  • I've moved on from Karnivore Kurt, there's just too much in my life that's not all about carnivore that I needed to shift this brand identity to match who I am. I've been working on some content and found some editors but we're going to be a bit more about the topics that are relevant to my entrepreneur, travel and health, biohack journey and less all about Carnivore, which I'm mostly still doing. (still no veggies)
    PS this was a difficult decision to make, I didn't want to alienate those who followed me but I also felt like I couldn't be who I really wanted to be w/out being more real and just lifting up the hood and deciding to be me, appreciate all the feedback as we pivot on this journey.
    RIP Karnivore Kurt

    FYI - I've also updated my social (@kurt.yaz) and we're finishing up a new website to be posted. Thank you all for your support and over these last 4 years since I joined the UA-cam community.

    👏🥳 Happy New Year! I'm happy to hear that you're still in the scene and I'm really looking forward to watching your new content. I started keto April 4th of 2020 and since moved to carnivore. All for health reasons. I've had some uncomfortable symptoms since I was 13 yo. Constant dizziness, panic attacks, and anxiety to name a few. Ancestry had let me know that they found I am a carrier for hereditary hemochromatosis. Old research says that I shouldnt be affected but new stuff and groups of people alike are leading me to think otherwise. So I touched bases with my Dr to have some gene testing done to get proper diagnoses and to see where we should go from there. I've seen a lot of Drs and it always feels like throwing darts in the dark. Praying this leads to discovered answers and relief 🙏

      I carry some hereditary hemochroamtosis, hopefully you have been checking iron levels and donating blood occasionally here.

      @kurtyaz I'm anemic but my Dr doesn't know why, iron and B's seem to be ok. How do I know my levels are being tested correctly? 🤷‍♀️ Mentally and physically I feel worse than when I started, but I've just been thinking it might be due to long c19. Will you be releasing content touching on hereditary hemochromatosis? I hope you do. Would love to hear your experience and findings. Modern medicine seems to be behind on it.

      Get another 1-2 tests from another 1-2 doc/nurses. Prob do another 1 doc and a online test if you can through quest or another lab provider. I have the opposite problem of holding too much iron.
      Do you actually think you have symptoms? Low energy, low coloring and transport of oxygen in your body, tingling etc..?

      @kurtyaz I have an appointment with my current Dr to talk about having some Gene testing done. I'm not expecting different results from ancestry but I'm thinking going through a doctor is proper for medical documentation 🤷‍♀️ and if I'm not mistaken ancestry only tests for type 1 hereditary hemochromatosis. My symptoms started pretty severely when I was 13 years old so I'm thinking there's more to it. My main symptoms are constant dizziness anxiety depression panic attacks anemia fatigue ADHD and migraines / headaches (to name a few) I've seen a lot of doctors who never really had any real answers and only tried treating my symptoms with medications that didn't work or gave me bad reactions. I've been prescribed inhalers anxiety meds antidepressants, and at one point I was even told there was something off with my thyroid but lately I guess it's okay. The distressing thing at the moment is that my oldest daughter is mirroring my situation. Even if something comes from my next appointment with my current doctor I plan on seeking a second opinion with a naturopathic doctor.

    Hello Kurt, I'm interested in your updated labs mate, I was previously carnivore, and was thriving until I got the same symptoms as Saladino too. High SHBG equalling low free t, elevated iron levels, and low t symptoms. I've been donating blood x2 a year, added some carbs back and adapted my training intensity. I haven't tested since, but all negative symptoms have now subsided. Have a great one, Paul

      Yes, optimistically 1 upload / week, we have 3 more edited and ready to go. I'm sharing more about my life and overall journey vs trying to be the expert on certain topics, I think we'll put up some fire content a little slower while I launch a few new brands and I'll share behind the scenes as I'm working on different things.

    I hate to throw him under the bus but Saladino looks rough. I don't know what he has been doing the past few years but he seems to have accelerated his aging. It's weird when others like Berry seem to be reversing their age.

    • @kurtyaz
      @kurtyaz  4 місяці тому

      You think Saladino at 47 looks rough? Dude goes out a lot in the sun but he seems to have a vital energy and youth to him. He isn't as big as Berry or Baker I think he's prob just as if not more fit in other functional ways.

    • @megan7985
      @megan7985 4 місяці тому

      @@kurtyaz he is fit but his face has changed a lot in just a couple of years. More than I would have expected. I did a side by side photo because I thought maybe it was in my head. At 44 he did a photo on Facebook saying he was reverse aging and I just don't think that's true anymore.

    • @kurtyaz
      @kurtyaz  4 місяці тому

      well he's also an entrepreneur now and lives in Costa Rica, I could def stay out of the sun and show less aging but not necessarily be more vibrant. Not defending but there's a lot of context to consider if you're going to group that with his info and approach to optimal health.@@megan7985

      haha, no salads are being enjoyed! Just some fruits and occasionally organic pressured-cooked white rice.
