The simple fact that there is a thing in game called "SHIP STAMINA" shows how good BUGISOFT is
I mean if you change the name to crew stamina it makes more sense
@@VerekEditsthat makes way more sense
@@VerekEdits if the crew blows the sails, yes! But I don’t think there is anyone blowing the sails with the entire capacity of their lungs.
The player should be able to find which way the wind is stronger and find their way
@@VerekEdits if the crew is crewing a rowing ship, like in AC odyssey, instead of a sailing ship? Then yes, that would make a lot of sense.
The crew being what you need to actually run out the sails and fold them back in for manoeuvres, would make crew stamina on any ship with sails relevant
"Your ships stamina is low, find more electrolytes"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 fuckin hell that was so funny ahahahahah
Let's go to Brawndo Isle.
@@KzS_Guenther_Luetjens 🤣
Stamina is the crew operating the sailes
@@Elozano35 No. Because then it would have said "Your crew's stamina...". You don't have to do backflips in order to rationalise their garbage, you don't owe them anything.
I forgot this game existed.
same
This game only made me want to play Black Flag even more.
cool
Happens to me a lot with other diferent games. I actually enjoy Skull and Bones. Last time this happened to me was Destiny 2 and Elden Ring and I was reminded of them just because the new DLC is coming :) I know Destiny 2 DLC will be fucking dogshit like every single one of them. Just overpriced shit for no content. And Elden Ring went completely past me because I am fuckin sick of everysingle game being a fucking souls like. I am actually glad for arcade game like this. Its grindy and fun to sail the see and shoot the shit while rising up a the gear score.
They should have just saved that money and made Skull n Bones "Black Flag Multiplayer standalone". They had peak pirate ship gameplay over a decade ago.
that's what the initial idea was back in 2013 when they started making it, then we got this crap
You mean the original idea of a naval battle arena lacking from black flag? Yeah how’s that any different than what was released? People didn’t want another regurgitated assassin creed game.
@reddemon6668 no one wanted it be assassins creed, they wanted it to be a pirate game utilizing some mechanics from a successful title. With how many reused assets and animations ubisoft and other companies use, this should've been a walk in the park
Literally!!! If they just remastered Black Flag and added multiplayer where you could join your friends ships rather than sail separate ships, it would have been goated!!!
@@reddemon6668a regurgitated black flag would have been 10x better than this garbage game 😂
Damage numbers? Ship stamina? Ubisoft is going down the arcade route it is making their games so hollow and lifeless. It feels like the only details they worked into the games properly are the politics and microtransactions
the ships stamina is based off the crew, its called triming the sails, its done in real life as well
All those mechanics were in AC Odyssey and I didn't see players complain about it
@@ReeceGonzalesbs in real life you don't run out of stamina sailing a ship unless you're racing... imagine sailing a clipper ship across the ocean and the crew running out of stamina every few minutes. Or a small sailboat around a lake. No they set the sails and lock them down only adjusting as needed.
@@DmytroBogdan I did, assassin creed sucks after they introduce those stupid rpg elements
@@tonyshen8543 I highly doubt old mechanics will come back so no point in complaining
I don't want a garbage fantasy pirate game based on microtransactions, I want a pirate game based on pirates lol
Sea of thieves, mate
@@caviestcaveman8691 you must be trying to do quests. Never do quests.
@@caviestcaveman8691 no, you hourglass and ruin other people’s day
@@caviestcaveman8691 I still have base cosmetics. You must just be bad.
@@nigelkucera5737 just simply saying how sea of thieves has no progression and got boring within 2 hrs it's fun fighting the random team that comes and fights you but other then that it feels pointless
I started dabbling with Skull & Bones the other day just to see what it was about and I think if a player goes into it with juuuuuust the right expectations then it can be relatively enjoyable. Some of those expectations are as follows: (1) Remember, this game came from a tortured development process, (2) It plays like a $30 game, (3) Your ship is your main character, (4) Ship stamina = crew stamina, (5) Everything - including how farming is done - comes back to the fact that your ship is your main character. All of that to say it's not just about lowering expectations, it's also about adjusting those expectations as well. I think this game was marketed as being too many different things whilst Ubisoft worked on casting as wide a net as possible for prospective players. All the bloated expectations that come from this mess of a strategy have to get boiled down and reduced to what the game actually is, then you can finally see what the has to offer from that tempered perspective. Of note, I think in some ways it reminds me of Blood Wake so that's been a neat little surprise. Anyways, S&B is definitely not a main squeeze for me but if I want to sail the open seas while the crew sings shanties then I boot this game up and have some fun.
I’ll just play sea of thieves …
All they had to do was mix sea of thieves with AC Black flag
It has no progression though 😭 it's so boring after a while
Sea of Thieves and AC4 are the perfect games to springboard off of when making a pirate game, and yet they barely even took inspiration from AC4. Literally their own game...
If it goes "no mans sky", good
If it doesn't? eh, some content to watch I guess.
The game still look like a mobile game lol
I love skull and bones it's so fun to find funny moments like the broken plank bug
While i agree with the lack of content and theres not so much to do while sailing, ship stamina isnt ship stamina its crew stamina. When you start trimming the people on your ship hold down the ropes (you can see them do this in first person) for the sails to go down further thus taking up their stamina also when you feed them it improves their stamina regen. Your ship does not have lungs.
this, i've got 300 hours in and while yes tehre's lots of problems, crew stamina and the harvesting mechanics are the least of them
"just call it AAAA game and it will sell good"
- Ubisoft marketing experts
This game is an emptied shipwreck.... With timers....
pirates without swords is just assholes on boats
Lol, the game isn't great...But you clearly haven't played it at all. The game has barely any content, and you are still way at the beginning.
You can shovel food into your crews mouths for infinite stamina. When the game first released I went in hard. For two days I basically didn't eat, sleep or do anything but play Skull and Bones, I got the Sambuk on the second day (locked behind the stupid coin grind, which is all end game is) and for two days I was king. It seemed like in every single lobby I was miles ahead of everyone in ship and equipment, I dominated nearly every PVP activity I joined, then I got bored. In a game all about ships you're definitely not spoiled for choice, end game you've really only got a single option and it's the Brig, because almost all of the activities heavily favor speed over anything else. Unless something has changed end game consists of sailing the exact same routes over and over and over to infinity.
I'm starved for a good age of sail game, so I went all in and really tried to like this game, and for 40 hours I did, but there's just not nearly enough content in the game, and the end game is mind numbingly boring.
I think what gets in the way of S&B being a good game is that the devs turn everything into a pain in the azz . It already was a constant grind , now they added fleet , ship upgrade , defense...etc. which adds grinding to the already existing grind . So now you can decide to just have fun with average ships and weapons OR you grind your azz off to be top notch . I don't think I'll get another season pass , not even sure if I finish this one .
The materials like wood plates and metal put into your warehouse and I know that if you also run contracts you will upgrade your ships to better ones also fast travel is possible when you are looking at your ship when docked there is a way of fast travel in game.
watching this game makes me wanna play sea of thieves.
So much promise, only for it to give so much disappointment 😞
This is assassin's creed black flag if you could only sail, shoot ships, and walk pve
so world of ships with extra steps
A good looking game is not a GOOD game
Watched 3 dev’s play it live the other day, looks the most boring slog ever.
wtf are all these bright colours and skins and shit?? is this a pirate game or is this fortnight?? I think the devs/corporate overlords totally misread the room on this one. Just remake black flag with some some minor multiplayer/instance aspects and its job done, so simple, how did you fk it up.
Omg time is flying I swore this just came out…. I hate getting older
Death quickly approaches my friend
the con is its a Ubisoft game, not a improvement to AC4 Blackflag, a Ubisoft live service, uses Ubisoft connect launcher... I wish this was made and published by somebody else SMH... you won't own anything and you'll be happy about it.
"Quick! Eat some bread!!" - tells us all we needed to know.
Sea of Thieves did sailing and piracy better.
Not prettier - but better gameplay.
Bro idk what I hate more. Micro transactions in a game or a stamina bar in a game
In this case, definitely the micro transactions. There is fast travel if you want to go long distances quickly and while the mechanic is stupid, food will keep the ship running at top speed if you keep eating every so often. There have been some good changes since release but also more micro transactions. There really has to be a better way.
Came with no expectations, leaving not surprised.
For the life of me I do not understand why they couldn't just take Black Flag and make it online. They would have made millions just selling pirate outfits and flags.
if you give money to ubisoft , you dont have a right to complain about 130$ games
From online Ubisoft games I only play for honor and rainbow six siege. For story games I play all of them but some of them on sale some others full price but only the standard edition never gold or ultimate
"We're out of stamina, we can't brace!" WHAT, you can't duck because you sailed too fast? God this game is terrible lmao
I stayed away from this game until I got it on sale for £20. I'd say that for that price is actually worth it. Is been quite fun and engaging with a good progression loop not very grindy.
- Stamina is easy to manage with grilled foood which you'll end up having hundreds.
- Weight, always drop your stuff in the ports.
- Gathering is now one key press and can be done passing by.
As I said for a 20 price it's quite good and worth it, I'm having quite a lot of fun.
People keep calling Star Citizen a scam, but BS like Skull and Bones is exactly why I support Star Citizen.
Ships with levels so you can't damage them.
Ships having stamina.
Healing cannon balls.
Mobile style harvesting minigames.
Hijacking being a cutscene and a loot screen.
.....
If any game ever made a case for how important a minimum amount of realism is for fun in gaming, it's this one.
Those 4 seasons are year 1 content. Remains to be seen what it if they will add more content after that. Season 2 isn’t too bad though I guess. For me the game is mid. Not terrible but not great. I’d say a 5 or 6 out if 10.
The game wasn't broken. All your issues are just a "Your Problem" kind of thing.
You can fast travel to each port/village you unlock. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I got maybe 3 minutes into this video realized it's a waste of time. This guy's opinion holds zero wait or credibility. It's clear he has never played the game
Nobody cares because the game is full of other trash he, and everyone else, are showing in their videos.
Complain for complain. The guy surf on popularity to try to get some suscribers. Quite pathetic.
bro he literally loaded into a save wdym he never played it lmao
Goes to show that no matter what kind of dog shit Ubisoft releases. People will play it.
It has so much potential they did absolutely nothing with.
"Broken plank put me over the limit." I hate inventory and weight limits as well as crappy loot.
All I wanted is Black Flag 2.
Maybe im just a sucker for all things Pirate, but I played the trial version, used up all his hrs and really enjoyed it, contemplating buying the game but not at full price LOL, I GIVE IT A 7/10
you're a lost cause
@@TobiCozyLost at Sea 🌊 Perhaps but otherwise give it another go Pirate 😁
i did, not worth it just wait for a sale
@@jakemilkbassistit’s definitely not worth 70 dollars…..maybe 20-30 dollars 😂
$34 dollars at best buy
Played the trial, didnt hate it but i refuse to play the game bcs of the season system, when a solid part of content is in limited events it just sucks
I was thinking about trying it while it's on sale, but seeing how being too heavy seems to instantly stop you convinced me not to
I love the game. Dont judge it by the criticism when it came out, its season 3 now and they have added lots of content.
Ill be honest . . .skull and bones isnt what we all wanted but it, (being what we got ). Is it really that bad ? I mean for a pirate themed world of warships game it looks good ! Im half tempted to play it
Do you think it's acceptable to make a game about pirates in which you can't board other ships?
A game doesn't have to be perfect, but Ubisoft didn't even try with this one.
My issue with Skull and Bones is the fact that the updates while yes adding a small amount of content and a few bosses have never really added true 'new content', the only new ships have been behind the pieces of eight game play loop of taking islands during the seasons and spending all day collecting PO8, its not fun and not enjoyable and just makes you feel frustrated
What i was hoping for eventually was actual new and player friendly, non battle pass required content and ships, expand the map, add new factions, add larger class ships that are grind-able via the games core mechanics just like your first medium ship, which when Ur done, Ur pretty much done with the game besides a few mods and cannon add-ons
The game needs actual content, not monetary and battle pass content, putting everything behind a battlepass would be like wow increasing the max level and then saying you have to buy and finish a battlepass to go level in the new zone ( please no )
at this rate ubisoft will never release this game on steam, they are going to hide the player numbers till the end of time.
Skull and bones might find relative success and a player base, simply because ubisoft cant let it sink.Too much money envolved. This game must do something, so development will not stop no matter what.
So i actually reinstalled it last week. I took a day to grind for supplies to build a large ship. Now I'm enjoying the game. I have a rum and opium smuggling operation. I have a strong enough ship to take on forts and harder missions. I'm enjoying it for the time being
Skull and bones now we having AC shadows from ubisoft. They have fallen to the dark side real hard
Just brought the conplete ultimate edition. Game is okay but there's just so many bugs like it takes me hours to do a simple quest simply because the objectives will not spawn so even at the discount of winners sale, it's not worth it in my reality. It's fun! It would be a lot funner if it didn't take forever to go a thousand m and get an item that should just spawn and drop in 15 to 30 minutes
there so focused on profit they forget what there even making ship stamina ubisoft will never get a dime of my money
Got to love the haters.
When people talk of boredom, one supposes that they want what Sea Of Thieves offers. Which is not much.
I have been playing PvP online since the bad old days of dial up modems when there weren't even video cards yet. There were two that kind of created the paragdigms. Air Warrior and War Birds.
They offered Air Warfare on a grand scale . But the essential game was a three way "capture the flag" game, using only aircraft a few ground vehicles and a minor application of some troops to effect a capture with. They were fun. But that is as far as it got.
Boredom comes in when a game gets, "mechanical", or formulaic. All PvP long ago hit that with me. I quit playing PvP in that Venue. I was at that time playing a game that is still out there, Aces High. It's a flight sim with a three way capture the flag game tacked on to it. But, 11-11-11 Skyrim came out. I'd played Morrowind and Oblivion, but Skyrim set a new bar for repeat playability. It is very true of that game that no one character anyone creates will ever be able to play through that game the same way twice, ever, there are simply too many branching paths that close off other paths that can never be gotten back to.
Skull and Bones, has no real "path" at all. Repeat play is not the "thing" here, they wish to keep adding to the game each season. If you are Bored in this game it is not the fault of the Game. It is the player. This game requires one to think, and to plot, and to plan. Yes there is a huge amount of "BOOM! Just like an abscess!" in it. But you will not love this game if you don't love the processes involved in making your self wealth and building ships, and managing a fleet. Yes a FLEET. Mine is now 40 ships and they all have jobs to do.
Boring? Hardly. This game never gets boring for me. I am immersed in this world, and wish to see it grown. I really want to see India for example. I want a lot more of Scurlock and Rahmah.
This game needs no fixing. Players need to Play It. All of it. If you don't like it? Why did you spend the money on it?
Its REALLY funny how just two hours ago i was trying to find information on how many concurrent players skull and bones has because i never hear about it. And lo and behol' your video pops up. Thank you. I can see its as dead as i thought.
The game is more active than some try to suffocate with their pressumptions. And I play daily for hours, I see lots of activity as a matter of players
@@Beldea98 I just tried it for a few hours on the ubisoft subscription I got offered for free. That's one thing Ubisoft has done right recently, I can test this "AAAA" 8 years of slop for free.
It's far from dead. Every server I join is full. And that's at different times during the day and evening.
if ubisoft just made the same commitment to Division 2 which have a solid playerbase that is now dwindling due to lack of content, alot of roadmao shown but nothing materialized
99% of their devs are brainless monkeys who can't help with anything but with producing trash like this.
Idk why everyone is crying so much about it, everyone I met in game and in groups are active and love the game
I'm one of them. I've just bought it at 50% discount and can't keep off it. I think it's brilliant...
Same here. People just love jumping on bandwagons.
You know you’ve messed up when world of warships has better ship combat
I find the ship board constant yelling so bloody annoying. Like everyone is using megaphones in an echo chamber. The sound sucks so hard
How can you criticize this game without even trying it out properly? You should complete some missions and acquire new ships. Only then can you form a fair and informed opinion.
The ship has stamina that's how
Found a ubisoft burner account here
Bro they had black flag, update the graphics, make everyone black, job done.
I play it every day and I love Skull and Bones!!
assassin's creed odyssey on steam and i can say is way better on ship fighting than this game
This game would have been somewhat interesting about 10 years ago.
Hope you got sponsored because the fake excitement we see in this vid is not worth it otherwise
This game should have been Sea of Thieves with a triple a skin
Why are you complaing about the game? Ubisoft claims this game is a quadruple A title...
Skull and bones does have fast travel l
I’ll be fine. If there’s something wrong with it. What is boring to you? Just keep playing. And i’ll be fine. Well, one time I did. Just play it and get along with this game.
This Gane could've been amazing. But ubisoft screwed that up pretty bad.
They should’ve just made black flag (but pure pirates) the easiest home run ever
@@herbg4866 Agreed 👍
Should have made it a single player game.
How the heck do they spend this long making this game and then it looks worse than the game they based it off of??? God I hate games these days. Not everyone is into fantasy and fake looking crap.
It’s interesting to me how you can have negative things to say about the game when you haven’t even really played it. You’re only level 3 and haven’t hit max level or even tried end game content. I would bet you haven’t even finished the main story line. You haven’t even kept up with updates and you talk about the game like you know what’s going on. You’re misleading people by saying it’s a bad game.
It IS a bad game though...... I put 100hrs in because I kept telling myself it would get better and it never did, it just feels like an arcade game. Looks beautiful but it feels like garbage
@@Judged-Dread that’s like 4 days. But season 2 did get better. They change a lot about the end game and added main quests, ships, weapons, and furniture
I mean YOU are the minority here. People don't have to waste 100$ to find out that this game is bad.
Maybe the reason you don't like this game is b/c you suck at it. I mean, it was not good enough that I spent any money on it, but I at least learned how to play what they made.
hehehe... just checked and there's 90 players "total" right now ! :)
You guys seem to not understand at all that these games are made for money gains and as long as the young idiots buys them they will always release these games and not something like black flag style.
It's not bad it's addicting once u get into it.
"Addicting" doesn't mean "good".
Until you realize how repetitive it is. Don’t forget to wait real life hours for those manufacturers to finish resource crafting needed to sell and make money…. Like a mobile game
Cigarettes are also addicting
That doesn't make them good.
Nah man shits boring and lifeless. I‘d rather kill a great jagras 100 times over and over than grinding in this game
They had everything & they wrecked it in the worst way
Im in the mid of replaying Black Flag and wanted to check if the game is good now.....then in the first seconds i saw ships stamina.....and the ship just stopping in place when overloaded. This is the most lazy way of balancing i ever saw.Guess ill wait a little longer.
I was hoping for sea of thieves with a more "realistic" "grounded" theme, but the games okay i guess
The 1 year video 😮

What the hell is ship stamina? LOL. Part of me wants this game to work just so we have another fun multipler pirate game. But Ubisoft does what Ubiusoft does...
