So what is "Diagonal Mario"?
During stream Lester quickly made a hack where Mario's normal sprite was swapped with his sprite climbing vertical slopes, which is different and diagonal I guess. It's there in the normal game. It looks silly but it only appears when someone is walking up walls, so no one notice

The moment I heard the "it's the nutshack" music in the pipe area I knew this had ascended from just being a troll super mario world hack to a piece of art. We need pass this down for generations to come.

I'm more concerned how the Tem Shop song works PERFECTLY on the SNES sound card.
Toby Fox used a lot of SNES sound samples in his Undertale tracks, and some of the songs are entirely built from those samples.

That person on the picture is called Fausto Silva or "Faustão", he is a host on a brazilian sunday tv show called "Domingão do faustão", the level is named "Ovo" (Egg in portuguese) because of an old movie where he made a full song about eggs, and how he loved cooked eggs because it gave him strengh to face any criminal, i wish this was a joke XD

My favourite game of all time, that. The early level design is so incredibly on point it almost hurts. It has it's flaws, but just... yeah.
I read “diagonal Mario” and for what ever reason my first thought was that it would be smw, but Mario’s distance from the perspective would be in direct proportion to his distance from the end of the level
Took me a second to get that, so I'll say it in other terms, in case anyone else has more trouble understanding it:
SMW that starts zoomed out, but zooms in closer as you get closer to the finish. And it does this at an even ratio.
Humans are doomed if we spend this much rational thought on UA-cam. -I don't know half of what i just said-

Depends on when you pause, but Mario gets weird things happening when he flys with cape. Example, one of the frames showed Mario throwing away his cape. Another one is Mario gets disintegrated. Or gets cut to pieces too. Then he has 2 feet and 3 bums or loses a hand. The funniest is when the cape sticks out of Mario’s butt or when Mario looks at his butt with a weird expression like: I don’t think I’m suppose to see this. Or his expression may be: umm did I just fart?

Don't know if the question is legit but here:
Basically by putting obstacles and things that can kill the player, and the player knows its lethal, even if you can't even reach the specific thing it just makes the whole thing more menacing. Example: in Wendy's boss fight there is lava in the bottom, and even tho you can't die to it, the fact that you know lava is lethal makes it so that you subconsciously fear the section more, adding more layers to a certain part of the level. And the joke in that section was that, there were a bunch of munchers that didn't even damage you but you avoided them because you are pavlovd into avoiding the munchers.
