  • So after opening this bag, and itemizing the contents which are advertised as at $320 worth of gear designed for winter use, not really sure it's actually any more useful for winter as any other of the BudK options but with the exception of 1 item here is the breakdown, overall despite the recent duplications I did enjoy this purchase and I think that it is a good launching pad in 1 purchase:
    M85 Ruck - $13.99
Swiss Army OD Wool Blanket - $39.99
    Black Legion Hatchet - $13.98
    Mess Kit - $22.99
    Utensils - $8.99
    Mini Glow sticks - $9.99
    Anti Shock Kit - $19.99
    Rechargeable Arc Lighter - $19.99
    Rigger Belt - $16.99
    Reflective Paracord - $14.99
    Blowgun - $16.99
    Darts 50 - $8.99
    Emergency Tent - $10.99
    Don't Tread on Me Knife - $3.98
    Poncho - $7.99
    Collapsible Light - $9.98
    Sharpener (missing stones) - $5.98
    Saw - $14.99
    First Aid Cards - $6.98
    Twist Razer (670-1 tool) - $9.99
Mini First Aid Kit - $8.99
    First Aid Pamphlet - $9.99
    Fire Bellow - $9.99
I was unable to find the price for the Bungees but if you look at prices of similar items in BudK so long as they are priced at 12.99 which I think is too much, but also too low for this company we did in fact cross $320. Overall I am pleased with this purchase there are a lot of holes from my previous ones that were filled in. If you have made it this far I would really appreciate you subscribing liking and sharing this video, again later this month there will be the November Mystery SHTF mystery box opening hope to see you there.

So quick little note, the sharpener was missing both the ceramic and carbide components and BudK has issues a replacement. This is a great company.

As a first time viewer, it would have been helpful if you had explained what the box is and where it came from. I started the video like I came in during the middle of the movie, with no idea what was going on. Also, if you want people to be interested in what you got, you should show everything. Finally, film in landscape orientation, rather than portrair mode. for better viewing experience.

Thank you for the input, yeah this was an early video, however the box is just an order and it was the Winter Bug Out Bag like in the title. I thought I had said that, but I will definitely be better in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting some helpful hints

Probably $100-150 USD value max. If you do some research you can build a PVC pipe frame for that ruck and triple the usefulness. For the listed price the tools are a bit sad.
An actual Mora is probably still about $20, a Fiskars hatchet should be about $30, an actual quality military style poncho should be about $30-40. The wire saws are universally terrible but an actual pocket chainsaw (with saw teeth) should be about $20 as well.
I am spitballing the prices mind you, based on exchange rates from USD to CAD.

I was going to say pretty much the same thing. If I paid more than $150 for that stuff I would kick my own a** if possible. I buy stuff from BUDK every now and then but the quality of most of their stuff is not so good. I stick to the BOGO items and get stuff that looks ok from there. But for that box of stuff I really wouldn’t pay over $100 for. Trailblazer stuff is usually total junk.

For the most part I enjoy watching these vids. I think budk prices are high in comparison to other gear at the same price but slightly better quality. The cost of this gear was never stated or perhaps I missed it? Take care, thx for sharing.

Yeah I usually post the prices in the description, as finding the actual BudK prices sometimes I have to search the actual code. Thanks for the comment I'll try and make some adjustments

Sucks bro. Great vid though. Its just that all that stuff is cheaper quality than Ozark Trail Walmart stuff and would total to about $40-$50 at Wally World. Great vid though.

    Question for the "bugout" people
Bugout to where? What's your plan to get by after the first few days when your bag supplies run out? When your fantasies of killing off all the competition are all played out are you going to start in on your fellow preppers?

    • @crazytexan7532
      @crazytexan7532  5 місяців тому

Well any well thought out prepped actually has a more extensive plan personally for me the idea of a bug out bag is more of a 72 hour bag it's only designed for the first 3 days anyway, but the lone wolf prepper is doomed anyway, a great number of us are actually is community type groups so that we can pull together. Also many of us have places to buy out too, that is actually a very good question, the bag is more of a point a to point b and very very few of us have the fantasy of killing off competition. That is just click bait type thinking.

Dude you could have gone to Walmarts and spent half of what that cost ya and been better off. That is a good knife you have, a Gerber Prodigy I have the Strongarm they're both very good knives .

ok so where's the winter gear? the blanket maybe. i would not give $320 for that. in fact i would not want that. just a bunch of cheap useless junk imo. sorry

    • @crazytexan7532
      @crazytexan7532  Рік тому

No need to say sorry, yeah I was also wondering about the "winter" aspect myself, now granted the cost was like 200 and even at that it is questionable, and no I definitely would not spend the 320 on this stuff, a lot of this stuff I honestly would not purchase, but sometimes I find stuff that I would not buy that actually is useful, not necessarily from this company but sometimes they surprise me. Thanks for the honest input

Unfortunately its a pure scam. Id rather spend 200-300 on 2 excellent pieces of gear like a gränsfors axe, a quality trauma kit, a better bag or a godly shelter system
