Just a small commentary for the video. I appreciate all the views and comments this video has gotten so far, it's great to discuss this subject.
I will start off by saying, I'm not claiming that San Martin in any way shape of form posses the same quality as a Tudor or a Rolex. I'm just saying that you can still enjoy the watch. It's different if the watch was a super clone, then I can understand sentiment, that you will not be happy with the watch until you have a tudor or a rolex. But this is not a super clone so I still think there is room for enjoyment :)
"Breathe and enjoy the watches you have," seems to be good advice for 2024.
Exactly brotha! :) That is what i'm trying to atleast. Thanks for watching :)
Fantastic video with deep and profound thoughts! I love how you articulated this. 👏🏾👏🏾
I appreciate the kind words brotha! I have seen your channel, you have awesome videos! Thanks for watching 😊
Wow man, what an amazing video! Love the close ups! I swear your close ups are so good I genuinely thought you were using stock videos for Tudor until I saw the San Martin logo! ❤
Amazing job man, seriously! Also, agreed with your opinion! Enjoy the watches you have, don’t fret for what you don’t have.
I appreciate the kind words brotha ♥ Exactly just enjoy the watches you have! It's a lot more fun that way!
Brands like Seiko offer incredible original designs at the price of a San Martin. But maybe you are not willing to relieve with things like a low quality bracelet.. I really like what San Martin is doing
Seiko is an Amazing brand, and correct I like their Original Designs a lot, and that should commended! Which brand do you like the most? Thanks for watching :)
I have a Tisell Explorer, which is a blatant copy of a modern Explorer. But I still really enjoy the watch; I’ve worn it nonstop for days on a rubber strap. I don’t mind copy watches of famous models. So many companies have Explorer homages/clones at this point. I look at a real Rolex ref. 114270 and can’t say it’s worth $6K to me. A Datejust, though? That’s a different story.
I love your thoughts on the video. My attainable grail is a Tudor BB36 or Prince Date. I don’t see an issue with these homage/clone watches. If they make you happy, then so what? Don’t let random grown men on the internet dissuade you from buying an homage/copy watch you really like. It’s your money, after all.
Tudor is not a poor man's Rolex; it is a "no waiting list" Rolex.
If you can afford a 4k Tudor; you most likely can afford a 6k Rolex
It sounds even more weak and dumb in that case, just buy used Rolex mate.
Fore some people San martin is a grail watch, and to be honest they make great watches with reliable movements and impeccable finishing. I think that people hate on homage watches because they are made in China. We don't hear people hating on hommage watches that are made in Switzerland.
I think San Martin makes great watches with great designs, you are absolutely right! Thanks for watching brotha :)
@@universallanguage9839 that's quality content, keep up the good work 👍🏽
While I do agree with most of your points, I do not think forcing yourself to compromise purely out of practicality is a good thing. If anything, I believe in hard long term goals being healthy as it makes you strive toward rather than being stuck in place.
For myself, by the time I'm 50, I want a platinum vashron driver's watch, and it's forcing me to make decisions to get me out of my comfort zone.
100%! I could not agree more :) I was trying to allude to your point in the video... That if you want watches as motivations, then it's a good thing! But i thing sometimes it can be hard to set such long terms goal, and then it becomes a pain rather than a healthy way of looking at success, even though success is not suppose to be "healthy" all the time. But having long term goals is important, and i hope you succeed in getting what you want! Thanks for watching! 😊
Just buy a grand seiko if you cant afford a rolex..
Just buy a Rolex if you can't afford a Vacheron.
@@A_Dude_And_His_Watch78 Just buy a G-Shock if you can't afford an Invicta.
