4500 times live
ua-cam.com/video/xWxzSzSJfkQ/v-deo.htmlsi=m97-mmbecOus2ix_
Absolutely loved your journey through some, but only some, of the Quo classics over the past couple of months. Keep it going my friend, your enthusiasm for something so many of us who have loved Quo for decades is infectious and your discovery has been a joy to watch time after time.
In the 70s, the concert version was 20 + minutes long.
The crowd was bouncing, sweating, and it was wonderful, but it was like that all throughout the whole gig.
Wonderful times, and so lucky to have seen them live many, many times
85 Milton keynes bowl ,no better ticket for any gig that year than that one
I saw that live too in the 70s.
First at Bridlington Spa.
Get the idea and vibe of that if you listen to Quo Live 70s Album
4500 wonderful times from my 1st Quo gig in my teens in 77
The original Quo was one of the best bands ever!
Another American here who discovered them in 2014. Nobody better.
Hi AQ, VFC here! 👋
🎸🎸🥁🎸
@@LostieQuest Hey buddy! I'm still out here trying to tell the world about Quo.
@@WilliamAlanWebb ..You guys deserve a chance to get into Quo. What a complete travesty. Poor management & no airplay cost Quo state side. Spread the word. Britains greatest live band.
@@markburleyemmerson1373 I am an evangelist now, Mark. I have most of their songs memorized, even the solo stuff.
Brit here, one of the best British rocking bands. Anyone who has an album called 'Piledriver' says it all!
I love your reaction I started following Status Quo in 1971 aged 11 years old I still love them and I’m about to turn 63 years old.Seen them many times live no matter how down you are turn on the Quo and all your problems disappear 🇬🇧
I have spent the day watching Americans filming their reaction to hearing Quo for the first time. Greatest day ever.
Great reaction to a Quo classic.Francis Rossi is the lead guitarist. Really pleased your getting into and enjoying Quo.Have seen them many times and they have been a huge part of my musical life for years.Keep going on the catalogue you won't be disappointed. Love from the UK
Yes, Francis' solo's are really underrated, half irish and half italian as he is, you can sure hear that in the start.
Yea agreed.Him and Rick really complimented each other within the songs over the years
Yes do 4500 times live from the end of the road tour Milton Keynes 1984.
You could also react to Slow Train, Hold You Back, Burning Bridges for pure fun boogie 😁🎸🎹🎵
Burning Bridges 😂
@@filip_sss1 Burning Bridges one of their best songs!
@@michaelkarlsson5966nah not really. Its just a jig not really a quo song. Rossi took hold by then
Better, listen to the Glasgow Apollo soundtrack from 1975. FF forever
ua-cam.com/video/u7ldPbKFZQg/v-deo.htmlsi=IvNpbFPSsWXRwbBF
Lucky to have seen them many times and never disappointed.
4500 time's live is amasing!
Next one the full version of Mystery Song!!!
I think we can safely say you are now enrolled in the Quo Army!!!
You really wanna hear it “Live”
But I fear you’ll have a heart attack 😂.
Mr Rock and Roll and Status Quo, the best combination on UA-cam. Thanks it!!!
That was recorded with the band sat in a circle in one room. Now thats how you record. Pure genius !!
You need to do the review of the whole LIVE album all of it- you will love it - but suggest you wear a neck brace!
So glad you have discovered or originally recommended Status Quo. They are such an iconic band back in the 1970's. Everyone in the UK knew of Status Quo, even if they didn't know or like their songs.
Fantastic reaction, we see what we feel, when we hear Status Quo !!!
Great review of a great song, the live version is so much better and so much longer too. Go for it 🤟
Can I suggest you have a listen to a track from the Quo album, a song called Slow Train. It’s quite long but you won’t regret it, raw heavy boogie all the way through.
When you do the live version. It HAS to be Milton Keynes' end of the road. Rock on 👌
You mean this one? I was actually at this show - one of 43 times I've seen them
ua-cam.com/video/w9H-mkGhpt0/v-deo.htmlsi=cVzxm14_LIDVI41o
4500 times from End of the road is a must, as is the 91 studio version from rock til you drop album.
The Quo, makes you proud to be British.
😀
Been waiting for this one!!! So happy that you love them 😊❤
The greatest driving tune of all time 4500 times. Got to see the originals back in the day. Will you welcome the no1 RnR in the land the magnificent Status Quo!!!
70's Quo killed any band in front of them.....
Definitely
Even Rush. Got upset 🤣
There were a couple of famous bands that willingly refused to play with the mighty Quo.
@@Signofevil_Smile4theCam I went to a concert that Quo were headlining and the WHO went in a huff and didn't turn up :)
The "LIVE" Double album from 1977 LIVE at The Apollo Glasgow has the 4500 Times version that goes for 16 mins and 43 seconds.
That would blow Mr.Rock n Roll's mind.
Man you make me smile when you listen to the mighty quo 😊
Status Quo are the best. Seen them 6 times live since 1975!
Have you not seen the 22 minute live version of this on video.
I use it to do a 10 mile cycle run in the gym. The greatest piece of live rock you will see this year!
RIP Rick Parfitt, the greatest rhythm guitarist EVER!🌹
This song is just awesome live. Quo Live version is a belter. Loving your QUO reactions big man. Takes me back to my youth when I was able to experience them live and also buy these albums in their release. So many memories you bringing back. Love and respect from Glasgow Scotland ❤
Got to be the End of the Road live version at Milton Keynes 1984.
Over 50 years old, still sounds Epic. How lucky we were.
Very excited for this one!
I have heard this song 4500 times. And I will listen to it 4500 times more.
Same :)
Love your Quo reactions 🤘🎸, Drifting Away , Softer Ride and Is there a better way are absolute bangers
I love your
reaction you remind me of how me and my pal reacted to 45 hundred times in his bedroom back in the early 70s
Just fantastic from a lifelong Quo fan , Mr Rock N Roll the best channel on you tube just makes you happy with his reaction 😂
For me this is the Holy Grail of Quo, but live is 4500 times better. The End of the Road tour in 1984 at Milton Keynes is the best version. I was actually listening to this song today, live & loud. The only way to listen to Quo. I have been a fan since I was 12 & am approaching 63. Best concerts I have ever been to.
This reaction to one of the best songs from my all time fav band Absolutely made my day..Francis Rossi is just Brilliant. Hugely underrated. Many Thanks.
check out their live performance of this at The Milton Keynes Bowl on 21st July 1984.You will never hear/see a better live performance. If you can only achieve 50% of that with your band, you will be a total rock & roll hero.
Hello! first, greetings from finland. you have done amazing reaction videos and i am very glad that you have found STATUS QUO!! You have to do rection video for this song in LIVE! There is many comments that "do 1984 live version of 4500 times" . I Agree!!! it is Crazy!!
4500 times I must've listened to this gem..quotastic
You must watch 4500 times from the end of the road tour ..Milton Keynes..
Your head won't take it..😂..
I was there by the way........I saw it live..
Quo were before ACDC.
Funny how they never Billed together. I think it would have been Quality..
@iangillon6981 if I'm correct Bon Scott and his band Fraternity supported them in the 70's. I got to see both DC and Quo. But Quo for me were the better live band.
Another great review of my all time favourite band. I am 63 and I've been into these guys since I was 11. You really need to check out the live version from the End of the Road tour, it still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up and put a lump in my throat. Incredible playing by Rossi and Co.
This was Quo at their very very very very best! God l miss those days! Before they became their own tribute band
4500 times live from the end of the road tour Milton Keynes 1984, is the one to react to, you will be blown away!
This is one of the very few songs where I would choose the live version over studio. Specifically, "Quo Live" from 1976.
absolute tune takes me right back to my late teens
Same :)
please listen to the original live version from the Apollo Glasgow in the 70s it will blow your mind
Their Glasgow live album they do this live! Fkin awesome!
That is the one mate :) Was just thinking that..
Find the 1982 live at the NEC LIVE version. It will blow your mind.
I nearly forget how smooth(tame?) the studio recording sounds 😅
The anticipation that intro builds if you know what is coming is just crazy 🎉
Almost sounds live, yet silky smooth..
Yes more Quo please!
Please play the full version of 4500 Times live (about 22 minutes long ) 😀👍🏻
I love your channel mate.
The only long songs I’ll listen to are Let There be Rock Live, Free Bird, Life’s Been Good (Joe Walsh), some blues songs, and now…..I have this 🔥
Shout out to the “My Brain Holes” days!
One of THE greatest Quo songs ever. brilliant.
Brilliant I think have seen quo live 4500 times, please let's have the live version
Slow Train……………Railroad…………….Mystery Song
Great following there.. and also RAIN.:!
Love it, you must listen to slow train.
Great reaction, as a hard-core Quo fan it's really nice to see other people appreciate their music. You should definitely check out Mystery Song from their album Blue for You (listen to the extended album version not the single version).
Your videos pop up again and again, they are always fun to watch because you have the same enthusiasm that I had the first time I listened to StaytusKwo back when I was a teenager in the 70s. It's a shame that UA-cam didn't exist, and that the way the music biz in the states was set up Quo didn't make it Stateside, they certainly put in the shows, which went down well, they supported the likes of Skynyrd and ZZTop. Keep the faith and spread the word brother.
I'm going to watch this...4500 Times. Please do live!! Big Up :)
A monster of a track that easily could take up one side of an album😊😊, with Francis and Rick it was telepathic Telecasters. Those guitars spoke to each other and counted out Anna 1,Anna 2,Anna 3 , Anna 4
I am a self-confessed Quo fanatic, ever since I first heard Piledriver & On the Level in the mid-70’s when I was 14 (I am now a young 62). I have seen them perform live from the original Frantic Four to present line up, simply awesome. Mr Rock & Roll I just love your reviews of Quo’s work and your appreciation of how good they really are. It’s hard to pick a best album out of the classics Dog of Two Head, Quo, Piledriver, Hello, Blue for You & On the Level not forgetting the greatest live album ever Quo Live at the Apollo, Glasgow. You have a great channel. More Quo please, how about Mystery Song?
I saw the mighty Quo live once and I was like you when I saw them that time live, I like to see you and your band cover this
Great song from a great band
Brilliant track from a brilliant album. BUT, as many have told you, you have to hear the live versions, particularly from the live album and End of The Road tour. For a better (believe it or not) studio version, the Rock til you drop album version is magnificent. Simply awesome!
Definitely live but older version of the band.
Others we would recommend
Gerdundula
Roadhouse blues
What your purposing
Mystery song
Rain
Slow train
Break the rules
Live of course
Don't waste my time
Soooooo glad you like the Quo , seen them over 50 times . They were my childhood heroes, and still are 😊
Brilliant review as always. Hello, Quo’s 1st UK no’1 album in 1973. 4500 x classic Quo & always fantastic live. Mr Rock n roll you MUST review this track LIVE from MILTON KEYNES BOWL 1984 in front of 50,000 members of the Quo army. Awesome 👍..There’s also a fantastic 13 minute re recording of 4500x on the 1991 studio album Rock til’ you drop! 🎸
In fact, the whole of their Glasgow Quo Live album is worth listening to. If you ain’t got the album in your collection, get it man! It’s the sound of my youth!
My Dad got me it for Xmas..:)
A long one? The studio version runs for approximately 9 minutes, (if memory serves me right), whereas there are live versions that last 20+ minutes! They did re-record this song in 1991 for their, 'rock til you drop', album, that was kind of a studio version of the live version, which was quite interesting!
The 1973, 'Hello!', album is arguably one of their best and has some great deep-cuts including, 'Softer Ride', 'Reason For Living', 'Blue-eyed Lady', as well as, 'Roll Over Lay Down.' On the slightly softer side there's always, 'Claudie.' At this juncture, the band would have a lot of long instrumental parts to their songs. Especially the last track on the album, which 4500 times is.
'Slow train', from the 1974, 'Quo', album would be a great one to do.
The lead guitarist is Francis Rossi. The rhythm guitarist is Rick Parfitt, who was also the vocalist in the main part of this song. Alan Lancaster is the bassist and John Coghlan is the drummer.
Great video. The live version of 4500 Times from the NEC 1982 gig is over 20 minutes long and is even better than this recording, and this is great.
The solos in the live version borrow from two earlier paired Quo songs, Is It Really Me / Gotta Go Home. The Beat Club version of those is over 27 minutes long, and for 24 minutes of those, there is no let up in the tempo.
One of my favourite Quo tracks. It's a real showtopper live. Listen to/watch the 1982 NEC version and the Milton Keynes 84 version. Your mind will be blown. I was at MK.
I was born listening to Quo !!! So wonderful to see your fabulous reactions !!! I’ve seen them all over the UK ,,, I once got Rick to stand still so that I could take a pic 👍🏼 not an easy thing to do xxx
I'm going to send you something for your wall, you're now in the Quo army, although you still have another million tracks to hear :)
I’m a Brit quo fan and you made me smile a hell of a lot.
@mr. Rocknroll @4:38 just for your info. This record and all from Piledriver - Blue for you have been recorded live in the studio. No multiple track recording.
They carried the whole stage gear into the studio, rehearsed until the live sound was replicated and recorded it. Rocking all over the world was the first lp they used a producer. It was the beginning of the end!
t's nice to see how the Americans love this British rock. Honest, played from the heart. It's a shame they never got the recognition they deserve in America
Status Quo draaien is een fijn muziek 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🐚🐚🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🐚🐚🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🐚🐚🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🐚🐚🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🐚🐚🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🐚🐚🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Play " Little Lady " from" On The Level " album it's a real thumper , you'll love it , cheers 🇦🇺🎸
I remember the poster with the album. Black and white. They looked cool as fuck, scruffy and mean. What a band!!!
I remember a Status Quo gig in Amsterdam in 1977. This song was also played and if the audience wasn't crazy yet.........it was completely crazy then. And I was there :-)
This is top top stuff from the Quo , live one is a must see tho
I first noticed them when they played Live Aid... I knew the song 'Pictures Of Matchstick Men' (which I liked)...but did not connect it to the band I saw at Live Aid. I thought they were great then. Several years go by, and I saw them again when the Knebworth 1990 festival aired on MTV. I was blown away again, and decided to go ahead and dive into these guys. I've been a big fan since.
4500 live version OMG! The best ever!
Dude if you want to do the live version, I recommend the 1984 Milton Keynes Bowl video, 17 minutes of rock n roll excellence
Wait to you hear the live version dude, it knocks thie stuidio version for 6 and carry's on for up to 20 minutes. Check out the version from 1984 End Of The Road tour. Also if you like this you will go mental for the song SLOW TRAIN from the Quo album.
Listen to Don't waste my time, and 4500 times live. Hello from London England
Ce titre est simplement magique. Je l'ai écouté des centaines de fois et je ne m'en suis jamais lassé !
Your reaction to this absolute Quo classic, is roughly the same as mine back in the 1970s when I first heard it!
Who remembers Deeside leisure centre. The venue was an ice rink. Headbanging to 20 mins of the best driving tune in history!!!!!!
Another 20 minutes? Listen to the Milton Keynes live version!!
In my chair my favourite Quo song ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😊
This is the original version off the Hello album and it's brilliant
The best version is definitely live. search for status quo gig called end of the road tour, the version from the tour will blow your mind into a ablivian.
But as allways brilliant reaction vid.
Alan Lancaster playing his Bass like a lead with Rossi at 08.33
Les meilleurs...❤
The Quo live version will drive you CRAZY
Personally I think the 1991 studio version is the GOAT when it comes to ‘Forty-Five Hundred Times’. The energy and production on that version is outstanding and puts the classy original to shame to be honest. Some of the live versions extend to 23 minutes which are spectacular but, in my opinion, can start to drag a little bit, whereas the 91 version is just 12 minutes of bottled up explosive rock and roll with fantastic production. It’s all a game of opinions of course.
This comment is absolutely spot on
Exactly right. Everything is just louder and heavier on the 91 version.
Yep! Mr R&R's brain will explode when he listens to the 1991 version. His whole body will explode when he listens to the original frantic four LIVE version!
The 1991 version you speak of, is from the RTYDrop album.
I think most QUO fans would agree it was their best album since 1981's NTLate.
RTYDrop is produced by The Ant-Quo, Francis Rossi.
It is a full-bodied sounding album.
Can we get into a Time Machine and go back to 1977 and get Rossi to give the same Production treatment to the weak and timid RAOTWorld album.
I love forty-five hundred times version on bootlegs ”Live in Lyon” from ”Blue for yuo tour
I think recording has miss end of the track
As others have said have a listen to the End Of The Road version from Milton Keynes, it will blow you away. Also Slow Train from the Quo album, absolute stormer of a song. Give them a listen. Rock ON.
Quo were an unstoppable juggernaut back in the day😊you felt like you'd run a marathon after a Quo gig😂
The live version is awesome!
