Honestly, there has to be a complete way to get the entire thing. The multiple dlc just makes things hard to get into.
Personally, this game is most definitely worth it, especially since the modding community is amazing and there is so much free mod dlc to keep the campaigns interesting. By far, the best rts game and series out there just based on how good the battles are compared to most other rts games
RSK
Game is good ! Fuck the mods
just started my first campaign, when its finished I plan to take a look on some mods, any mods you recommend?
@@EdzCreationz I would recommend playing a campaign in each race/faction to see which one you like the most. Most of the mods are developed around their factions, so that is important to know. As for the best mods, Mixu's Unlocker Mod is the base mod you have to have in order to run most mods that add a new legendary lord and campaign.
Personally, I think the OVN Lost Factions series, Cataph Southern Realms, Cataph's Kraka Drak Norse Dwarves, and Legion of the Scarlet Empire.
Those are all new campaign mods that give you new legendary lords and units to play. UA-cam channel: Great Book of Grudges is a good channel to find a bunch of mod reviews for WH3.
Not really stil regret buying it and want a refund... Just play wh2 way better
Worth a try, a new combat system to learn outside of my comfort zone from other games I play.
This game (and its predecessors before) has a permanent spot on my rig. I've been playing since Warhammer 1 and there are still factions I haven't gotten around to trying. Single player is great, but Total Warhammer also has excellent multiplayer options. You can play a co-op campaign with your friends and take over AI armies to fight them in battle, and there's more than one campaign type to choose from. You can also play head-to-head battles in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 or FFA modes, and there is a very friendly tournament community focused around Domination Mode if you're really thirsting for blood and skulls. My friends and I spent several months in Warhammer 2 painting the map various colors of Lizardmen during the pandemic, and I would absolutely do it again in Warhammer 3 if there was another lockdown tomorrow.
when game so bad you only play it when you are literally forced inside your house all day
@@spirosmakris7142 honestly its more likely that its because the game is a pretty heavy time sink, its one of those games thats just amazing if you can just sit around playing it all day for a few weeks but not necessarily able to give those short term dopamine hits for one hour play sessions you may have during the week days.
@@jacobely6826 that was the biggest hurdle for me on the Total War games, I always tried to get into them but it would always lead one way.
I'd watch a vid on the game I already own, gameplay looks awesome as fuck, I download and play. Gameplay is just straight boring to me.
I bought Three Kingdoms an that was the same way. But I decided to actually give it a good try and wow, I had been missing out. Absolutely fun, learned how to use older tactics and actually got somewhat decent 6 hours in. Already conquered most of my campaign. The mods for that makes it even better, the actual battles are just so fun to watch. Watching both armies approach eachother. Then the melee squads start charging and screaming. So fucking awesome.
Remember, now you only need to own TWW3 for access to the "Immortal empires" campaign. Immortal empires is a campaign map that includes the two previous titles with all those games had to offer. You can not however play as those factions if you do not own them(including dlc) But its now way cheaper to play with up to 8 friends in the great campaign.
Exactly what I was looking for but had no idea how to ask it! Thank you!
Do you need to own the base games for WH1 and 2, or can you just buy the dlc and play factions that way
@@PoopdilfXX sorry late reply base games has the base races, but i dont think you need to own them.
I love Warhammer and love total war. This game is great.
Put down 240hrs in two months. Haven't played a game that much in years. Makes me feel young again 😅
I'm surprised to see you're making videos on Warhammer 3. I've used your guides many times for Code Vein and the Dark Souls series.
Granted I already have much experience here. The game has certainly gotten better this year. If anything I hope your guides will give people more reasons to play as I would love to see further growth in the community.
This is a welcoming turn of events.
Great video - I’ve been wanting to get into and this gave me the info I was looking for
YES! More warhammer 3!! I have been watching your elden ring videos for a year now and tried almost every build you've created, but total war: Warhammer series has been my bread and butter since like 2016. I cannot recommend it enough and it makes me happy to see some of my favorite youtube content creators also playing it.
It's worth it, TRUST me
IT IS!
Even if you are new to the genre?
@Jay G I was new to the genre and had a blast. I went out and bought the other two Warhammer Total Wars when they were on sale and even their separate Total War:Three Kingdoms game which is also a blast
@@16ton7 If you Like Fantasy and strategy, this is definitly the Game to Play. Just start with a Basic faction you Like to play, and get used to them. You learn about the others Units and factions as you progress. And If you are confused at any time there are plenty of guides to almost everything.
@@theobserver9844 ok thank you
How much DLC should you start off with? I’ve seen videos with people playing as different factions and the giant map and I kinda want that
I got it(all 3 games and their dlc's) on Christmas... it became my favorite game of all time in less then a week
As someone who played the franchise since the end of game 1: Game 3 admittedly had a rough launch, but at this point the game is more than worth getting into. The devs have been working super hard, and the community is lively and full of great modders and content creators. And we're only going to get more content from here.
If you can get the first 2 warhammer games on sale then I would say its one of the greatest games ever made. Immortal empires with all lords unlocked will give you pretty much endless replayability. I love this game and it is the main reason I made the switch to PC gaming. Once you get bored or don't like certain mechanics of the game you should take a look at some mods made for the game on the steam workshop. I payed $180 for all 3 games, and I would still say it was worth it.
I've played all three Warhammer titles and several historical Total War titles. Total war is my favorite franchise of all time and Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires is the pinnacle of Total War. Recommend buying all three titles and all DLC when they go on sale a couple times a year.
This game is really fantastic. For all it’s faults and quirks I’ve had an absolute blast playing it. Most fun memories gaming ever have been campaigns with friends and all of us controlling different units in a larger army. Highly recommend
Is this a mod? Sounds fun
If you have friends to play a campaign with I highly recommend it. I rip my own campaigns as well and have never dabbled in multiplayer battles, just not my thing. This game is so worth it!
Then add in the mods and it's hours of entertainment.
Id recommend for new players to find a faction that suits you best. The first couple factions i played i didnt really like, but once i found that one that suited me best, oh hell yeah.
This game series is great. The co op is fun. Excellent modding community. Lots of sales for the DLC if price is an issue.
Absolutely worth it to buy!! Its gaming art and gameplay to the MAX!! An absolutely beautiful portrait and art scene putting in all forms of Art from Art Nouveau to Art Deco also with Chaos being more Art Expressionism. I love the visuals and the gameplay, if you have ADD get this as you will be immersed for hours.
I played the game and got a decent army and all but i dont understand why i get so fucked even when having an upgraded capital and decent amount of troops defending
Watch legendoftotalwar
Do i need a good computer for this game to run or can i use a non gaming computer
As an avid RTS TBS player of the past 30 years, this game is top notch. Couldn't possibly recommend more!!! Epic game, endless replayability.
Isn't it more of a 4X game than an RTS?
@@-Neo_Genesis- definitely. but the battles happen in real time, making it a combination of both TBS and RTS.
I’m very biased I’ve put in over 3000 hours total between WH2 and 3, but I think this game is definitely worth it! Especially with Immortal Empires! There are so many different ways to play and different factions with lots of cool units! Maybe hold off on all the DLC Bc they do go on sale quite often unless there’s one that you really want. Warriors of Chaos is my personal favorite, but I know the Skaven ones are very popular Bc they add a lot mechanics and units. Looking at you Ikit Claw lol he can drop nukes on settlements and armies
This game is amazing. The replayability is through the roof, the management mechanics are great and the real time combat is epic. Would advice anyone to give it a try!
I keep hearing about the replayability. What is better about it compared to Warhammer 2 you think?
Same question, what makes this so replayable?
This is my first rts and holy hell is it tough. It’s very fun playing a type of game I’ve never played before. With that said there’s so much shit, it’s so overwhelming and a lot of times I just don’t have the patience to learn. It’s worth it if you’re willing to put the several 100 hours it takes to improve
I am quite new with Warhammer III, I still undecided which faction to use, any suggestion for total newbie , thanks 🙂
Should I play WH2 first or I can just jump straight to 3 without any problems? Also, what dlc can you recommend for 3?
This is also the best game ever if you want to create armies and fight other armies in multiplayer. It is very hard to get into because there is a lot to learn only to get the basics right. Once it is done, you can play in multiplayer or join the many weekly tournaments on the internet and it's very fun
Which is better 1 2 or 3? I’m new to war hammer and it’s been a while since I played a total war game which would you recommend?
Downloading right now. Hyped for this, always wanted to get into the Total War Warhammer games.
Though, the DLC madness is bs.
There are like 10 DLCs, for about 10$ each on a full price game.
Just give me the fucking races. Though it is indeed nice that apparently the people that bought the DLCs for the second iteration, also get them here.
Lizardmen are my go-to race. Somehow nothing quite beats the feeling of trampling an enemy army with T-rexes and Dread Saurians, not to mention the Slann are REALLY good casters.
Tips for me guys!!! Use pause always, i don't know why people don't use pause, its really important to move other soldiers with pause, u ill have better strategy
I have been playing since game one, and I'm still playing the game today, version three with all the DLC. I have lots of great mods and reshade installed and I have to say, I can lose myself for hours playing the game and not get bored. When I switch off it is because I'm tired, not because I got bored. Few games on my steam account grab my attention in such a way. Is the game worth it? For me I love the game enough that I watch youtube videos on lore because I just cannot get enough so yes, it has definitely been worth it and the money spent on it in the context of time spent playing... by the gods, yes its worth it .
Any recommendations for faction to go with for first play (first warhammer 3 play through)?
Hi, there is any bundle or just have to buy each DLC?
Current Steam review score: 12%
All-time Steam review score: 62%
Too many stuff locked behind a pay-wall. The developers have also threatened to stop supporting the game if we don't pay enough money through DLCs. I have spent 1000+ hours in TW:WH2 and was therefore thinking about buying this game, but given these review scores and these statements from the developer, I decided not to buy this game. I no longer care how good a game is, I just refuse to remain part of the problem that plagues the gaming world: Publishers greed.
yes, you have to buy a "Blood DLC" in a war/battle game
Update: Mai 2024 and its currently at 86%
@@svdwellen Probably because it's on sale this week? Overall the Steam score is still a disappointing 65%
I saw Karl Franz leading the Alliance of Order.
I like it.
100% WORTH. I've played all 3 with thousands of hours sunk in. Immortal Empires campaign map is absolutely fantastic.
This is one of my favourite games. More content will be coming for years to come
For me, it's simply one of the best series/games ever made. I'm embarrassed to admit how many hours I have in it.
I just bought every Total War: Warhammer game and dlc from steam . excellent video
I own 1 & 2, but a big thing that kept me from getting 3 was player biased AI. Is that fixed??
In WH 1, when click click on the enemy units with multiple of my units, 1 or 2 of them attack and rest go to the edgr of the map. Positioning and such are usually very broken
havent seen the video yet but could you make a video of total war medivial II Call of Warhammer mod vs the TW warhammer francise trilogy? that would be dope!
so do you need all the dlc to play immortal empires in sandbox?
It’s actually my favorite non RPG genre game, I’ve spent thousands of hours on each entry, and game 3 has enough content to rival any RPG, even if you know nothing of Warhammer Universe give it a try, it’s more noob friendly than other strategic titles and there’s nothing like clashing goblins against demons, or against undead, or vampires, or dwarfs, or dinosaurs, take you your pic and enjoy
It’s my most played game, love it. Takes a little understanding but there’s lots of guides out there.
Love this 🤩💯 ENDLESS content especially if they would go the Bethesda route and start doing better mod support
Never has my money been more worth it
warhammer 3 is incredibly fun and has an incredible amount of mod support, if you want faster/slower games, more content/units, reworked factions, different campaign maps, you can get so much.
havent played warhammer since number 1.. how graphics and time has changed this game for the better
YES! Also now is a good time to play it cuz you can now play immortal empires even without owning games 1 and 2
Good review. Quick and to the point, no fluff. Thats my kinda shit.
This game is extremely addictive!
Hey should I get this or Rome 2 remastered? Both look great, I refunded three kingdoms because I wasn’t digging the ancient China theme
Seems intriguing but For some Who just started playing pc and never played rts it feels really intimidating.
And here I am, just wishing I had the time to actually delve into these games. Oh well, I'll get them all, once they release the final DLC for Warhammer 3, I guess.
I've been searching for a game that gives you the same control over an army that a real commander would've had. I can't believe I never even heard about warhammer till now lol
All total war games
I just want to play nurgle
All according to Changer's plan.
I want to get into total war warhammer but they seem overwhelming
I have rome2 empire edition should i get this guys my gaming pc is ryzen5 5600 rtx3060 zotac amd 16gb to 1tb
i still think shogun 2 is the best total war game ever made, but this looks really good...
I'd argue Shogun 2 is the pinnacle of all the TW games. That game was and IS still very good all across the board. Music, artwork, history, gameplay, and graphics. Hoping we get a solid remake for it (and not what we got with that Rome mess we received).
Been playing since TW:WH1. It's a truly epic game.
I enjoyed it but forgot i played it. Struggling to remeber what account and service i got it on to continue my campaign 😂😂😂
My only real complaint with all 3 of these games, is that the map is static, and each race and faction have their assigned locations.
It's a fine map and all that, but the game would be 100x better and more appealing if it had the ability to randomly generate a map of a chosen size, which would also result in random starting locations, which would be a more closer to endless feeling of replayability and value.
Cool games otherwise for sure!
I own everything there is from the first 2, but haven't bothered with this 3rd one yet because it doesn't really offer much different for the amount it costs, even on sale for 40% off unfortunately. I'll wait it out and get it for $7 in another year or 2.
The best version for me is tww2, i bought 3 in order to complete all the factions and open the whole world. Too many bugs in 3 at moment. CA Should have kept everything as it was in 2 and just released more races.
what kind of bugs??
This was a good commercial, thanks.
Love this game
Downloading right now. My first RTS game since Halo Wars. Also, my first real dive into the Warhammer Universe, besides Dark Tide, which isnt all that great. Love the lore but didnt care for the gameplay loop too much..
Prepare thy wallet lol. Don't buy their bs DLC. This company is greedy af bruh.
It’s 1,000% worth it. There are many content creators who’ve made guides on both campaign and battle, for just about every faction. You’ll sink more hours into this one than you’ll ever want to admit.
just bought it thank u
It is absolutely worth it. One of the best and most beautiful games I have ever played and I have played a lot of games.
Just got it since on sale
This game fucking slaps
Interested. But it has Denuvo.
Can someone explain what I’m missing in this game? I’m a few hours into the prologue and never played this series before but I’m already just following the prompts for what to build and auto resolving fights. It’s pretty cookie cutter already and I’m not sure what I’m missing
hi, comment is kinda late, but is it still worth it now? i played a bit of warhammer 2 but i wanna know if this one is any good, seeing people's comment on reddit who are disappointed at warhammer 3 is concerning.
Warhammer 3 is such a spectacular game. The best TW ever.
Nice to see it here
Do the warhammer 2 dlcs look better graphicly through warhammer 3?
Do I just buy this alone or with wh2 and 1
I see both II and III are on sale on Steam, and I can't decide which one, if any, to get. 😐
Pc too old for 3 and 2 but still downloading the first one to try it out
The bear god Ursun was imprisoned by the demon Bearlicker. Ok. Makes sense. Got it.
Should I start with Cathay?
Its fun single player but i would like them to make it easier for multiplayer. I dont understand how you can join a game half way through??
Of course it is I mean it's lore is as complex and interesting as souls series except that it's complete
Plus gameplay is top tier aswell
400 hours and I’m waiting for the new DLC
What does Mortal empires bring to the game if you only have WH3?
Im still new to this total war Warhammer, i wonder if i only need to buy warhammer 3 plus dlc from warhammer 1 and 2 or i need to buy the base game (warhammer 1&2) too?
You just need number 3 to play, the rest are just for you to pick what race you want to play with(bonus content).
Buy the third game first, and if you enjoy it buy the other games later in a sale.
So i don't need to buy warhammer 1 & 2 base game?
@@billyadaw7022 You will only need to buy game 1 if you want to play as Empire/Dwarfs/Greenskins/Vampire Counts, and game 2 if you want to play as High Elves/Dark Elves/Lizardmen/Skaven.
To play Inmortal Empires, the big map, you only need Warhammer 3. This does not provide access to w1 or w2 lords. If you want to play the Empire, you will need to buy w1 to get access to Karl Franz and Gelt. Alternatively, you can buy the hunter and the beast, a w2 DLC featuring Markus Wulfhart (Empire) and Nakai (Lizardmen). Either of the two will unlock the free Empire lord. Basically, you buy lords, not races. You don't need Warhammer 1 to play Empire if you have Markus Wulfhart, but you won't be able to access the w1 lords unless you have it. Having any lord of a race allows you to get the free dlc lords of said race. This is what I understood, although I already have all so I can't really test it. One thing I'm uncertain is the DLC units. Lord dlcs come with extra units, so I imagine you won't get Markus' new units for w1 lords without having his DLC. I hope this clears you doubts :)
Most value for money game in the history of games, arguably. Literally thousands of hours of gameplay before you've exhausted everything you can do with it.
lol I said fuck that at 3:13 into the video... a game that makes you buy DLC from the PREVIOUS game? WTF.
It’s totally worth it , for WH fantasy fan like me, you must buy it
I wouldn't go to a Tesla ad to find out whether or not I'd like to own one.
I still play Attila and Rome. Waiting for the new Medieval
I enjoyed the campaigns when playing Warhammer III but making you pay full price for everything else rlly sucks, I only started in Warhammer III and if I want to unlock the rest of the game I would have to go and buy WH I and WH II which are both at full +plus DLC at full price. Im enjoying WH III but if I want to try the rest of the world out I'm going to have to spend over like £150 ($182), why make a new game with a full open world game that unlocks all the factions with new stories only for the low price of $180+. Like why. (If anyone knows where I can get these games for cheaper, please let me know)
Short answer: Yes! :D
i bought part 2 during a sale to see if it's for me...as someone who's not good at strategy games but wants to get into them i can tell you it's not a good entry point for noobs. it's similar to chess...you either have a talent for these types of games or you don't
Looks sick
It would take me all weekend to download the damn thing.
Is what I would say if I didn't already have the game. 🤓🤓
