb2

      I have had the Dillon xl750 for about 3 years now. I just got the FA X-10. I got the X-10 to do rifle rounds in one pass. I have to run .223 and .308 through the dillon at least twice. I will only do pistol with the Dillon and rifle in the X-10.
      If I was only doing 9mm and 45acp I would go with the Dillon xl750. .223 is a little for difficult to process, but the Dillon is food for that too. You will have to worry about trimming and swaging military brass.

    Pretty sweet run. Fresh xl750 owner here and new to reloading, i just grabbed it from dillon store just down the read from me. Literally just got it set and am getting my initial load data. I cant wait to be loading 5.56 and the 300 blackout im setup for, half as fast haha. Maybe ill do 9mm in the future but its just cheaper for me to get it by the case full. Its nice to see what the press really can do. Im on the ropes on powder check or bullet applicating setup. Idk whats goin on with them primers ya keep checkin, what i did to get primers seating in 1 press, was tighten case tray down till the press doesnt function, and loosen the nut just barely enough to be able to operate. Got my primers seating nicely even in un prepped 5.56 cases that werent swagged. Probobly rough on the press doin that. Anyways, have a nice day. You got me motivated

    Are you running the bullet feeder without the short powder bar installed? I have the same setup but my powder bar is hitting my bullet feed. I think I need to angle my powder drop over more toward station 4

    • @blinggnilb2
      @blinggnilb2  Рік тому +1

      @samr4584 My bullet drop is in station 3 since I don’t have a powder check. I use a camera instead. Size, powder, bullet drop, seat, crimp. No need for me to get the Double Alpha extra short powder bar.

      @blinggnilb2  4 місяці тому

      @@morrow275 I got them from ebay and are called “Dillon RL550/XL650/XL750/1050 Powder Measure Knob”. They make adjusting your powder drop a little easier when switching to different loads. A few different people make them and you may find some that of better quality.

    I looked at the Dillon website and I’m so confused. What do you need to buy to get what you have here? I’m looking to do 9mm, 45, maybe 38, 357 and 223. Looked at just 45 and it came out to something like $3500 with the websites configuration for
    Just the press, case loader and caliber setup for 45. I’m thinking that can’t be right since the press is under 800

      Are you flaring your cases too much? There should be just enough flare for the bullets to sit in the case before seating. You want enough flare so that you don’t shave copper or powder coat/lead off while seating, but not too much that you have a problems or brass case shavings after crimping.

    • @JBesq
      @JBesq Рік тому +1

      @@blinggnilb2 I don’t think that I am as there are no shavings but going to look at it again.

    I am also running the mini bullet feeder I was hoping you would show another angle where the primer alarm and powder dispenser are my primer alarm is right up against the powder dispenser is that what you have?

    • @blinggnilb2
      @blinggnilb2  2 роки тому +1

      I have a little more than a 1/4 inch between my the primer alarm housing and the powder measure. You can rotate the alarm and the powder measure (not as much) to get more clearance. I assume your bullet drop is in station 3?
