Coming back to this sketch nearly 11 years later, I'd love to see them take on more shows that have come out since then. Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead? Hell, all of Netflix's and every other Streaming Service Original show is worthy of it's own sketch in this vein.
I miss you guys so much, I watch old videos all the time and miss your live streams more than anything!!! omg I miss the gaming live streams, I wish those were still up to watch lol. Hope you guys are doing well and doing what you love
Welcome Back, Kotter and the Dukes of Hazzard are my two favorites. Especially the Dukes of Hazzard. 1969 Dodge Charger flying through the air? HELL YES.
After all these years and rewatching it a hundred times I just realized that at 5:05 Fafa is calling everybody from the A-Team by their Nickname from the show but Mr. T with his real name instead of B.A. :'D
Yeah, the story was that his name was Theodore, but when he was born his brother Wally couldn't say "Theodore," so he called him "Beaver" instead, and it stuck.
I almost unsubbed about a month ago (no idea why), but convinced myself to watch one more video. I can't remember exactly which video but it made me smile ear to ear, and really that was the first smile I'd had all day. Love you guys!!
Yes this is my television experience (mostly) and I grew up in Australia. The song is AMAZING and I love your Batman and Robin song. Those were the days indeed
This is fantastic! I noticed, however, that Fafa and Mario missed some of the classic series like Gilligan's Island, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Rifleman, The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, The Waltons, Home Improvement, M*A*S*H, Columbo, Everybody Loves Raymond, High Chaperal, The Desert Rats, Hogan's Heroes, The Andy Griffith Show, Mr. Ed, The Jetsons, Tour of Duty, and the various Star Wars spin off series.... does this mean that you're going to make History of Television 2?:) Great job and keep up the good work.
You should have included: "I Spy", the first show to be shot in exotic locations "South Park" was a big deal, saving Comedy Central from being a failed network SNL - launched so many careers and characters Sopranos - the first of many drama shows that really gave premium channels a boost Doctor Who - longest running Sci-Fi series MTV - back in the 80s it was a big deal to see music videos on TV
+John Lathan "I Spy", the first show to be shot in exotic locations: I don't know, it had that catch to it, I'm not sure, however, if that catch was more ground breaking than simply a way to be distinctive among so many spy/agent TV shows. "South Park" was a big deal, saving Comedy Central from being a failed network: It was still, just simply a more raunchy The Simpsons. However, I do think it helped in making certain topics less taboo over all on TV...so sure, I'll overall agree with this one. "SNL - launched so many careers and characters": If we're sticking simply to the golden age of SNL in the early 80s, the silver age in the early '90s and the brief revival in '02-'05 yes. However, every other period of SNL sucked. This video did include The Simpsons even though that show has a rocky history, so overall, yes, SNL should have been added. "Sopranos - the first of many drama shows that really gave premium channels a boost": Agreed, though OZ was first. "Doctor Who - longest running Sci-Fi series": Agreed. Omission made more egregious by their inclusion of Star Trek. They might have cut it out because they were focusing on American television, but Doctor Who is overall influential enough to overlook that. "MTV - back in the 80s it was a big deal to see music videos on TV": That's a network and it seems they were focusing on simply TV shows. A big oversight, though, was An American Family, Excusable, but the omission of it makes the exclusion of The Real World but addition of Jersey Shore really glaring. Jersey Shore was the direct result of The Real World being successful, which was heavily influenced by An American Family. Making Jersey Show appear out of no where when every other show they've covered was scripted doesn't exactly make sense. I say this, but I really enjoyed the video lol your comment just made me realize they did omit some shows that should be there, namely Sopranos, Doctor Who and some influential (for good or for ill) reality shows.
Have you seen it lately..preachy and they liked the enemy over their own soldiers. As I got older I went from love with this show...to realizing that most of it was just pre p.c Crap...but I still like to watch it. Has good episodes
To everyone who wrote "Hey You forgot X" Have any of you considered how freaking long we'd be here if they included every single show everyone ever liked. Or that these are the shows the team at Glove and Boots like personally?
Has anyone considered just how ambitious someone has to be to try and sum up "The History of Television" in less than 7 minutes? I don't think it can be done.
There's one major, major oversight. The show that popularised the trend of serial tv-shows (that is one story over several episodes), gave TV a more sinister tone and laid the groundwork for everything from Dexter and Breaking Bad to Mad Men. I'm talking, of course, of The Sopranos
Loved seeing Trek and The A-Team. Oddly, a lot of people seem to forget about the latter, even though it was wildly popular at home and abroad (although never with NBC's own execs.)
This was cool, but given you guys are a puppet blog, could you do a history of puppet television? I love Jim Henson, but it'd be nice to see others that got the spotlight like Charlie McCarthy.
Do another one of these with other big shows like MASH, Cheers, South Park, Jackass, Spongebob Squarepants, Family Guy, House, Glee, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and maybe Pokemon (it was and still is a pretty big deal for America).
Crystalvampire66 Yeah, the movie wasn't that good a representation. If you get Netflix, they have it. Not sure if it is instant play or not, but I watched it from the disks.
101jir I liked the movie. There's some fond memories there. I'll check out the show when I have some time. Hopefully it's on Canadian Netflix. Which is like American Netflix but with less options.
Crystalvampire66 It was okay, but other than maybe a vague introduction to the characters (in the show they aren't so much sinister as much as they are crazy) you will find the series to be practically a new experience.
Also we would have to be forced with memes about the kid. Do you want to hear people saying "Dicks out for (insert name of kid here)! He was innocent!"
Riz Vicious there’s only so many shows that they have to do so calm down and be grateful geez, they put so much time and effort into a video and you complaining about a 6 second gag that they would do
Coming back to this sketch nearly 11 years later, I'd love to see them take on more shows that have come out since then. Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead? Hell, all of Netflix's and every other Streaming Service Original show is worthy of it's own sketch in this vein.
Sorry to break this to you, but I don't think they will.
@@penguinagents2015 why not
@@xtcyrafa Because they're finished.
@@penguinagents2015 why:(
@@xtcyrafa The guy who played Fafa moved away. They're not doing stuff anymore. Or at least not for the foreseeable future.
Remember kids. This channel died because the algorithm was too stupid to understand how good the content was and stopped showing it to everyone.
I mean not so much in the last couple years, when they got rid of anything potentially edgy and made bland kids' content
I can put lyrics to Gorilla's rendition of Star Trek:
This show -
It takes place in space-
It had Bill Sha-ha-hat-ner
He milked every scene he was in!
Star Trek!
It takes place in space!
Aboard the Starship Enterprise!
I would love to watch a Gorilla version of Jersey Shore! It would be ten times as entertaining and ten times as intelligent.

I see what you did there! :)

I hope you guys understand that even if you guys never took off in a massive way, videos like this still make me happy every time I see it.
As a huge TV/Pop culture nerd, this is just freaking amazing.
It's amazing how well these old videos hold up. I know they likely won't come back, but I can dream.
5:16 I literally died laughing... I never expected Mario to crank out such a voice like that 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
R.I.P
They have a video on this channel called "fix your grammer" that insults people like you
+Mees Banning Well then I guess I'm literally a little illiterate ;D
Mees Banning Oh, and you spelled grammar wrong. You spelled it with an 'e' rather than an 'a'.

Very nostalgic and enjoyable. I saw all the 60s 70s and early 80s shows repeated in the early 90s. Those were the days indeed
