- Venice in Italy is commonly known. In our cinematic travel video we show the most beautiful places along the Canal Grande in Venice, Italy. Venice is really unique and beautiful and our cinematic travel video guide will show its beauty. We visited Venice in 2020. The City of Venice was quite empty and very chilled - completely without cruise ships and relatively deserted. In October we spent two nights in the lagoon city of Venice and can only recommend to everyone to stay overnight in the city. This is the only way to admire the sunrise on St. Mark's Square or from the Ponte dell’Accademia with a wonderful view along the Grand Canal towards the Church of Santa Maria della Salute.
In addition to strolling through the narrow streets, we highly recommend to take the water bus through the Canal Grande - with a day ticket one ride is very cheap, you get around quickly and you see a lot. Those who want it more comfortable or private can also do one of the famous gondola rides - but for us that was not the right thing.
Other well-known sights are the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace and what we think the most beautiful view over Venice: the one from the bell tower of the San Giorgio Maggiore Church.
We think Venice is the perfect travel destination for 2021.

Venedig in Italien kennen die meisten. Die schöne Stadt Venedig und ihre Sehenswürdigkeiten am Canal Grande und der berühmte Markusplatz sind einzigartig und wunderschön. In unserem Reisebericht zeigen wir die schönsten Plätze in Venedig und laden zum fernträumen ein. So wie wir Venedig 2020 gesehen haben kennen aber Venedig vermutlich nur die wenigsten. Und zwar ziemlich leer und chillig - ganz ohne Kreuzfahrtschiffe und relativ menschenleer. Wir haben im Oktober 2020 zwei Nächte in der Lagunenstadt verbracht und können jedem nur empfehlen direkt in der Stadt zu übernachten. Nur so kann man den Sonnenaufgang am Markusplatz oder von der Ponte dell’Accademia mit wunderschönen Blick dem Canal Grande entlang bis zur Kirche Santa Maria della Salute bewundern.
Neben dem Schlendern durch die engen Gassen ist es sehr zu empfehlen mit dem Wasserbus durch die Kanäle zu fahren - das ist mit einem Tagesticket sehr günstig, sehr schnell und man sieht dabei eine Menge. Wer es gemütlicher und privater haben möchte kann auch einige der unzählig angebotenen berühmten Gondelfahrten machen - für uns persönlich war das aber nicht das richtige.
Weitere sehr bekannte Sehenswürdigkeiten in Venedig sind die Rialtobrücke, der Markusdom und Dogenpalast und die unserer Meinung nach schönste Aussicht in Venedig: Der Glockenturm der San Giorgio Maggiore Kirche.
Aktuell bietet sich Venedig perfekt als Reiseziel für 2021 an.

Yeah Italy is great - we love it there every time (it's not to far from our home so it's easy to get there) but if 2020 wasn't 2020 we would instead make another big road trip through the US - with destinations we didn't visit so far such as the Havasupai Canyon and ones we just briefly visit a long time ago as Yosemite. We will see what the future brings but we are happy for you that you got the chance to travel around there - very excited where you will head after Death Valley. Fantastische Aufnahmen von Venedig und klasse Editing mit phänomenalen und sehr kreativen Schnittübergängen. Ich war schon so lange nicht mehr dort. Euer Video macht wieder richtig Lust auf einen Kurztrip dorthin. 2020 war bestimmt die beste Gelegenheit die Stadt mal etwas beschaulich zu erleben. Ein kleiner Tipp - keine Links in den Kommentaren setzen, sonst wandern die Kommentare immer in den Spam. Zu deiner Frage: Wir verwenden Final Cut X zum schneiden der Videos. Die kostenlose Variante davon ist iMovie, welche jedoch einige Einschränkungen bietet. Nachteil bei beiden - man braucht einen Mac.

Go for it! We visited Venice both as a child or teenager - and we were completely stunned how cool this place really is - we thought it was a bit hyped but it is really great - hopefully it will be so in the future. :-)

Yeah - but Rome is different and great too. We like Italy very much and have the advantage that it's really close to our home. But yeah we hope you get the chance someday - it' s great. :-)
