Trevor, great choice. I already got my PO 8500, and added an AP Royal Oak Off Shore, not the diver, but a "vintage" of the pre- End of the days... Man, what an incredible watch. From the quality finish to the modern horological history on it... a delight! I'm still not into the Rolex thing... BUT... Just need to let some time pass to see if my enthusiasm about a BLNR continues... then, more likely it will be my first Rolex... Have to sell some others first thou ;-)
Just bought the lhd in person this watch looks simply amazing it is modern and vintage in the same time. It looks expensive but is not an expression of excessive wealth .i highly recommend this timepiece .

@@King_Harrold hello sorry for the delayed response the titanium holds very well actually . it is very difficult to notice small scratches because of the titanium surface oxidation . What is not scratch resistance is the clasp which is SS.Great timepiece highly recommended !

I always assumed that if and hopefully when I indulged myself in buying a luxury watch, it would be an Omega, possibly a Rolex. I could never justify such an outlay, but back in 2014 when I got engaged, I felt it was the perfect opportunity to warrant such a purchase. Well, the lady gets a nice, expensive diamond ring, why shouldn’t us guys get something too...?! I went in rather blind believing Rolex were the best of the best with their phenomenal marketing and image. As most watch enthusiasts will know, in reality they are second or even third tier compared to the truly esteemed giants like Patek Phillipe, Lange & Söhne etc. That is not to denigrate Rolex, I’d effectively be denigrating my own watch and some by doing so and Rolex is an utterly phenomenal brand with such a wide range of incredibly beautiful watches that I defy anyone not to fall in love with one. The Rolex Daytona Platinum Ice Blue is my such watch and I have no shame in admitting that is out of my price range...! Anyway, with a budget of up to around £5k I started looking and began with Omega in confidence. While many of the watches were/ are great, when it came to one that I wanted to own, wear and pay my hard cash for, nothing truly spoke to me. The Omega Seamaster garnered obvious interest, but just didn’t do it for me, despite Omega getting much critical acclaim about their wonderful Co-Axial movement. A touch despondent, I then looked at Rolex, a little reluctantly as I was put off by the admittedly subjective “look at me” stigma it would bring, but supremely confident I would fall in love with one nonetheless. Yet the more I looked, the more I was just underwhelmed and much as I love the aforementioned Daytona, even if I had that kind of money, it is a bit flash for me. The submariner range came closest to getting a bite, but just as with Omega, nothing that remotely convinced me. They were a little small, flashy/ glossy and I didn’t like the amount of text on the face. And I hate cyclops! Utterly despondent, I began browsing all ranges. A few Tag (I know...) watches looked nice, but ultimately meh, then when all hope was lost, something called a Tudor Pelagos leapt out of the screen. I’d never even heard of Tudor... a little research and I soon learned what we all know, in very crude terms Tudor is effectively made by Rolex at affordable prices, but in real terms that does a complete disservice to the rich heritage and individuality of Tudor in its own right. I loved that it was largely Rolex quality, but without the albeit subjective stigma’s that come with a Rolex. I loved that it looked like a submariner, but without the glossy, flashy elements. I loved that clean face/ dial with minimal, plain text as opposed to the cluttered, confusing dial of Rolex. The matt finish of the bezel and face made it majestically understated and wonderfully legible. The lume was resplendent, the clasp with its micro adjustments ingenious. The rubber strap included (though given the bracelets ingenuousness I have worn that almost exclusively). The snowflake hands, which after some research is a nod to the historical Tudor submariners that were provided to the French navy in the 1960’s, sums up much of the wonderful contradictions of the Pelagos; a contemporary, modern watch, yet with classic, historical connotations. And I simply adored that it was brushed titanium rather than shiny steel, a big preference for me. Oh, and it didn’t have cyclops!!! It just flew under the radar which I loved and was a watch you wouldn’t be frightened to wear, a proper tool watch. If ever a watch was made for James Bomd, this was/ is it ;-) After more research than is probably healthy ;-) I looked in to the movement which of course is a massive thing for watch enthusiasts, probably the biggest thing for most and of course the (original) Pelagos has an ETA 2824 movement (albeit a high quality one with Tudor enhancements) rather than an in-house movement. Now I understand my conclusions will be an anathema to those that believe a luxury watch simply must have an in-house movement, but given there was little real world benefit as the Pelagos comfortably runs within chronometer specifications and some, I regarded it unimportant. It would be easier and cheaper to service and though investment potential was and is irrelevant to me, hindsight, whilst still currently subjective of course, indicates the original ETA Pelagos will be more of a collectible that the in-house 5 liner Pelagos given the original 2 liner was only manufactured for 3 years. It is also the first titanium watch made by either Tudor or Rolex. There is precedent of ETA watches, even for Rolex (technically a Valjoux as they were purchased by ETA in 1966) being more collectible than in-house versions. So as you can probably guess, I bought the Tudor Pelagos and am absolutely delighted with it. Over 5 years later it is losing 1.9 seconds a day (this changes in the summer to around the same but gaining). The 5 liner is a beautiful watch too, I love the blue version, yet as per my stated enthusiasm for understated, non-flashy watches, I admire it yet wouldn’t want it. And I certainly prefer the 2 liner to the 5 as to me the original Pelagos is noticeably different to any Rolex which was a great allure for me, the 5 liner and the lines, pardon the pun, become more blurred. The loss of the marker at 3 is another negative on the new version, but which ever version you have, the Pelagos is amazing. I’ve never quite understood why the Pelagos doesn’t garner far more acclaim, even playing second fiddle to the Tudor Black Bay, albeit a fine, wonderful watch in its own right. Maybe one day it will be remembered as it deserves to be, but in the mean time I will enjoy wearing it and admire its understated majesty every single day.

Great review. I finally bit the bullet and bought a Pelagos just after the new year in part because the new 5 year warranty. I’ve been very happy so far, and it is holding to well under 1/2 second a day accuracy. The clasp is superb, and it wears very comfortably on my 7.75” wrist.

Love your show Tristan . . . The 4 divers in my collection are: 1. Seiko SKX. 2. Longines legend diver. 3. Breitling colt. 4. Omega seamaster. I actually love these divers from most to least in reverse order but numbered them according to actual use in the water. Perhaps, I am always concerned about taking the Omega seamster into the water, despite its clear capability.
I think the Pelagos is one of the most beautiful dive watches of all time. The fit and finish of the titanium case is absolutely exquisite. However, I hate the fact that it scratches so readily. Moreover, it’s nearly impossible to polish out the gouges, swirls, and scratches - so, you’re pretty much stuck with the blemishes you pick up. It’s too bad, because the case and bracelet are so impeccably finished, it hurts to compromise it just because you’re wearing it. You might like the look of a few scratches; you may even say it adds character. But to me, it’s like owning a pristine Ferrari, and suffering endless door dings.
You can get rid of the scratches in the oxidized outer layer of titanium with an eraser believe it or not... Any regular old pencil/Ink eraser preferably using the ink side. Firm strokes along the grain of the brushed links and you will be absolutely shocked how amazing the watch looks! My watch looks brand new after about 45 min of work... TRY IT! What do you have to lose?
SuperPussyFinger I find the titanium is harder wearing than steel. Ive had my Pelagos for a year now and its as good as the day I bought it, apart from the stainless steel clasp which has scratched! As others have said, minor scratches on the titanium can be remover with a diamond rubber, its just in the oxidation film.
Not specific to this video, but a quick thank you for all the work you put into these. I broke my ankle and leg in February and haven't been able to wear a watch since -- until today, my first day back without crutches (I went with the Timex Flyback today, because of the whole learning to walk again thing). Your videos have helped feed my addiction while I couldn't do so on my own. Cheers!

Went to my local Tudor AD the other day and checked this watch out along with the black bays. They had the in house and ETA Pelagos there. I feel in love with this brand so much if I had the money I would have walked out with the ETA movement Pelagos and the in house along with the black bay bronze. It’s time to put every extra penny in the jar and work hard to get these bad boys.
Damn I had to put my cat 4 sunglasses on to see that strap on the Squale. That Tudor looks fantastic, yes that writing might be a pain, but I could live with it.
Most people don't realise the 5 lines of text are intentionally designed to take the shape of the snowflake hour hand, from a viewing distance. Look again.

T, what a great topic... really took me back, so here goes: My first, and most near and dear to my heart, is a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf, purchased new in 1970 when I started scuba diving at 16 years old. I believe it was under $200.00 at the time. Totally, completely indestructible! It was my daily wear watch (and only watch) until 1974, when I bought my Rolex Sea Dweller (the "red letter" version), for a whopping $446.00 NEW! The Rolex served me well all through Army Special Forces, and the Zodiac was passed on to my younger brother, who still dives to this day. The Zodiac is still my "first" and most sentimental, meaningful watch. Because what impresses me the most about your videos is your grasp and appreciation of the intangibles about a watch, I know you're undoubtably a man who can understand emotional attachment! Thanks for doing what you do.

That color really reminds me of the upscale automotive solid blues from the 20's and 30's. Cadillac, Pierce and mostly Duesenberg, had blues like that. Additionally, with the low key matte look of the titanium as contrast, was very similar in finish contrast, to the lower luster nickel that they used, prior to the brighter chrome of the 50's. That's how it hit me anyhow. Top notch review, TGV.

Definitely superior to my old Seamaster PO. It is just far more comfortable with a better bracelet and utilitarian properties. I have several Rolex divers and after owning this one for a few weeks it usually takes most of my wrist time. Mostly due to the fact that it is the perfect tool watch at a price that does not make one fear wearing it as intended.

I love toolish divers with a bit of style, watches that you can see being used in many situations and environments. I think the versatility is one of the biggest draws for me. Here's my favorites: 1. Omega Planet Ocean - Black dial with a splash of orange. 2. Doxa SUB 1200T Professional - Orange dial. 3. Seiko SKX - Either the 007 or 009. 3(a). Seiko SRP77X Turtle series. 4. Oris Aquis - Considering getting one of these. Great value for money. 5. Tudor Pelagos - Love the blue dial version.

I have such a love for Pelagos... Saved money, and studied about it... unfortunately the Titanium grade 2 made me hold back. It scratches very easy, and I don't wanna wear 3000+ dollar watch with fear. I got me Seiko SBDJ013. Diamond coating on titanium, design, and lume make me happy till TUDOR release coating on their Pelagos. It is a must for that money. Common Tudor if Seiko can do it... For sensitive guys like me, there is also an option on Seiko Samurai in Titanium with Diamond coating.

On my Pelagos the clicks all Sound the same. But the last click at 12 does have a locking system which helps to stop the dial accidentally moving. Beautiful watch but a scratch magnet. Doesn't get much of my wrist time. Great review as usual. 👍

Divers aren't my thing. I would never pay 1000 € for one, let alone 9000. But from my persective: 1. Vostok Amfibija. By far the smartest dive watch design ever. Dirt cheap and does everything a diver needs to. 2. Seiko SKX. A classic tool watch. 3. Orient Mako, the version with date pusher. What an unusual design. 4. Seiko Sumo. Too expensive, but quite an elegant watch case 5. Omega Seamaster 300. Even more expensive, but also an elegant shape.
Submariner 114060 Pierce Brosnan-era Omega Seamasters Squale 1521 Squale 1553 Seiko SBGX115, though I'd love it under the new Grand Seiko branding. There's my top 5! Don't own many of them, but they're fun to lust after.

The new Grand Seiko high beat diver that just came out Baselworld 2017. I can't decide if I like the black dial or limited edition blue dial more. 4. The new 2017 fully tegamented Sinn U-1 that was just released. 5. Here I gotta look at a Blancpan , there are several cool diving models. Thanks for all your great informative vids my friend.

Love the review ... teriffic as usual. However, I think that the Pelagos is more comparable to the Sea Dweller than the Submariner (i.e., the thickness, lack of a cyclops, and gas escape valve).
It's 7/10/2020 and I'm thrilled I found this review on the Pelegos. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one probably my labor day I tried the brown model in today, where it is very nice it's the Blue that makes this watch that and it great features. My wrist and yours are about the same and I felt it felt just fine. In my opinion divers should be kind of big and bold. I to.would love it smaller but here we are three years from your review and I don't see a smaller version coming any time soon. If I do pull the trigger I'll be in the enviable position of having the Breitling Super Ocean Heritage.42mm B20 Red gold and this beauty both with the same movement essentially and pretty much the same size. I can wear the one as almost a dress diver pretty much any where and this my pure deep diver tool watch. This review was simply the best I've seen on the Pelegos and I've suffered through a bunch in do my due diligence on this watch, thanks.
No.1 (personal fav, most comfortable case from divers on my wrist) is reissue of Seiko Turtle. No need to ask for specific model, as most of dial are so beautiful, that I own 3 of them. But let's say my today wrist watch - SRPB01. Very sturdy watches. No.2 Grand Seiko SBGA029. I was a bit sceptic about Spring Drive mechanism, but eventually I went into it. Classy diver, and as you know, GS finishing is top notch. No.3 Ball Engineer Master II diver (DM2020A-SA-BKGR). This diver watch offers so much for the price. Nicely done case, attention to detail maybe not at GS level, but definitely very high, and stunning trithium gas tubes. No 4. Squale 1521 Blue Ocean, polished case. Because of that amazing dial and orange minute hand. No 5. Seiko Orange Monster SRP 309. Most affordable, great diver's watch. I have one in collection and will never let it go, even if it's cheapest in my collection. It has character and it's unique.
I can only make my list based on watches I've owned: 1. Rolex SeaDweller 116600 2. Tudor Pelagos 25600T 3. Sinn U1-T 4. Omega Seamaster 300 Ceramic 5. Resco Patriot Honorable Mention: Squale 1521 It's hard to rank because I've owned so many divers. I had issues with my Pelagos and had to have it sent in for service for the crown hacking not working and some specks under the dial. Ultimately I fell in love with the SD4K while it was gone and I sold it when I got it back from RSC.

Just bought the lhd in person this watch looks simply amazing it is modern and vintage in the same time. It looks expensive but is not an expression of excessive wealth .i highly recommend this timepiece .

@@King_Harrold hello sorry for the delayed response the titanium holds very well actually . it is very difficult to notice small scratches because of the titanium surface oxidation . What is not scratch resistance is the clasp which is SS.Great timepiece highly recommended !

I always assumed that if and hopefully when I indulged myself in buying a luxury watch, it would be an Omega, possibly a Rolex. I could never justify such an outlay, but back in 2014 when I got engaged, I felt it was the perfect opportunity to warrant such a purchase. Well, the lady gets a nice, expensive diamond ring, why shouldn’t us guys get something too...?!
I went in rather blind believing Rolex were the best of the best with their phenomenal marketing and image. As most watch enthusiasts will know, in reality they are second or even third tier compared to the truly esteemed giants like Patek Phillipe, Lange & Söhne etc. That is not to denigrate Rolex, I’d effectively be denigrating my own watch and some by doing so and Rolex is an utterly phenomenal brand with such a wide range of incredibly beautiful watches that I defy anyone not to fall in love with one. The Rolex Daytona Platinum Ice Blue is my such watch and I have no shame in admitting that is out of my price range...!
Anyway, with a budget of up to around £5k I started looking and began with Omega in confidence. While many of the watches were/ are great, when it came to one that I wanted to own, wear and pay my hard cash for, nothing truly spoke to me. The Omega Seamaster garnered obvious interest, but just didn’t do it for me, despite Omega getting much critical acclaim about their wonderful Co-Axial movement.
A touch despondent, I then looked at Rolex, a little reluctantly as I was put off by the admittedly subjective “look at me” stigma it would bring, but supremely confident I would fall in love with one nonetheless. Yet the more I looked, the more I was just underwhelmed and much as I love the aforementioned Daytona, even if I had that kind of money, it is a bit flash for me. The submariner range came closest to getting a bite, but just as with Omega, nothing that remotely convinced me. They were a little small, flashy/ glossy and I didn’t like the amount of text on the face. And I hate cyclops!
Utterly despondent, I began browsing all ranges. A few Tag (I know...) watches looked nice, but ultimately meh, then when all hope was lost, something called a Tudor Pelagos leapt out of the screen. I’d never even heard of Tudor... a little research and I soon learned what we all know, in very crude terms Tudor is effectively made by Rolex at affordable prices, but in real terms that does a complete disservice to the rich heritage and individuality of Tudor in its own right.
I loved that it was largely Rolex quality, but without the albeit subjective stigma’s that come with a Rolex. I loved that it looked like a submariner, but without the glossy, flashy elements. I loved that clean face/ dial with minimal, plain text as opposed to the cluttered, confusing dial of Rolex. The matt finish of the bezel and face made it majestically understated and wonderfully legible. The lume was resplendent, the clasp with its micro adjustments ingenious. The rubber strap included (though given the bracelets ingenuousness I have worn that almost exclusively). The snowflake hands, which after some research is a nod to the historical Tudor submariners that were provided to the French navy in the 1960’s, sums up much of the wonderful contradictions of the Pelagos; a contemporary, modern watch, yet with classic, historical connotations. And I simply adored that it was brushed titanium rather than shiny steel, a big preference for me. Oh, and it didn’t have cyclops!!! It just flew under the radar which I loved and was a watch you wouldn’t be frightened to wear, a proper tool watch. If ever a watch was made for James Bomd, this was/ is it ;-)
After more research than is probably healthy ;-) I looked in to the movement which of course is a massive thing for watch enthusiasts, probably the biggest thing for most and of course the (original) Pelagos has an ETA 2824 movement (albeit a high quality one with Tudor enhancements) rather than an in-house movement. Now I understand my conclusions will be an anathema to those that believe a luxury watch simply must have an in-house movement, but given there was little real world benefit as the Pelagos comfortably runs within chronometer specifications and some, I regarded it unimportant. It would be easier and cheaper to service and though investment potential was and is irrelevant to me, hindsight, whilst still currently subjective of course, indicates the original ETA Pelagos will be more of a collectible that the in-house 5 liner Pelagos given the original 2 liner was only manufactured for 3 years. It is also the first titanium watch made by either Tudor or Rolex. There is precedent of ETA watches, even for Rolex (technically a Valjoux as they were purchased by ETA in 1966) being more collectible than in-house versions.
So as you can probably guess, I bought the Tudor Pelagos and am absolutely delighted with it. Over 5 years later it is losing 1.9 seconds a day (this changes in the summer to around the same but gaining). The 5 liner is a beautiful watch too, I love the blue version, yet as per my stated enthusiasm for understated, non-flashy watches, I admire it yet wouldn’t want it. And I certainly prefer the 2 liner to the 5 as to me the original Pelagos is noticeably different to any Rolex which was a great allure for me, the 5 liner and the lines, pardon the pun, become more blurred. The loss of the marker at 3 is another negative on the new version, but which ever version you have, the Pelagos is amazing.
I’ve never quite understood why the Pelagos doesn’t garner far more acclaim, even playing second fiddle to the Tudor Black Bay, albeit a fine, wonderful watch in its own right. Maybe one day it will be remembered as it deserves to be, but in the mean time I will enjoy wearing it and admire its understated majesty every single day.

Great review. I finally bit the bullet and bought a Pelagos just after the new year in part because the new 5 year warranty. I’ve been very happy so far, and it is holding to well under 1/2 second a day accuracy. The clasp is superb, and it wears very comfortably on my 7.75” wrist.

I actually love these divers from most to least in reverse order but numbered them according to actual use in the water. Perhaps, I am always concerned about taking the Omega seamster into the water, despite its clear capability.
I think the Pelagos is one of the most beautiful dive watches of all time. The fit and finish of the titanium case is absolutely exquisite. However, I hate the fact that it scratches so readily. Moreover, it’s nearly impossible to polish out the gouges, swirls, and scratches - so, you’re pretty much stuck with the blemishes you pick up. It’s too bad, because the case and bracelet are so impeccably finished, it hurts to compromise it just because you’re wearing it. You might like the look of a few scratches; you may even say it adds character. But to me, it’s like owning a pristine Ferrari, and suffering endless door dings.
A stainless steel option would be a huge plus for me too. So used to stainless and brushing out large scratches on my own.
You can get rid of the scratches in the oxidized outer layer of titanium with an eraser believe it or not... Any regular old pencil/Ink eraser preferably using the ink side. Firm strokes along the grain of the brushed links and you will be absolutely shocked how amazing the watch looks! My watch looks brand new after about 45 min of work... TRY IT! What do you have to lose?

SuperPussyFinger I find the titanium is harder wearing than steel. Ive had my Pelagos for a year now and its as good as the day I bought it, apart from the stainless steel clasp which has scratched! As others have said, minor scratches on the titanium can be remover with a diamond rubber, its just in the oxidation film.
Not specific to this video, but a quick thank you for all the work you put into these. I broke my ankle and leg in February and haven't been able to wear a watch since -- until today, my first day back without crutches (I went with the Timex Flyback today, because of the whole learning to walk again thing). Your videos have helped feed my addiction while I couldn't do so on my own. Cheers!

Went to my local Tudor AD the other day and checked this watch out along with the black bays. They had the in house and ETA Pelagos there. I feel in love with this brand so much if I had the money I would have walked out with the ETA movement Pelagos and the in house along with the black bay bronze. It’s time to put every extra penny in the jar and work hard to get these bad boys.

T, what a great topic... really took me back, so here goes: My first, and most near and dear to my heart, is a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf, purchased new in 1970 when I started scuba diving at 16 years old. I believe it was under $200.00 at the time. Totally, completely indestructible! It was my daily wear watch (and only watch) until 1974, when I bought my Rolex Sea Dweller (the "red letter" version), for a whopping $446.00 NEW! The Rolex served me well all through Army Special Forces, and the Zodiac was passed on to my younger brother, who still dives to this day. The Zodiac is still my "first" and most sentimental, meaningful watch.
Because what impresses me the most about your videos is your grasp and appreciation of the intangibles about a watch, I know you're undoubtably a man who can understand emotional attachment! Thanks for doing what you do.

That color really reminds me of the upscale automotive solid blues from the 20's and 30's. Cadillac, Pierce and mostly Duesenberg, had blues like that. Additionally, with the low key matte look of the titanium as contrast, was very similar in finish contrast, to the lower luster nickel that they used, prior to the brighter chrome of the 50's. That's how it hit me anyhow. Top notch review, TGV.

Definitely superior to my old Seamaster PO. It is just far more comfortable with a better bracelet and utilitarian properties. I have several Rolex divers and after owning this one for a few weeks it usually takes most of my wrist time. Mostly due to the fact that it is the perfect tool watch at a price that does not make one fear wearing it as intended.

Whilst possibly two more unusual choices, the Bremont is an exceptionally tough and beautiful watch. The Marathon is pure military functionality, its beauty is in its pure form factor - nothing superfluous and designed from necessity.

I have such a love for Pelagos... Saved money, and studied about it... unfortunately the Titanium grade 2 made me hold back. It scratches very easy, and I don't wanna wear 3000+ dollar watch with fear. I got me Seiko SBDJ013. Diamond coating on titanium, design, and lume make me happy till TUDOR release coating on their Pelagos. It is a must for that money. Common Tudor if Seiko can do it... For sensitive guys like me, there is also an option on Seiko Samurai in Titanium with Diamond coating.

On my Pelagos the clicks all Sound the same. But the last click at 12 does have a locking system which helps to stop the dial accidentally moving.

Divers aren't my thing. I would never pay 1000 € for one, let alone 9000. But from my persective:
1. Vostok Amfibija. By far the smartest dive watch design ever. Dirt cheap and does everything a diver needs to.
2. Seiko SKX. A classic tool watch.
3. Orient Mako, the version with date pusher. What an unusual design.
4. Seiko Sumo. Too expensive, but quite an elegant watch case
5. Omega Seamaster 300. Even more expensive, but also an elegant shape.

Hi TVG, here are my favorite divers; 1. Rolex Deep Sea -Cameron, which I own. 2. The new 43 mm Rolex Sea Dweller, red line ( I'm on a waiting list), 3. The new Grand Seiko high beat diver that just came out Baselworld 2017. I can't decide if I like the black dial or limited edition blue dial more. 4. The new 2017 fully tegamented Sinn U-1 that was just released. 5. Here I gotta look at a Blancpan , there are several cool diving models. Thanks for all your great informative vids my friend.

Love the review ... teriffic as usual. However, I think that the Pelagos is more comparable to the Sea Dweller than the Submariner (i.e., the thickness, lack of a cyclops, and gas escape valve).
It's 7/10/2020 and I'm thrilled I found this review on the Pelegos. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one probably my labor day I tried the brown model in today, where it is very nice it's the Blue that makes this watch that and it great features. My wrist and yours are about the same and I felt it felt just fine. In my opinion divers should be kind of big and bold. I to.would love it smaller but here we are three years from your review and I don't see a smaller version coming any time soon. If I do pull the trigger I'll be in the enviable position of having the Breitling Super Ocean Heritage.42mm B20 Red gold and this beauty both with the same movement essentially and pretty much the same size. I can wear the one as almost a dress diver pretty much any where and this my pure deep diver tool watch. This review was simply the best I've seen on the Pelegos and I've suffered through a bunch in do my due diligence on this watch, thanks.

No.1 (personal fav, most comfortable case from divers on my wrist) is reissue of Seiko Turtle. No need to ask for specific model, as most of dial are so beautiful, that I own 3 of them. But let's say my today wrist watch - SRPB01. Very sturdy watches.
No.2 Grand Seiko SBGA029. I was a bit sceptic about Spring Drive mechanism, but eventually I went into it. Classy diver, and as you know, GS finishing is top notch.
No.3 Ball Engineer Master II diver (DM2020A-SA-BKGR). This diver watch offers so much for the price. Nicely done case, attention to detail maybe not at GS level, but definitely very high, and stunning trithium gas tubes.
No 4. Squale 1521 Blue Ocean, polished case. Because of that amazing dial and orange minute hand.
No 5. Seiko Orange Monster SRP 309. Most affordable, great diver's watch. I have one in collection and will never let it go, even if it's cheapest in my collection. It has character and it's unique.

It's hard to rank because I've owned so many divers. I had issues with my Pelagos and had to have it sent in for service for the crown hacking not working and some specks under the dial. Ultimately I fell in love with the SD4K while it was gone and I sold it when I got it back from RSC.
