I can't believe it's been 30 years. I remember my friend group passing around the Blue Album on cassette throughout summer-fall '94. It was the epitome of cool.
And yet completely ignoring the White Album. And 'Definitely Maybe'
Weezer and Green Day playing deep cuts. Blink, take notes.
Speaking of Green Day… ;)
I love that "The World Has Turned" is now considered a deep cut.
@@beewcar I would say that "Only in Dreams" is more of a deep cut tbh. The rarely play it live.
blink is playing Wendy Clear in their south american tour. i saw them one week ago 🇦🇷✨
Mark thinks shows over 90 minutes is illegal.
First time we heard Only in Dreams when we were kids, no one spoke for a good 30 minutes after the song
44:10 props 2 them playing this at the very end ,, rest in peace mykel and carli 🕊️❤️
Pat just killllllin it on the drums in Jonas. Those circular clear cymbal sheilds are interesting too.
I believe they stop the sound of the cymbals from drowning out the guitars and singing to the audience.
@@PabeGeet oh really? I thought they were to protect the cymbals from covid 😂😂
@@cb24203 They are actually propellers
rivers acting all nerdy and quiet for the joke is so surreal to see with what he's written in the past 20 years
Acting?
30 years ago saw the release of what I think is the most iconic album of my adolescent experience. Weezer's debut album. Every song on the Blue album is a time machine for me taking me right back to middle school. Listening to it still brings me a sense of youthful energy and optimism. They were the first live band I ever saw in concert. This record is just honest, nerdy, emotive rock perfection that has aged like a fine wine to me. I'd be hard pressed to think of a single rock record I enjoy listening to more from front to back than this one for a multitude of reasons. Thanks for the tunes and memories Weezer ... you were the onramp to my teen years and I'll be listening for 30 more years Lord willing...
Beautifully said. ❤
Seeing them in Hollywood FL ❤
Can’t wait to see them in DC alongside The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr!!!
Austin Texas 27 September
Seeing them in Chicago on 9/6!
THE BUCCEES STICKER ON RIVERS GUITAR NO WAY ‼️‼️
now I got to get tickets for South Florida just it is too good to pass up
Weezer sounding great
My first album I bought in 94 as a sophomore in HS with my first paycheck!!
Thank you for filming & posting this show. Looks like it was surreal! Bummed to have missed it! But grateful to watch it.
I went to this show. Aside from waiting an hour to get inside the venue, this show was magical ❤
An hour? lol, you must be young. Try waiting overnight to get into a show 😃
@@michaelbell75 yeah…. This isn’t my first concert and I’m not crazy enough to do that. I got stuff to do. lol. But very much respect to you and anyone else who has done that tho. You’re the true fans. 🙂🙂🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Thanks for posting this! I can't wait for September when I see them live myself. Every Weezer concert I've been to has been a great experience. =w=
Damn big band for such a small venue, fomo is real right now. Awesome
They never get old.. especially Rivers!
thank you for this!
perfect recording. kudos for your invest.
YAY THANK YOU!!!!!!
Thank you! Oldest starts school when Boston shows roll through so I was force to miss for good reason. This helps!!!🎉
SHEEESH that was amazing! Thank you for this video. Incredible!
Fantastic
Probably going to see these guys in June If I'm fortunate enough , very excited!
Matt Sharp was the best bassist for Weezer
These nerds are still as cool as ever.
Same Instruments the whole way through, outstanding!
34:57 YEAH
I sure hope you were at the recent Constellation Room show and filmed that as well.
Hope rivers sings all of day it ain’t so oct 11
Wow No One Else in the album cool. What a nice surprise.
No One Else...she never leaves the house...love the song but the lyrics...
on that note: check out Carnival Art
Filmed with a camera or phone?
Phone.
@@faninor-the-concert-taper damn this is some good quality for a phone :0
Weezer wowoowowowowowoozzz
Hopefully this is me soon
I wanna hear Rivers sing Say It Ain’t So, not this dude!!!
that dude playing a solo over the actual solo :\
I’m there, right in front of my boy RC!
hey dude did you get to the constellation room?
Nope, sorry - learned about that show 3 minutes after it went on sale and couldn’t get tickets.
No on yelled "smoke dope"!? Come on. Alright, I guess I know what I gotta do now...
Is that Matt Sharp?
No it’s just scott
i wish
It’s always sort of bothered me that this bass player plays buddy holly slightly wrong… in the original version there is an interesting passing note in the chorus. The guitars are playing C# but the bass plays F over it
No guest appearance from Matt Sharp?
i cant understand why
Weezer covers Weezer
no one can touch Matt Sharp falsetto backing vocals, i never understood why they hire this bass player
him and mikey were the best. matt's backing vocals and mikey's skill is unbelievable. scott on the other hand is horrible, can't even play bass ( well not very good anyways ) nor does he have good backing vocals. i wish mikey was still here.
It’s too bad they never captured this magic on any other of the albums they released.
not true their newer stuff is solid
debatable. van weezer, sure. OK human, no, though that's just my personal opinion. teal album, definitely yes. etc. etc.
How about you grow up and listen to some Ratitude?
@@protein3057 you grow up!
@@Zvanunhoft man you really can’t take a joke
2024 and the live recordings suck. Don't post if you record with a phone.
Really? Their best and most iconic song they bring some other dude on to sing it?
if you want better than you can go to their actual tour..
also dominic fike isnt just some other dude hes a young and skilled artist
its a real shame that brian is still a member even after being outed as a creep
Old school weezy fan, what happened?
@@PresenceUponMethere’s a lot of theories that he likes little girls, and he messaged minors before
Exactly like what happened
Because it was just rumors...
The real shame is you, believing everything you read.
Wow they are so bad live.....yikes
I’ve seen a couple of times in small venues, this is just the sound here. They are amazing live!
its just the audio quality
no it's more than that. Bass and drums drifting all over the place. Vocals are weak@@BiggestBrianBellKinnie
@@imandan1966 i was just saying that phone quality isn't the best. i am very biased and i really don't think the drums were bad, though i only skipped through the video. i could agree on bass though, i don't like scott in general but here he sounds horrible. it ruins the songs. though i kno what you're talking about when you say the vocals, from what ive watched the vocals got better overtime but it sounds like he has a sore throat. the vocals in my name is jonas sounds well, horrible. just remember they've been singing these songs for more then half of their life's ( except for scott obviously ) so cut them some slack.
they are literally all in their 50s what do you expect
