When I go to the beach I take my Aloe plant with me and break off a piece to put into the refrigerator. When I enjoy the sunbathing-- maybe too long I rub the cold Aloe piece on my burnt skin and it feels so wonderful . The next morning there is no pain and most of the time no redness. Great Plant.
