Wow, the end result is gorgeous!!! The clours really worked well together.
Thank you!
I’m floored by this paint too. It is amazing!!!
On sanding, please remind all, little to no pressure on the sander. Let the sander do the work. Heavy pressure will damage a surface
That color is stunning!
Thanks it really is a pretty color
Great video! Thank you for sharing your findings. Gorgeous piece 💕
What a beautiful finish and color!
Yay! It really did look super smooth! That color is beautiful! Love how supportive you are with other artists Kim! Excited to try LilyMoon Paint! 🥰
It is so smooth! I didn’t know what to expect, it completely exceeded my expectations! Can’t wait to try more colors! 🥰
Very pretty blue.
I love the blue with the Kona.
I learn so much from you. I needed those veneer tips. Sadly, I have burned through the edges of a veneer top. 😩
Thank you for watching! We have all done it! :(
Thank you for the added tips on veneer. It is tricky, for sure. I need more patience with it! LOL I have burned through several times. The paint is beautiful! :)
Like always I learn so much. Thanks for showing how it works with brushing. Beautiful colour.
Your so welcome - thank you for watching 😀
I’m definitely going to have to try out their paint! Thanks for the tips on sanding veneer. Your makeover was beautiful!
Thank you so much! It is soooo good. I can’t wait to try spraying it, although the finish with a brush looks sprayed, it levels so nicely.
This is Fabulous Kim. Thank you for sharing this new Paint Line. Turned out beautiful as all your work does.😍
You bet! Thank you!
OMG yes! The edges of the veneer are almost always the thinest parts. I'm not gonna lie, I tend to do the edges first. That way if I screw it up I didn't waste all my time sanding the whole piece. :D
I love your reviews. That blue went beautifully with Kona.
Thank you so much! This blue is so nice
Table turned out gorgeous!
Thank you! 😀
Beautiful piece,,,,
Thank you! 😀
Beautiful beautiful finish on the table! If I missed it I apologize, but where would I go to find the paint brushes and especially this beautiful paint?
Thank you. Yes in the show notes I always put that information as well as any discount codes I have! 😀
Hi Kim
I’m just wondering how the embellishment in the middle of the table stayed that light color once you put the stain on?
This table turned out beautiful!
Hi! Just the nature of the wood species. It is wood veneer - therefore made with several different types of wood and each wood species will take stain different.
Is this paint Similar to Silk Line Where there's a top coat built in?.the few videos I've seen Her paint seems to Be Superb and smooth ..
And so Far I've seen Soo many beautiful colors ...also with the New stains she has...so Just the only main question I have does the paint have a top coat built in ...thank you as your reviews are always very informative and honest ..thank you so much..you're amazing 🥰👍
No it is a beautiful finish but it doesn’t have a built on top coat - she says it’s a durable finish on its own! Thank you so much and thank you for watching and the support! ❤️
@@BorninaBarnBoutique thank you so much ❣️
Hi with a dark piece like this how did you know that you would not get bleeds? Some people recommend never to skip on primer? I’m a newbie
You don’t have to prime every piece. I recommend priming when going white or very light over cherry, mahogany, or oaks. Also this piece was a wood veneer, which typically aren’t bleeders and I was going with a darker color so I was not too concerned.
Can you buy this paint on the website? There are no retail places near me (PA) that carry this paint?
Yes absolutely - and you may use my discount code as well - Borninabarn10
What was the color of this paint?? Love it!
Night Sky - If you click on the show notes I always list the details 😀 I have a discount code as well for it - BORNINABARN10
Thank you!!
Did you seal the paint? If so what did you use. I think you said it was a chalk.
I did not. I talk about that in the video, it is not required, it is a chalk like paint, with a matte like finish like chalk, but this formula doesn’t require a topcoat, it’s optional. I recommend sealing high traffic pieces though. The next video will feature me spraying the paint and sealing too 😀
This paint has a built in top coat but you never talked about a primer and you didn’t use a primer. Is this not recommended for any of the colors?
This paint - the mineral line of Lilly moon paint does not have a built in topcoat, it does have an adhesion primer in it. Priming is not necessary for every piece - There are 3 reasons to prime:
Block bleed through - use a Stain Blocker
Better Adhesion (for laminate, Formica, slick surfaces) - use a Bonding Primer
For coverage: to cut down on coats of paint priming will give you better coverage.
If you want a paint with built in stainblocking primer and topcoat - try their opulent line that came out earlier this year.
