I'm rewatching the show, and I just want to let you guys know that you did a fantastic job explaining why the Dodgers are not ruining baseball. Great takes from all of you. You should clip it off so that haters can find it and view it and, hopefully, learn something.
I was in and out of the live but I'm rewatching the entire thing on Monday morning. Great content as usual, guys. I even enjoyed Matthew's complaining about Disney 😂
As a Dodgers fan from/in Pittsburgh, people here have always accused bigger markets of ruining the pirates. Its just not true. The pirates are the only reason the pirates are terrible lol
I think a lot of the vitriol aimed at the Dodgers from fans comes from the fact that a lot of people genuinely do _not_ understand how this stuff works, and that it is to the advantage of the owners that they remain in the dark. Any billionaire can fund a fantastic team, but you do not become a billionaire without also being a miserly sociopath. These guys made billions by being greedy SOBs and they aren't going to stop any time soon, even if it wins them massively in PR and ROI. Jim Bowden is in the business of claiming to be the smartest baseball guy in the room, and because the Sasaki thing has made him look like the moron he is, he's using his connections to try to smear the contract, get a little scandal on the Dodgers like the Ippei thing last year. The fact is, there already was an investigation by MLB, and the Dodgers were clean, so he can't get a do-over.
Watching this late, but good grief the humor was on point! 🤣 Like, had me lol-ing every 30 seconds. One of the best streams in a while. Thanks guys. This offseason has been pretty dang fun.
To quote a famous line from the late great George Carlin regarding the Haters out there saying that the Dodgers are ruining baseball, "Like I give a Shit!"🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fans are just projecting their frustrations with “their own teams” lack of spending! I like what the dodgers are doing and I’m a brave fan, now the one issue that feels icky is all the deferred $$, I do believe mlb will cap deferred $ as a result of this 🤷🏼♂️
Cap will only help owners make more money. Players union will fight it and strike. Players should be able to get what the market will bear. Most fans that want a cap have cheap owners that don't care about winning.
I'm sooo glad the Dodgers didn't get sucked into Soto. Wgat sn albatross that's going to be. Haha! That was the Dodgers 2nd best offseason move. Best move was everything else besides Soto
how good a fit would Gunner Henderson be with Dodgers as shortstop? Would love to see Dodgers pursue him next season and continue to spend during this 3-5year window.
Shohei Ohtani not broke MLB historical records but established them in his first year with the Dodgers. And beating the Yankees in the World Series was the ultimate ending ti the season. Did you watch the end of the World Series where they ended it with a movie style credits at the end? Yeah, they’re will be nothing that can top 2024
I've been a baseball fan since I was a kid. I remember the Dodgers when they were still in Brooklyn. Things have changed in baseball for the last few years Rules have changed and I don't like it. I hadn't gone to a baseball game since the rule change i listen to some game's on my radio, but I canceled my subscription recently. I don't want to listen to baseball anymore. The announcers are all basis and can't be objective. Vin Scully was the only announcer that could call a game and not be basis. Rest in piece, Vin. I could go on and on about my feelings of not wanting to listen to baseball. But it wouldn't do any good for me to complain about it I don't care about the Dodgers of any of the other team's. I'm tired of hearing about the Dodgers and how wonderful they are. Their so wonderful that I don't wish to listen to any baseball games anymore Sign me as a former baseball fan
Matt dude! This is funny on so many levels....thinking you should get compensation for not getting on a ride? 🤣😂 You should have just gone to Pym's (you were right by it) and had a cocktail - clearly you needed it.😂 Why didn't you ask a cast member about the evacuation? Tiana sux! Cocina Cucamonga QuesaBirra!! 😍😋
All the whiners can complain all they want. The fact of the matter is the players and their MLBPA already said they will never agree to a salary cap, period. They know very well these greedy billionaires owners have money. All the revenue they get every year, most of these owners don't use it to spend. The A's literally were threatened that if they didn't start spending, the players association was gonna file a sue against them. Oh yeah, now they finally started to pay players. Nobody wants to hear excuses about billionaire owners crying poor.
2020 championship required 13 wins with extra series needing to be played. 2024 only required 11 wins. Not sure what the regular season has to do with that. Maybe explain it or it's just sour grapes.
@louv3347 how can I explain the 1.5 billion payroll the first team ever to take base ball payroll to a 1 .5 billion for a season lol you guys are killing base ball but who is me to say
@louv3347 how many billions this seasson explain that one lol keep buying you got lucky last year Yankees out played you in game 1 til bone head made that call and you had Valenzuela passing much help and that 1 .5 lol
The 2020 WS was the hardest series to win according to MLB players. All 30 teams had a chance. The Dodgers were 1 game from being eliminated by the Braves in the NLCS, the series was 3-1. Dodgers roared back and won it all. And you said “the Dodgers got lucky last year when they beat the Yankees?” LOL the Dodgers and Dave Roberts literally put out a master class on how to win a championship with no set starting rotation. It was the most genius baseball played by a postseason team in the history of baseball. The Dodgers broke and set records in the 2024 regular season and in the postseason. Did you even watched it? LOL if you’re going to claim the “Dodgers got lucky”. Then you have to say, the past 100 World Series were “pure luck” 🤡🤡
Seriously the best and my favorite Dodgers Podcast, thank you fellas 🎉
we appreciate your support!
It is, no cap
@@bench-clearingbrawl7737 Thanks!
@@ren1818ren Without question. 👍

It's okay. In a few years, Paul Skenes will be a Dodgers

The Dodgers are waking up the real problem with other teams not spending there free money

I love when Blake takes off the boxing gloves. Jim Bowden is a clown 🤡
No. 11 is a legends number for pitchers in JAPAN, YU Darvish and Shohei Ohtani both were wearing No. 11 in NPB
Ooof Blake absolutely cooked jim bowden
To quote a famous line from the late great George Carlin regarding the Haters out there saying that the Dodgers are ruining baseball, "Like I give a Shit!"🤣🤣🤣🤣
I recommend Lance Brodzowski's recent video on Sasaki. It definitely tempered my expectations for 2025. Regardless, Sasaki's contract is a huge value!
Stay tuned on our channel for similar content 👀
I have no expectations for 2025. I sit back and enjoy baseball.
There were eras without parity. The Yankees won 23 pennants between 1936-1964…
Since 2000, 21 of 30 MLB teams have made the World Series.

That is a great point. The Mets are hamstrung and stuck with him for a long long time
@@irisk934 he's a 70 million a year DH. Can't run the bases. Can't throw. Can't defend in outfield worth a crap. Mets ownership is dumb at baseball
Maddog Russo ranked andrew 8th best gm 😂😂😂😂his list was hilarious
When you view your players or employees as investments rather than costs, your team or company is more likely to succeed.

@@bench-clearingbrawl7737 Mostly agree with that, especially because it was my first year. I think it was the beginning of a dynasty.
Kershaw a 1.8 war? Will he start more than 7 games? Damn too much faith 😅

Wow, I just found out Roja's has 11 tattooed on his arm. Him giving it up means a lot actually. Hope to not hear any Miggy Ro slander from fans again.
Knack, Outman, Bruns for Robert jun. Edman to 2nd. Would improve our up the middle defense considerably.
Awesome
Go dodgers

Same 😂😭
@edennoel1516 @reanukeaves1 sorry!
@DodgerBlue1958 nah ain’t your fault lol I was watching Moneyball for the first time.

How about Muncy and Taylor and maybe a low end prospect for Arrenado and some cash--Keep Arrenado around 16k for 3 yrs

Scott, Ohtani and Roki for Soto same money😂 or sub Scott for teo

Taylor, Outman, 2 young pitchers to Toronto Blue Jays for Bo Bichette and 2 top propects for A or AA leagues

EVERY other team besides the Dodgers can take a risk and sign Trevor Bauer for the minimum
