The Church can not bless sin, which means (to me) when a Priest tries to bless sin the ritual is invalid and has no spiritual effect, but as St Paul exhorted on the topic of immorality, the sinners (people) are somehow blessed by listening to him.

mine too. Praise God for your clear message that is desperately NEEDED TODAY. I would add 1 important thing that I feel that Fr. Mike should add - when we follow God's way, re chastity or other commands of God, we benefit in our lives. Yes, we may be rejected by others BUT we will not experience the terrible fallout of NOT following God. Think of the devastation that the sexual immorality falls on people, torn hearts and lives. It brings no good things. Keep on Fr. Mike, keep on, and may God bless you abundantly for your faithfulness to be a messenger of God in this fallen world.

Father, send a copy of your sermon to many, many priests and bishops. Of course we want to always listen to our Lord when He speaks but today every Catholic should know/recall that our bodies are sacred and that an “irregular” union is a grave offense to God Almighty. If this truth is passed over without directing it, it will continue to be ignored and Sodom and Corinth would’ve won the day. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you father for your profound sermon. I learned to appreciate your different thoughts on “Behold! The Lamb of God!”. Bishop Barron’s way of being touched by the very Words is not wrong. It’s a different way how one feels, expressed, and spiritually absorbed by such proclamation.

God bless this Priest. Our 2nd reading today was stripped of most of the actual content. Our Priest didn't cover the second reading, even though it was butchered.
Ya, I didn't hear any of this in the morning mass. So sad.
I do the 2nd reading at Mass every Sunday.
I look it up on line beforehand for practice.
I dreaded the reading i found on line. "Fornication" was the main word and it appeared several times.
But when I checked it in the lectionary before mass it appeared as "immorality".
I certainly wasn't comfortable reading it as I saw it on line, that's for sure. I'm not a priest. I don't give homilies.

Was there any mention of such couples separating for the sake of Jesus? There are incredible blessings that come after repentance. I Corinthians 6:11

2:15 When father says Jesus is is not the lamp in the sense of a weak figure, this was just heaven sent since I was just enlightened by a dream this past night when an angel of the Lord I'd seen in my dreams various times in the form of very meek & pure (an angel of purity), now I saw him very masculine in a sense & powerful with a small sword in a menacing form, holding a tall scary demon at bay on his knees! This greatly inspired me as a man to not fall into the trap of not having a manly figure to look up to so as to imitate. I began to worship & thank God for this deliverance & now I just want to be faithful to Him furthermore so as to not have my spiritual enemies laugh at me in my weakness against lust & porn & in turn laugh at God who battles for us so fiercely! The talk itself was providential since it's what I've struggled with.
It’s good that he said there’s no need for the Victorian/puritan ere & also pointed out that women in other cultures don’t dress like they do to be promiscuous

Kudos to you Father for your touch on sexual immorality.
The thing about sexual immorality -fornication & adultery - is one sin you hardly see any priest preaching against in the world today especially in the western world. In UK almost all the priest will not even touch that second reading at all. They will prefer to sermonize on an irrelevant topic outside the readings of the day or rather pick any of the readings or gospel that day that talked not about sexual immorality.
It appears as if they are somewhat guilty of it or they are trying not to make the congregants uncomfortable with the sin the society have normalised in which many seated therein are into. It is likely that the priest think that if they touch on or keep pointing out sexual immorality in the society, it might discourage people from coming to church.
We can see why the highest authority in the Church -Rome- made the Fiducia Supplicant (FS), which is more of pampering the sinners living and swimming in sexual sin, Christ Jesus CLEARLY CONDEMNED.
These words were dictated by a power far greater than i . I am only the pen!🇨🇦😔

Last Friday night I was at a high school concert and found myself sitting next to a 17 year old schoolboy. He told me about the hook up culture of today where youth don't date any more and get straight into sex. What a huge amount of pressure to get placed on them.
The Holy Spirit brings the cleansing from the inside out.
