I remember someone saying, I think it was the duffer brothers themselves, that Steve was supposed to force himself on Nancy but when they saw Joe they just couldn't do that scene
damn, the way i see steves character now is much better because they didnt do that. I like the way he was just a stupid idiot in season 1 but he still cared deep down
I only feel like season 1 is the best season because it just has "That" feel and vibe to it, like you are actually a kid in the 80s, like you are in their group, it gives off nostalgic vibes even if you weren't even born in the 80s. Also, it was centered around the mystery of the Demogorgon and the vanishing of will byers.
It captured that Steven Spielberg charm and Stephen King spirit the best imo

It got down the Spielberg/Amblin and Stephen King tone and feel the best imo. Just has that great E.T., Goonies, IT and Stand By Me vibe, with some Alien,Poltergeist and Firestarter as well, among other films.

I think that's the director saying that.. I do think the person yelling Runn!! is either Jonathan or Dustin.. some say Will but idk doesn't sound like Will to me really
Season 1 has that perfect mystery-horror vibe. It had a brilliant way of storytelling. It’s arguably the best, but I could go for any of the four. They are all great in different ways.
Ya season 1 had that Twin Peaks/David Lynch, John Carpenter, Steven Spielberg and Stephen King tone and vibe the best.. felt very Twilight Zone and Outer Limits at times too.. every season is great tho. All have ups and downs but are all pretty solid.. sure 5 will be great too
@@garrybrown2627 Yeah. I enjoyed that a lot. Season 2 and 3 were great, but had a little bit of a different tone to them. Season 4 is the other big contender for number 1. It had a very unique vibe, but it had the darkness and gore that I wanted from the show.
You know Jonathan was actually good in S1. It’s a shame how they developed, or didn’t develop, his character in the later seasons.
Also Ep 3 of S1 is where I got hooked as well 😁
For me personally, season 1 is the best , not just on a technical standpoint like writing , acting , cinematography etc but also the stakes and the threat felt more real and haunting

Thanks, I’ll definitely check out your patreon. It’s true, Stranger Things is clearly one of the best (in my opinion, best of all time) shows. I kind of want to see another villain in season 5 if the mind flayer returns with Vecna (I’m not gonna count the Demogorgon) but it shouldn’t be that big of a villain, the spotlights should be on eleven, Will and Vecna.
season one, I wholeheartedly believe, was Mike's major sexuality crisis season. "Oh boy, there's a girl. I should try to force myself to like her to seem normal."

My personal favorite season is season 3, it is just a bit more different than previous seasons, it adds more personal issues like relationships and the mind flayer coming back and mind controlling people was awesome! Personally my favorite :)

Seasons 1 and 2 will always be my favorites.. I'm a huge fan of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter and Stephen King and movies from Amblin Entertainment and George Lucas.. and those first two seasons captured the charm and spirit of those films and the 1980s the best imo.
E.T., The Goonies, Gremlins, Critters, Poltergeist, IT, Firestarter, Stand By Me, JAWS, Super 8, The Gate, the Monster Squad, the Lost Boys, Explorers, Close Encounters, The Thing, The Fog, Evil Dead, Alien, Aliens and so on.. just felt the first two seasons captured the horror and sci-fi movies from that decade the best, captured the John Hughes high school coming of age movies the best too, and Middle school kids riding bikes and going on an adventure.
seasons 3 and 4 were both very solid, but lacked that magic and charm of the first 2 since the young cast got older, and lost a bit of that Amblin heart and spirit to me..
but they all have their Highs and lows and are all pretty decent.. think 5 is gonna rank up there as one of the very best too.

I love the mystery elements of season 1 too.. felt like Twin Peaks,the Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone.. maybe some elements and influence from other TV series too like the X Files, Goosebumps and Eerie,Indiana.. even if it was the only season and like a little nostalgic throwback mini-series. I honestly would have been ok with it.. but glad it continued on and can't wait for 5th/final season

They are all pretty solid though..I prefer the first 2 seasons the most though.. just had that Spielberg and Stephen King tone and vibe the best.. and just middle school kids riding bikes and on an adventure.. with the cast being older now just doesn't have that same Heart and charm as it did those first two seasons

Hopefullly jonathan has a glowup in season 5. He used to be my top 3 favorite character in the series until in season 4, he was a bum, He did drugs and i just didn't like that arc to his character.
IMO, Season 1 is the best season for me, because of the horror elements in it, and also the mystery elements.

I highly disagree.. it's one of my favorites to re watch along with season 2.. and there's slow parts in every season.. it is usually not until chapter 4 when the pace starts to really pick up.. but to each their own. I love the heart and charm of season one. Captured that Steven Spielberg and Stephen King spirit the best in my opinion
Season one and four. Season two had all these weird parts and season 3 had the most annoying character by far.
