Columbia has a tendency to use the rivet style barrel hooks. They sold machines for Sears Roebuck markets especially their cylinder machines, before they went to disc machines. I found that these motors weren't as superior as the Victor and Edison machines that took more diligence in the mechanical end of things. Columbia used a lot of fibre gears as well for noise reduction in their later machines and often in some Sears Roebuck machines, before Sears went Silverstone
Good progress. Never seen a Columbia like this so don't know if the spring barrels are normally like this. Hopefully you will be able to get it playing soon. Good idea to wear goggles and whilst not everyone thinks gloves are good for this, I do use them too. Thanks 😀 👍
